In the woodland was a magic sword constantly searching for puppets, then killing them.

On the ground was Hell Fog that gradually spread, not sparing any suspicious corner.

Ronald and Alya were simply flying in the air.

The spell with remarkable autonomous movent capabilities would successfully help them accomplish their goal tonight.

After a few minutes, simple and easy.

Not a single puppet in the birch woods was left moving.

The magic sword made of Magic Power flew back to Alya’s side, quietly hovering behind her, so calm at this mont that one could hardly imagine the strong power it had when destroying the puppets just before.

Alya nodded in satisfaction, then turned her head to Ronald and asked,

"Ronald, did you find anything?"

"So discoveries."

Ronald imdiately replied.

From the mont he finished reciting the incantation, he had been paying attention to the exploration of the black fog in the woods. He even included the surrounding areas in the search, not only where the puppets were active, just to be thorough.

Mil’s personal workshop was placed right in the middle of the woods.

Although it didn’t follow the mystical tradition of hiding things underground, there was indeed a place with obvious signs of construction, which also contained many tools.

Taking Alya with him, he flew to the destination.

The secret base belonging to Mil appeared before the two of them.

A wooden hut with only a simple structure stood in the cleared woodland, with bisected puppet remnants lying near the open door, and an unfriendly paint odor rushed into their noses even before they entered.

The main body of the hut was brand new, and one could even clearly see the marks left when cutting the timber; built in the wilderness, there were no weeds growing near the house either.

After scanning the surroundings, Ronald imdiately made a judgnt while descending to the ground:

"This place hasn’t been established for too long, we’ve co just in ti."

Alya naturally followed:

"It’s a fortunate misfortune."

Ronald and Alya were both Casters with strong abilities, not to ntion they had just ’cleaned’ the area like scouring the ground here.

They destroyed the defensive spells set up around the hut.

The two of them walked into the wooden hut with quite a relaxed attitude.

Mil’s newly built workshop wasn’t large, roughly the size of an ordinary Hunter’s cabin. However, this simply shaped house had its own structure entirely.

In the center of the room was a workbench for puppet adjustnt and modification, with all the tools a woodworker would use, clearly for Mil’s work.

On the right side of the room, various colors of paint cans were neatly arranged.

Outside the similarly colored but differently packaged paint cans, Mil even put tags on the cans, marking out with fairly recognizable notes which paint ca from which company.

And on the left side of the room, the contents here were the most worriso.

They were a large pile of puppets stacked upon each other, only their external shapes completed.

They only awaited a coat of paint and a spell, and they could imdiately beco Mil’s handy all-purpose tools.

Seeing this, Alya clearly showed so dissatisfaction and smacked her lips.

"Tsk—"

"You could’ve at least cleaned this up."

Swish—

Complaining words had barely left her lips when the enchanted sword on Alya’s back instantly flew out. The sharp blade hacked back and forth over the stacked puppets and quickly finished off these ’escaped fish.’

anwhile, Ronald had made his way to the farthest corner of the room.

In this last remaining space of the workshop, two iron safes the size of wardrobes stood, guarding so of Mil’s secrets.

Clang—

Without much thought, Ronald used Saint Catherine’s Sword to strike.

With a light clang, the safe door was instantly destroyed.

The hardness and sharpness of the Saint’s legacy were beyond the resistance the two safes were designed to withstand. Along with the spells Mil had set up, Saint Catherine’s Sword directly exposed the contents of the safes.

"..."

Staring at the contents of the safe in front of him, Ronald blinked speechlessly.

The contents of the safe on the left were fairly normal; precious gemstones and spellcasting materials were stored within it, and in the central compartnt of the safe, there was even a notebook with a few pages of notes.

But the safe on the right...

It contained a grill and so at products, as well as a substantial number of seasonings. It seed Mil had considered not just her work in the workshop but her life camping outdoors as well.

Looking at the findings before her, Alya reached for the notebook in the left safe, "I’ll have a look first."

Ronald nodded in response, "No problem."

"..."

The notebook wasn’t thick, and Alya flipped through it quickly.

In less than a few minutes, she closed the notebook and passed it to Ronald.

"As I suspected, this guy got his hands on one of the fairy tale originals. To ensure the safety of this world, it would be best if we sealed it as soon as possible."

Hearing this, a question imdiately popped into Ronald’s mind.

So he tentatively asked, "To be honest, I don’t quite understand the fairy tale spell system..."

"Curious, huh?" Alya tilted her head, her eyes devoid of emotion. After receiving Ronald’s question, she pondered for a mont before replying, "It’s a bit tricky to monitor, but you can refer to the information announced by the ’Scroll Study Group’ that night."

Ronald’s eyes sharpened, his expression contemplative,

"So what you’re saying is, fairy tales also belong to a type of knowledge system?"

"System might be overstating it, but these fairy tales are indeed a form of information as well. They are subject to spreading and pose a potential threat to human society," Alya nodded in agreent with Ronald’s guess and then continued, "However, in reality, fairy tales are much more dangerous than ordinary spells."

Ronald understood further, "Because of their unstoppable spread?"

Alya imdiately nodded,

"Witches living in the woods, knights rescuing princesses, people with magical experiences of goodness..."

"Elders telling stories to children, slight changes in daily life—these are facts about the spread of fairy tales that can’t be ignored. Trying to stop them outright is ineffective."

Ronald caught on,

"So facing this kind of thing that’s hard to stop from spreading, necessary changes are... well, necessary."

Alya gave a wry smile and shook her head,

"After all, no one wants a world where talking animal stones are common, cities in the forest hide dragons and witches, and just walking down the road could lead to being abducted by a fairy."

While feeling a sense of exasperation.

Alya handed the notebook, which recorded the experiences of spell modification, to Ronald, and then continued with a complex tone,

"So, at the very beginning of everything, the founder of my school took on the task of sealing away these possibilities."

"Today it’s my turn to encounter the problem, and I guess it’s just part of the responsibility."
