She then boldly jumped onto the fireball, even reaching out to pat its surface, producing a 'pat-pat' sound.

Its inherently unstable consciousness made it difficult for this fire elent to move. Not to ntion the Confusion Magic Katrina used earlier, which prevented it from realizing that two humans were in front of it, only considering them as unconscious inorganic matter.
