Now reading: Chapter 1210 1204: Jin Feather from Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength, a Fantasy novel by Lost Solar Sail.

The greedy girl encountered at the beginning.

The kind lady before entering the Golden Feather.

As Ronald and Patricia entered the maze before them, he couldn't help but think of these two completely different individuals.

This was Ronald's first ti on the night street.

His main activities were also focused on the issues brought by the maze storybook.

To say that such an experience could bring him any profound insights would be impossible.

But such a vivid contrast still made him feel a bit sentintal. Even in a place ruled by cult magicians, even on such a night street, the differences between people are still so striking.

So previously oversimplified perceptions were indeed still immature.

"Ronald, look ahead."

Unlike the sentintal Ronald, Patricia was more focused on the maze before them. Just a few steps into the Golden Feather, the swordswoman noticed sothing noteworthy.

"The door on the left hasn't been opened by anyone, but the right side is completely open."

What Patricia was referring to was the situation at the end of their path. This corridor stretched straight ahead, branching left and right at the very back, where one could see the farthest situation from where they stood.

At the ends of the left and right were three large doors each.

But just as Patricia ntioned, the doors on the left were all closed, while those on the right were all open.

Patricia followed her train of thought and spoke:

"Ronald, could this sense of imbalance be so kind of information inherent to the maze?"

Ronald, however, due to his previous thoughts, had a different perspective now:

"Patricia, do you rember the information the lady at the entrance told us?"

Patricia thought for a mont and imdiately reacted:

"You an... soone ca in today, but no one left?"

"Exactly, so I lean more towards this being a trap," Ronald nodded and continued, "If it were really information about the maze itself, even though it's very difficult to navigate, it's highly likely soone would have escaped out of fear."

With this line of thought, Patricia naturally understood Ronald's perspective:

"So the side with the open doors is a trap, preventing people from leaving... But here's the thing, why did previous people all choose one side instead of the unopened doors on the other side?"

"That's because our perspectives are different," Ronald continued to explain to Patricia, "Patricia, it's our first ti on the night street and the Golden Feather. This inevitably leads to different understandings."

At this point, Patricia naturally grasped the idea imdiately:

"The structure of the Golden Feather required people to go in that direction before!"

"So those who have been to the Golden Feather and know the layout would instinctively choose the 'correct path' that's actually hiding a trap!"

Ronald nodded:

"Exactly, that's what I believe."

Having said that, Ronald didn't plan to stay in place any longer, and he started moving towards the end with the closed doors, instructing the girl behind him:

"Patricia, you stay here and keep an eye out."

"If you see anything, rember to alert imdiately."

Patricia had no objections:

"Leave it to ."

"..."

With his companion guarding the entrance, Ronald proceeded confidently into the depths of the corridor.

Although the building here was significantly expanded by the rules of the maze storybook, it hadn't yet reached a stage of being problematic. Ronald only needed to put in a bit of ti before successfully reaching the end of the path.

Three doors. He casually pushed the middle one.

Click—

The closed door wasn't locked, and Ronald didn't expend any effort to open it.

And beyond the door, a spiral staircase descending directly underground stretched out, with its contents invisible from the top.

Underground—this indeed looked like the handiwork of the magical realm.

In this world, when it cos to ventures underground, it's definitely the enthusiasm of these casters.

Ronald raised an eyebrow but didn't proceed further.

He stepped back, opened the other two doors, and found outcos identical to the middle door—both leading to spiral staircases going underground.

—It indeed appeared hazard-free.

"Patricia, co over, it seems alright here!"

Calling the swordswoman over, Ronald also examined the spiral staircase from above.

But it was unfortunate.

The spiral staircase was long enough, with its structure blending with the walls, giving no opportunity to glimpse downward. To uncover everything, one had to enter below personally as the only option.

At this mont, Patricia also ca closer and naturally asked Ronald:

"Ronald, which path should we take?"

Ronald responded without hesitation:

"The usual, always choose the furthest left."

On the way to the night street, Ronald and Patricia had already collaborated to navigate so labyrinths. In maze exploration, sticking to one side and moving forward consistently is never wrong.

Even if this thod doesn't lead to success.

In facing impassable labyrinth twists, you also can retreat and erge.

Especially here at the Golden Feather, Ronald and Patricia could conveniently choose the leftmost path—an innate insurance for conquering the maze!

"Alright, let's go."

"Let's move."

With a look exchanged, Ronald and Patricia proceeded down the leftmost spiral staircase.

Upon reaching the base of the spiral staircase, they imdiately noted sothing odd ahead.

The underground that the staircase led to wasn't in the Golden Feather's businesslike décor, but a crudely excavated underground cavity.

Especially within this purely dug-out underground tunnel, Ronald didn't even find support beams for weight.

Even if it were a cartoonish world from the maze storybook.

If a disaster truly occurred, collapsing debris would surely obstruct any escape.

The current Ronald and Patricia were not those supernaturally gifted casters from their original world. Trapped underground in a maze, they couldn't dig through like pangolins!

Confronting such a scene, Patricia, equally aware of the implications, spoke:

"Ronald, could it be that those who entered earlier were buried underground?"

Ronald shrugged, his tone filled with genuine helplessness:

"Who knows?"

"In any case, I wouldn't recomnd proceeding here—or if we're determined to continue, we must first examine the situation at the other two staircases."

Patricia agreed:

"You're right, let's go back and check."

In dealing with such a maze, thorough investigation was naturally the safest approach, so Ronald and Patricia promptly retreated to conduct a detailed examination.

But just as they climbed the spiral staircase.

A problem erged.

Ronald and Patricia were now facing a corridor with only a single door.

This place was completely different from how it was when they ca down!
