Following the direction the prisoner indicated.
Ronald and his two companions proceeded deep into the unguarded prison.
Before long, they experienced firsthand what it ant by "heavily guarded."
The special cell located in the southeast corner of the prison was not only isolated by independent spell barriers from other cells. Physically, it also had three costly alloy doors, making escape exceedingly difficult from all perspectives.
Moreover, outside the cell.
Unlike other uniformly managed prisons, there was a specially designated surveillance room for guarding here, which seed to belong to a type of strict watch where multiple people took shifts ensuring a twenty-four-hour watch.
"Good gracious..."
As an industry professional, Nicole was both amazed and walked over to touch the tal door.
Until she was unwilling to leave for too long, causing her finger to be snapped back by the defensive barrier with a 'snap' sound.
The young investigator rubbed her sore palm and marveled:
"Over at our place, this is definitely the treatnt only an original holder would receive. The [Nine Commandnts Secret eting] really is wealthy to build sothing like this."
At the sa ti, Ronald was filled with hope about this place:
"For us, this is the best news!"
"The more extravagant the guard specifications, the higher the status and position of the prisoner inside, and thus the greater the probability they know the whereabouts of the 'Book of Interpretation'!"
This point perfectly aligned with the goal Ronald and his companions had by breaking in.
How could this not be good news?
This ti, there was no need for Costate to slowly break through the barrier.
Ronald, in a good mood, stepped forward and, using the sa motion as Nicole earlier, reached out to touch the alloy door in front of him.
Snap—
The arc of magic exploded between his palm and the door.
The defensive magic that could repel Nicole naturally wouldn't be weak.
But now, it was Ronald's turn to make a move!
He activated his defensive spell, directly confronting the formidable barrier. Then, he resolutely exerted force with his hands, causing the alloy door to emit a screeching, distorted sound.
Crack, crack, crack—
Ignoring the barrier, Ronald placed his overwhelming power directly onto the iron door.
The lock chanism of the door couldn't withstand such a level of force.
In just a few breaths, Ronald succeeded in tearing apart the structure within the door with brute force.
At this point, the first iron door was damaged, while the spell barrier continued to confront Ronald's body.
However, he didn't care about these interruptions.
After pulling open the first door, Ronald continued to press forward against the barrier, stepping steadily to the second door, stretching out his hands again.
Crack, crack, crack—
Though the two alloy doors had varying strength, the outco was the sa.
After holding off Ronald for a few seconds, the second door also twisted extensively under this unstoppable force and finally gave way.
When Ronald stepped up to the third door.
The barrier that had been contending with him now showed signs of failing; the once bright magic arc lost much of its initial vigor, unable to fend off intruders at the first iron door.
Simultaneously, Ronald nonchalantly reached out his hands for the third ti.
Crack, crack, crack—
The sa twisting sound, the sa result.
The last sealed alloy door opened with a sound.
At this mont, the barrier connected to the three iron doors finally broke down under direct confrontation with Ronald.
As the sound of the collapsing iron doors and spell barrier echoed together.
Ronald pushed open the last door and waved back to Nicole and Costate:
"The door is open, co in and take a look."
"..."
The trio entered the prison, and the internal scene imdiately caught their eyes.
Here, instead of a cage for holding prisoners, it resembled a studio apartnt.
Unlike the cramped space which simply served as a shelter for regular prisoners.
Here, there were clearly marked living and resting areas and also areas for sanitation and office work.
A caster who appeared quite old.
At the mont, he was slouching in a chair behind a desk, his eyes gently closed, his arm limply hanging beside the armrest.
Could he be dead?
Ronald raised an eyebrow and imdiately stepped forward to adjust the person's posture.
Their body was warm, breathing even.
Good news—this fellow wasn't dead.
He seed to be of significant status, appearing to be in his forties or fifties.
But his refined lifestyle had kept him in significantly good condition, giving off an aged but not frail impression.
Snap, snap—
Ronald patted the man's cheeks, yet the caster did not awaken.
By opening his eyelids and inspecting the pupil state, Ronald confird the man was in a coma, almost entirely unconscious.
Watching Ronald's examination, Nicole also approached closer.
As an investigator, she ca to the sa conclusion, but her words didn't spare the fellow:
"Why did this guy faint?"
"Ronald, surely it wasn't because your thunder scared him, was it?"
Ronald rolled his eyes at Nicole:
"How could it be possible?"
"Even assuming he heard my thunder, soone of his standing wouldn't faint over such a trivial thing!"
Ronald and Nicole started bickering.
However, Costate's actions were more direct.
Seeing the others had finished their check, the maid directly stepped forward, probing sequentially from the head, neck, heart, and wrist areas.
Even before Ronald and Nicole's conversation ended.
Costate straightened up and stated her recently obtained conclusion:
"Sir, this man's coma isn't a natural response but from a mysterious magic potion, and regular thods likely cannot wake him."
"Magic potion..." Hearing this term, Ronald frowned.
In his spell repertoire, countering abnormal states relied on the 'Origin of Species' vitality system. But against such magic potion interference, even Ronald wasn't sure of success.
While Ronald hesitated, Nicole had already started acting.
The young investigator swiftly drew several runes with her fingers and then jabbed a finger into the caster's chest.
"Ugh—ah—"
With the spell's impact, the unconscious body imdiately convulsed, letting out instinctive cries of pain.
Seeing the situation, Nicole arched an eyebrow, quickly about to switch to another rune to try...
"Hold on a mont!"
Seeing this scene, Ronald hurriedly pulled a reluctant Nicole away from the person, then turned to the maid standing nearby:
"Costate, since you've identified it, do you have a way to lift his coma?"
The maid nodded gently, replying in a calm tone:
"Sir, I can do it, but it will take so ti."
