Now reading: Chapter 234 - 233: The Identity of the Girl from Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength, a Fantasy novel by Lost Solar Sail.

Claudia stood quietly in place, her calm eyes fixed on Ronald Adler, her expression faintly tinged with expectation.

However, being observed by such a young girl,

Ronald had no interest in appreciating her beauty at the mont.

On the contrary, he was extrely nervous inside.

The current situation had escalated beyond the initial stage, where key information involved female students or investigator identities.

Consider this—

Within a strictly managed college, what kind of person would act haughty like that young man earlier, who dared to rebuke Ronald’s appearance even before seeing his face clearly?

Offspring of high officials, successors of wealthy rchants, social elites...

Only those unafraid of offending others would have such identities.

And considering the carefully grood handso face of the other party and the tone he used while speaking,

Ronald thought that the young man nad Gron was likely the offspring of a high official or a noble, otherwise he wouldn’t have dared to show such a strong attitude earlier.

Pushing the details further back would yield even clearer information.

Through observations over the past while,

Ronald was confident that Wildering University was an excellent school; its strict managent and exceptional campus scenery were proof of that.

Hence, it was clear that the student body would definitely include children of influential figures.

Even in such a school,

Gron, without knowing that Ronald was "illegally trespassing," had bluntly rebuked him.

This indicated that this young man’s status was certainly higher than that of a typical noble offspring.

Thus what was the young man’s reaction afterward?

It was only Claudia’s rebuke.

That made him helplessly choose to flee ignominiously!

Such behavior was drastically different from his earlier youthful arrogance.

The most plausible explanation,

was that the young lady facing Ronald had a much higher status than Gron, which was why he reacted that way.

Now, the information was quite straightforward.

—A status high above others, even by multiple degrees.

—Studying at a strictly managed top university in the capital city.

—Capable of using Investigative Bureau’s spells, and acting with a dominant style.

Combining this information, a bold speculation surfaced in Ronald’s mind.

Could Claudia possibly be a direct relative of a high-ranking official in the Investigative Bureau?

If that were the case...

After the conclusion rushed through his mind like a train passing through a tunnel, Ronald instinctively answered the girl’s question with even greater speed,

"Ronald, just call Ronald."

"..."

Hearing Ronald’s response, satisfaction imdiately flickered across Claudia’s face as she stood in front of him.

However, that satisfaction soon lted into contemplation and puzzlent.

After hesitating for the duration of a breath, the young girl gently hugged her book to her chest, then spoke with a tone of slight confusion,

"Ronald..."

"Is it Ronald Adler?"

This response instantly confird Ronald’s speculation.

His identity as the original holder had indeed only been made public for a limited ti; the ordinary information network might not yet have had a chance to spread the information.

Only an organization like the Investigative Bureau, with its nationwide reach and extrely fast speed of information transfer, could possess such capabilities!

Without much thought, Ronald had confird Claudia’s identity.

Thus, he almost answered instinctively,

"If I rember correctly, that would indeed be my na."

"Ronald Adler."

"..."

Holding her book to her chest, Claudia briefly lost herself in thought before laughing out loud again:

"Ha ha ha—"

"What are you saying about ’if I rember correctly’?"

"It’s your own na, isn’t it? Are you kidding by saying you forgot?"

The girl seed genuinely very happy.

She laughed so hard that tears even ford at the corners of her eyes.

"..."

Ronald, watching the girl in front of him with an embarrassed expression, awkwardly scratched his head.

To be honest, he was feeling a bit too tense right now.

So much so that he had lost the calm he usually had when talking to others.

After quickly admonishing himself internally, Ronald imdiately adjusted his mindset and continued:

"Well..."

"The reason I climbed the wall to get into the school is because there was a reason."

Hearing Ronald speak again and steering the conversation back on track, Claudia quickly stopped laughing and listened quietly.

Seeing the girl’s reaction, Ronald continued:

"This afternoon, when I was in the city, I encountered so troubling matters. Afterwards, because I couldn’t determine the other person’s identity and motives, I wanted to sneak in here quietly."

At this point, Claudia nodded thoughtfully:

"Oh—"

"So, you climbed the wall because you had already locked onto the target you were watching and wanted to check things out."

Ronald nodded in acknowledgnt:

"Yes, it’s that simple."

"..."

At this point, Claudia didn’t ask any further questions.

After silently contemplating for a few seconds, she suddenly asked a question that Ronald did not expect:

"By the way, did you follow the target here using the Spell in your hand?"

Now understanding the other’s identity, Ronald didn’t think of concealing anything.

He openly acknowledged:

"Yes, it’s the Tracking Spell I have here."

"As long as the target is a normal human, I hardly have any problems in tracking and locating enemies."

Watching Ronald’s confident deanor, Claudia continued calmly:

"I do believe what you say."

"To be able to lock onto a target within Wildering College, which is heavily guarded by spells, Ronald, the Spell you use must be incredibly powerful."

"It’s just that..."

Claudia paused briefly at this point,

and then watched Ronald with a teasing smile.

It seed... she was waiting for Ronald to guess sothing?

Facing the girl’s attitude,

Ronald imdiately expanded his thinking and deduced.

Their conversation hadn’t strayed from the subject, so Claudia’s words were hinting at the conversation itself.

The heavily-guarded Wildering University...

Suddenly, an unpleasant idea appeared in Ronald’s mind.

With a sowhat uncomfortable expression, he looked at Claudia and cautiously asked:

"So inside this university..."

"Are there many Spells at work for protection or for detecting intruders?"
