Gwendolin is gone?!
"..."
Upon realizing the change, Ronald's movents instantly froze.
He imdiately scanned his surroundings, but unfortunately, nothing had changed nearby.
Gwendolin's abilities are inherently difficult to perceive.
Ronald originally relied on the cheat-like effect of the "Capitalism" spell to barely know she was around.
But at this very mont, as the last bit of clue disappeared.
He couldn't detect a trace of Gwendolin anymore.
"..."
Ronald's expression instantly darkened.
Gwendolin's timing of disappearance is just too coincidental.
Just as he had seen the ssage about the cult magician preparing to summon a great entity, Gwendolin chose to leave imdiately, without leaving any trace or farewell.
It's hard not to make so associations with this kind of situation.
—Is Gwendolin connected to this thing?
—Or perhaps after seeing the ssage, Gwendolin also thought this was the most urgent matter and hurried to handle it?
Various speculations surfaced in Ronald's mind one by one.
However, now that Gwendolin has already left, even if he wanted to verify, he has no opportunity to do so.
"Ronald, why has your expression changed again?"
At this mont, Eloise noticed the change in Ronald's expression and asked:
"Besides this ssage, is there anything else we've overlooked?"
Ronald thought seriously for a few seconds before speaking to Eloise:
"Eloise, you've lived in [Joluno] for a while. During this ti, have you ever heard the na 'Gwendolin'?"
Ronald rembered very clearly, the first ti he t Gwendolin, she explicitly said she was being hunted by cult magicians. Later, she landed in [Roonie Kingdom], using this excuse to conceal herself.
Previously, Ronald could ignore this information, as it wasn't a major issue.
But now, after this series of changes…
The doubts surrounding Gwendolin must be cleared up.
However, the outco looked quite grim.
Eloise took Ronald's inquiry very seriously, but her first reaction was to bow her head in deep thought:
"Gwendolin…"
After pondering for a few seconds, Eloise confidently raised her head:
"I have never heard this na, or at least during the few months I've been in [Roonie Kingdom], I have definitely never heard this na in my presence!"
"..."
To be safe, Ronald confird again:
"Then have the cult magicians here publicly hunted anyone? This person's identity and claim should be sowhat unique."
Eloise shook her head decisively:
"No, Ronald."
"Because the governnt's policies don't align, in my understanding of [Roonie Kingdom], there hasn't been any official public hunt announcent as of now."
"..."
Could Eloise be lying?
At least in serious matters directed at himself, Ronald trusts that Eloise wouldn't deceive him.
Then the possibility is simple—Gwendolin must have lied to him.
"Damn bastard…"
Ronald couldn't help but curse, then explained to the worried Eloise:
"Eloise, it's like this."
"When I first set foot on [Anluo Island], soone claiming to have a big conflict with cult magicians contacted . She calls herself Gwendolin and claid to be hunted by cult magicians…"
After informing Eloise about Gwendolin, Ronald eased up a little.
In her place, Patricia and Eloise began discussing:
"Eloise, what do you think about this matter?"
Like Ronald, Eloise shook her head:
"Currently, the information we have is severely limited, and we cannot make an accurate judgnt."
"However, since she exhibits a personality fundantally opposing human nature and approached Ronald with lies—this person can be tentatively regarded as soone with ill intentions."
Patricia nodded in agreent:
"That's right, and do you rember? Ronald once had contact with and even thwarted a plan for the arrival of a great entity. So could it be—because of this connection, Gwendolin ca to contact him?"
"The possibility is not small." Eloise imdiately agreed with Patricia's guess, "Cult magicians, great entities, unique origin spells—these three elents coming together make for an extrely unlikely scenario."
At this point, Eloise's gaze shifted to the docunts in Ronald's hand:
"Not to ntion the fact that once we discovered this information, she chose to disappear imdiately."
Patricia had no objections to this:
"You're right."
"Even with insufficient current information, within the scope of what we know, this Gwendolin is definitely not a person easy to deal with."
Eloise flashed a smile at Patricia and finally concluded:
"So to deal with such people, it's best to nip this dangerous seed before an unexpected crisis arises!"
"..."
In just a few sentences, Eloise and Patricia completely reached an agreent.
The two of them turned their gaze to Ronald, almost in unison, asking:
"Ronald, is it ti to act now?"
I intended to respond that way...
Ronald wanted to reply.
But seeing the two young won looking at him so uniformly, Ronald couldn't help but smile and shake his head:
"I'll listen to you both, all up to you."
"Let's head out now; whether it's Gwendolin or the ritual prepared by cult magicians, we'd best be able to resolve everything today."
As he finished speaking, Ronald conjured his own original text in his hand.
It was this action that reminded Ronald of sothing, prompting him to turn around and hand Eloise a book:
"By the way, this is the original text I acquired over at [Entrold]."
"The spells within overlap almost entirely with my spell system, so it's not very useful to . Eloise, I think you could try using it."
Considering Eloise's relationship with Ronald, she simply whispered her thanks and accepted the original text of "Human Body Construction," without appearing overly grateful.
Ronald continued to lead the way.
As the three left the venue, he recited the spell from "Astronomy Master":
"Starting from the relationship between the earth and sky, we will begin to form our understanding..."
As they took off, Ronald finally expressed:
"Honestly, among people I've t, you both definitely count as so of the most proactive personalities."
"This feeling is quite nice, isn't it?"
