Following the supervisor nad Asor,

Ronald arrived at a eting room on the second floor of the rchant’s office.

After both n were seated, a servant poured tea, and once the miscellaneous staff left, only Ronald and Asor remained in the eting room.

Asor lifted the cup of tea before him with a natural motion.

After carefully taking a sip, the manager of the Ginkgo Leaf Business Alliance imdiately began:

"Mr. Ronald, the reason you need a teorite."

"It’s because of our side, correct?"

"..."

As soon as the conversation began, Asor steered it to the main topic.

Which suited Ronald just fine.

So, with equal directness, Ronald nodded:

"That’s right, it’s for spell research purposes."

"The quality of the teorite I need doesn’t have to be too high, nor does the size need to be specific, but I hope to acquire as many varieties as possible."

Upon hearing Ronald’s request, Asor imdiately bowed his head in thought.

"A variety of types, you say..."

In just a few breaths, the rchant seed to recall the items he was seeking.

Then, adopting a confident deanor, he asked Ronald:

"If our side can provide three different types of teorite fragnts, Mr. Ronald, what do you intend to offer in exchange?"

Ronald imdiately voiced his thoughts:

"When I was in Berengaria, I had a collaboration with Mr. Everton. For , this thod of cooperation is preferable."

"..."

Asor didn’t respond right away.

But Ronald clearly saw the businessman’s hands tremble slightly.

It was obvious that he was tempted.

Ronald was a bona fide holder of an original text!

And his abilities, demonstrated in recent days, proved he was quite a reliable fighter.

The help of such a caster would pique the interest of any organization.

Of course, the basic qualities of a rchant were still inherent in Asor’s instincts.

Steadily placing his teacup back on the table, he continued:

"Mr. Ronald, you an to say that you plan to engage in another collaboration with our comrcial guild, and let the teorite be part of your compensation."

"Regarding these details..."

"I haven’t misunderstood your intentions, have I?"

Ronald nodded straightforwardly in response:

"Your understanding is completely correct."

"However, like before in Berengaria, there are certain unbecoming matters I will not partake in."

Asor quickly said:

"Our guild never forces friends to do anything they do not wish to."

"Especially an excellent partner like you, who has had a pleasant collaboration with us and possesses outstanding abilities!"

Observing Asor’s attitude, Ronald of course understood that today’s business was as good as settled.

Likewise picking up his teacup for a sip, Ronald then said:

"In that case, do we consider our interests aligned?"

"Of course!" Asor imdiately replied to Ronald’s question. However, his face could not help but show a hint of anxiety, and with so hesitation, he said:

"But, Mr. Ronald, there is sothing I hope you will understand."

Ronald raised his hand gently:

"Please speak."

Asor then continued:

"You are, after all, a person in possession of a book."

"If we are to employ you, the work arrangents and corresponding compensation need to go through ticulous internal discussions within the guild, and even the contracts to be signed require customization..."

He spoke in an increasingly hurried tone.

Suddenly realizing sothing, Asor quickly added on:

"Of course, this by no ans implies a lack of sincerity on our part!"

"To show how much we value you, I’ll present you personally, as a gift right now, with a piece of teorite from the Springs warehouse, and I insist you accept it!"

"..."

This was indeed very enthusiastic.

Watching Asor’s cautious deanor, Ronald once again keenly felt the weight of being a holder of an original text.

But considering that he would work for them in the future,

After Asor was done speaking, Ronald strove to show as much goodwill as possible.

"Mr. Asor, there’s no need to be so nervous."

"Having co to engage with the guild, I certainly carry an attitude of seeking collaboration, and I’m very pleased that we have reached a mutual understanding."

"..."

Hearing Ronald’s comforting words, Asor’s previously agitated expression slowly relaxed.

He took another sip from his teacup before continuing:

"I apologize for any embarrassnt caused."

"But I swear on my na that having the chance to collaborate with you, Mr. Ronald, is the best thing that’s happened to this week, even this month."

"Lately, Springs has really beco more and more tense..."

"..."

Seeing Asor’s expression, Ronald could, to so extent, understand the other party.

Just as he had learned from the Nine Commandnts secret society or friends, more and more foreign casters were entering the city recently, many people who used to be there were leaving, and all aspects of the environnt were changing.

To continue doing business in such a drastically changing city,

For guilds with arcane backgrounds, the challenges they faced would only be more nurous and arduous compared to before, so it was no wonder they reacted this way.

Perhaps that was also why.

Soone like himself, a holder of an original text, had beco such a sought after asset...

With this in mind, Ronald proceeded to further the conversation:

"So with that said,"

"Mr. Asor, when can we expect to have the details of our collaboration finalized?"

As soon as Ronald asked the question, Asor responded without hesitation:

"Within a week!"

"Within one week’s ti, we will present you with the best proposal. As for the teorite you need, I will have it delivered from the Springs warehouse by tomorrow at the latest!"

Ronald nodded to show understanding:

"In that case, shall I go and wait for your good news?"

Hearing Ronald imply he was preparing to leave,

Asor glanced out the window, then set down his teacup and stood up:

"The fault is ours, for having taken up so much of your ti."

"If you don’t mind, may our guild’s carriage take you back?"

Ronald declined Asor’s offer:

"That won’t be necessary."

"I was planning to take a walk before heading back; I’ll manage on my own."

Asor imdiately walked to the doorway and opened the door:

"Then may I see you downstairs?"

Having declined the offer of a carriage ride, Ronald naturally wouldn’t refuse an offer to be escorted downstairs.

To do so would appear overly detached.

So with a faint smile, he courteously nodded:

"That would be much appreciated."
