Four tis—

After the initial Ti Retrospection, Ronald had experienced Patricia’s ti reversal a total of four tis.

In less than half an hour, restlessness had begun to spread in his heart.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t control his emotions.

Under normal circumstances, such a short span of ti could easily pass by with his eyes closed, lost in contemplation.

But his companion was right before his eyes, her mory being reset continuously through the ti reversals.

Moreover, the ever-present threat of the Magic Book’s rampage weighed on his mind.

The pressure that this environnt exerted on a person grew at a terrifying rate.

Seeing Ronald outside the archive room, Patricia, with her keen mind, noticing the unusual pallor of her companion, connected it to everything that had happened before, and imdiately realized what was occurring.

"Ronald, are you alright?"

"If you’re worried about , there’s really no need..."

"It’s alright."

Patricia, caught in the ti loop, took the initiative to comfort herself, and Ronald, not wanting her to worry, imdiately responded:

"I can hold on."

"We’re not even half an hour in, compared to the ti we’ve spent testing for ti distortions before, this is nothing."

"..."

"Alright."

After a few seconds of silence, the girl nodded her head.

Patricia gave Ronald a complex look, her feelings just as intricate.

For her, trapped in the ti loop, everything she was experiencing felt like the first ti.

But it wasn’t so for Ronald.

The negative emotions wrought by multiple failed ti cycles were not to be underestimated.

Neither knew quite what to say.

The air fell into silence—

Negative emotions spread silently throughout the deserted office building.

Each breath seed more laborious than the last.

"Wait..."

Just as the situation seed to have reached a deadlock, Ronald, while suppressing his own impatience,

Suddenly ca upon a bold idea.

—Patricia could not break through the defenses to stop the rampage of the original.

—He couldn’t enter the room, and the sin of "Fury" made breaking in difficult.

—Nor could they swap positions.

But none of this ant that the power of the original couldn’t appear in the archive room!

He still had one thod left.

A dangerous thod.

He spoke with a hesitant tone:

"..."

"Patricia, I think I have an idea."

"It’s risky, though, and we’ll both need to take the chance."

"So..."

"Tell what I must do." Not waiting for Ronald to outline the dangers of the next move, Patricia straightforwardly said, "I trust the two of us more than leaving fate in the hands of those investigation bureau folks."

The girl’s eyes were filled with a determination without a single gap, as hard as forged steel.

"..."

"Okay."

Looking into her eyes, Ronald spoke:

"Next, you need to approach the Magic Book and do everything you can to elevate your own greed for it."

"If you succeed, I’ll use that emotion to stop the Magic Book’s rampage."

Without any hesitation, Patricia turned and headed towards the original behind her.

Her platinum silhouette left just one sentence—

"Make it quick."

————

Looking at the Magic Book in front of her, quiet yet in the midst of a power surge, Patricia’s mind was flooded with thoughts.

In the outside world, the Magic Book, capable of stirring up massive tempests, was right before her eyes; it was impossible not to be moved.

If she could offer this treasure up to Her Majesty the Queen.

Both she and her family would receive considerable rewards.

The constraints of her current environnt might just be breakable;

If she kept it to herself and privately sold it to a certain school,

the benefits that would be born from it were dazzling enough to make one’s eyes blur, using that capital to purchase technological investnts in colonial stocks would be a sure-fire, lifeti benefitting good deal;

If she kept it to secretly study.

With her own exceptional abilities, she could at least decipher a hint of power from the original text.

And this original text, it actually had the ability to interfere with ti and space!

Among the mbers of the mystical side, who wouldn’t know what that ant?

Want it!

Undoubtedly want it!

Want to own the Magic Book before her eyes!

"Um..."

Standing closest to the original text, Patricia suddenly felt a trace of peculiarity.

If she didn’t concentrate all her attention, it was completely impossible to notice the change.

The greed that she had actively stirred up seed to be leaking into so vague and ethereal place.

What was this?

Did Ronald make her stimulate greed just for this?

At this mont—

A drawn-out voice ca from behind Patricia.

She could hear it.

This was the purest language of magic!

"Here lies the entire universe’s cris.

O heavens!

Who is piling on these new hardships with such force,

and placing them before my eyes?

Why do our sins make us fall apart?

Like the giant waves in the whirlpool region of Calidis,

colliding with the oncoming surge,

they burst with a roar,

and lost souls dance frenetically in this high-speed whirl.

..."

Ronald actually had a mastery of a language of magic?

And to this extent?

What kind of magic was he casting with the incantation he was chanting now?

Patricia, facing the original text, could not see behind her.

But instinct told her that this was definitely a high-level spell, at least the strongest she had ever seen in Greenwich.

Only a few seconds after Patricia beca confused, a scene she couldn’t understand appeared before her eyes.

Originally ’imprisoned’ in the reference room, with only herself around.

But inexplicably, a stream of black mist erged before her chest, similar to the black mist that made up Ronald’s ’gloves’, yet sohow different.

Because she was so close to the original text, the black mist appeared and directly leapt onto the cover of the Magic Book.

In an instant—

Everything spun around her, and in her field of vision, there was no longer any image her brain could comprehend.

Then, everything settled down to dust.

An abrupt human voice appeared beside Patricia’s ear:

"Move along quickly!"

"Why not buy sothing before boarding?"

"Daddy, wait for ..."

She was standing at the entrance to the platform, having returned to that position before the twist in ti.

Passersby hurried by her with normal expressions, n and won discerning which platform they needed to board.

To Patricia, it seed as if everything before had just been a dream.

At that mont, the girl saw a snack vendor pushing a cart calling out his wares on the station platform.

Without tasting, she knew the bread would taste quite awful.

Standing still briefly, she quickly approached and threw him 2 De Pu.

"Eh...?"

"Miss, why are you giving money?"

Amid the vendor’s puzzled cries, Patricia smiled at him, then walked towards the benches of the train station platform.

There sat a man with very wide cuffs, looking quite tired.

"The bread just now, consider it my treat."

Standing in front of the benches at the train station platform.

The girl said so—
