Not to ntion Lady Tang and Cai Yan chatting leisurely in the rear, Chen Xi at the front line was truly in the battlefield this ti. Just yesterday during the day, through the keen eyes of Cheng Pu and others, they had already spotted the war eagle hovering in the sky.

However, because they were in a dense forest, Zhou Yu and Chen Xi were not worried about being discovered after learning this news.

"It seems I guessed right." Chen Xi said calmly, "Next, it’s up to you. The moon on the fifteenth will be big and round, no less than so overcast nights."

"Let’s set it on that day. However, it will be up to you then." Zhou Yu nodded, showing no objection. Making a move on that day seed justified to Zhou Yu.

"I’ve been preparing. Haven’t you noticed there’s been a lot more moisture in the air recently? On the night of the fifteenth, there will be fog, and when we make our move, I will disperse the fog directly." Chen Xi nodded and said, their dry food was also running low, but that was not important.

"As for the Military Spirit Legion you ntioned, I essentially have a way to deal with the opponent. As long as they can’t fly, there will be no problem." Zhou Yu said quietly while pressing his temples, "But let be clear, this ti I’m going all out."

"No problem, we can bear half of your losses." Chen Xi said very seriously. In fact, he was really curious how Zhou Yu would deal with the possibly existing Military Spirit Legion.

"Then leave it to . I hope your Xiliang Iron Cavalry is as you said, completely comparable to the Military Spirit Legion in all aspects except for lacking resistance to death and special talents." Zhou Yu said with utmost seriousness.

Chen Xi nodded, saying no more, believing in this firmly.

On the night of the fifteenth of the intercalary month according to the Lunar Calendar, with the fog rolling in, Zhou Yu and Chen Xi advanced slowly towards the place they had repeatedly scouted.

"What’s wrong?" Zhou Yu asked imdiately as he saw Chen Xi’s expression suddenly tense up.

"A bad situation has arisen." Chen Xi sighed, "The Northern Huns have started to disperse the fog. I can’t intervene too much, and in at most one incense stick’s ti, the fog will dissipate. It seems we have underestimated the opponent."

"Is there a contingency plan?" Zhou Yu asked, staring at Chen Xi.

"Besides the fog, there are also dark clouds, real rain clouds with thunder and lightning," Chen Xi said with a cold smile, "I don’t believe anyone but can push those things away."

"That’s good, so after the fog dissipates, it won’t actually have much impact?" Zhou Yu nodded, hoping nothing unexpected would happen.

"Boom!" At that mont, a thunderous roar sounded from the sky, and Chen Xi’s face turned serious, "The Hun people are even more cautious than I imagined."

"They seem completely unafraid of death, actually using spiritual capacity to guide rain clouds. But unfortunately, they were struck by lightning." Chen Xi watched the commotion nonchalantly.

To be honest, not even Chen Xi dared to forcibly guide potentially electrified rain clouds. He usually moved them cloud by cloud, dragging one rain cloud away with another, since dealing with lightning was nothing to try without Ma Chao’s luck.

Luckily, Chen Xi had enough spiritual capacity; an ordinary person definitely couldn’t handle such high difficulty.

On the other side, the priest at the core station of the Northern Huns Base looked gloomily at a colleague who had been charred by lightning, then silently continued to clear the fog, deciding to give up on the rain clouds since it wasn’t anything too important; the Han Army couldn’t possibly co here anyway.

"The fog has almost dissipated. Let’s go to the place we chose before. We’ll attack from the east when it’s ti!" Zhou Yu said to Chen Xi, watching the fog gradually dissipate.

Tens of thousands of troops, under Zhou Yu’s command, moved quietly towards the east. Even with specific instructions to avoid making noise, such a large-scale movent was still adequately propagated in this silent wilderness.

However, both Zhou Yu and Chen Xi kept a significant distance from the Northern Huns’ station, successfully avoiding this danger. By the ti the moon had ascended to the center of the sky, more than twenty thousand troops had successfully positioned themselves.

"General Cheng, the next part is up to you." Zhou Yu instructed Cheng Pu, though they had given instructions before setting out, this served as a final reminder.

"I will not disappoint General." Cheng Pu cupped his fists and said, then led three hundred elite archers clad in black cloth, bearing longswords, towards the Northern Huns Camp.

"General Hua, your first task is very simple. When General Cheng opens the camp gate, don’t mind anything else, just lead all the Hu Cavalry to charge in. No matter what happens, don’t look back. When you circle around from the outer periter and General Wen’s signal sounds, charge at the Central Army." Zhou Yu said to Hua Xiong.

"If the general isn’t seeking to kill the enemy but only to impact the Huns’ camp, this is very easy. But if we do this, our charge won’t inflict substantial damage on the Northern Huns." Hua Xiong asked.

"Substantial damage is unnecessary," Zhou Yu shook his head.

Chen Xi opened his mouth, preparing to say sothing, but rembering his promise to Zhou Yu, silently shook his head and turned to Hua Xiong, "Execute the order!"

Hua Xiong imdiately stopped talking, mounted his war horse, and assud a posture ready to charge at any mont, prompting Zhou Yu to look up to Chen Xi.

After all, being able to command such an exceptional Cavalry Chief Commander like Hua Xiong to this extent, Chen Xi’s claim of not understanding military strategy was just a ruse. The ability to command generals is superior to commanding soldiers, especially when the generals are very formidable; the power of commanding generals will be astonishingly potent.

"Zheng Fang!" Zhou Yu withdrew his gaze and shouted in a low voice.

"At your service!" Li Yan stepped to the front of Zhou Yu with big strides and bowed respectfully.

"Whether you can be ennobled this year depends on this battle!" Zhou Yu said solemnly to Li Yan, whose eyes brimd with pursuit and desire, revealing everything.

"Lead the Elite of Danyang to form a front line. Even if you die in battle, do not allow the line to retreat!" Zhou Yu said sternly to Li Yan.

"I shall guard the line with my life." Li Yan declared gravely, believing that to be ennobled, one must have substantial battle achievents.

"Zhongye!" Zhou Yu nodded at Li Yan, ordering him to mobilize the Elite of Danyang, then turned to call out.

"At your service!" Wen Pin saluted with cupped fists.

"You will lead the remaining archers to guard the last line of defense. All archers are only equipped with bows and longswords. I have already taught you how to shoot," Zhou Yu said calmly.

"I shall not fail General’s trust!" Wen Pin said very solemnly.

"Marquis Chen, you and I will do the sa task." Zhou Yu turned his head to Chen Xi, who nodded, knowing what he needed to do.
