"Alright, first things first—the low-post setup goes kinda like this..." Barkley said, fiddling with his tactic board.

He moved the magnets around like chess pieces. "So you've got the Wildcats spread out: two guys chilling in the corners, Lin Yi on the opposite block, and Steph on top of the arc. Classic spacing move to give your post player room to cook."

"Steph kicks things off by swinging the ball to the wing," Barkley continued, sliding the magnet. "That wing feeds it into Lin, and boom—after the pass, he clears out. Now Lin's got a one-on-one on the block."

"But I gotta say, man," Smith said, "I don't think Morgan State doubling was a bad idea."

"True," Barkley grinned. "Especially when you realize Wildcats' four, Anthony Beasley, can't shoot threes to save his life."

"Exactly!" Smith nodded.

"And that's when the real play starts," Barkley said, now fully in his groove. "So Lin's posting up, drawing that power forward. The Morgan State double slides baseline to trap him. That's your typical baseline double."

Barkley brought two magnets together to show the double-team, clearly enjoying himself.

Smith rolled his eyes. "Co on, man. Don't act like you're revealing state secrets."

"Hold up, this is where it gets spicy," Barkley smirked. "As soon as Morgan State commits to the double, the Wildcats are running a 4-on-3. Steph fakes like he's cutting baseline, then—bam!—Beasley, who can't shoot, sets a pick for Steph up top. He curls around, and Lin, being Lin, fires a perfect pass right as Steph cos off the screen. Wide open. Splash."

The fans in the studio cheered as if they were watching it unfold live.

"You wanna know why Steph keeps getting open?" Barkley asked, shaking his head. "It's not luck. It's because the Wildcats are always moving. You double Lin? Fine. The guy you left? He's setting a screen for Steph. No wasted movent."

"Even if you sub in fresh defenders, all you're doing is giving Steph different guys to cook," Barkley added. "As long as you double Lin, soone's getting torched."

"So the Wildcats are just... unbeatable?" Smith asked, adding to the drama.

"Not quite," Barkley replied, more serious now. "This system works because of three things. One, Steph's off-ball movent is elite. That dude never stops. Two, the Wildcats' screens? Tight and well-tid. They've been working on that all year. And three..."

He paused dramatically.

"Lin. Freakin'. Yi."

No matter how well you defend...

No matter how many screens they run...

If you trap Lin in the post, and he still makes that pass—clean, on ti, every ti—you're done. The kid's vision is ridiculous. Like, scary good.

Big hands, strong grip, perfect feel for where everyone is. That court vision? It's not just raw talent. It's years of experience playing guard when he was younger, chemistry with Steph, and freakish basketball IQ.

"Man, Lin is just different," Barkley muttered, shaking his head. "Morgan State never stood a chance."

Smith leaned back. "Alright then, smart guy. How do you stop the Wildcats?"

"Well," Barkley said, thinking it through, "first, you need an elite big man who can hang with Lin one-on-one. Like how the Morgan coach called a tiout and made Delson go one-on-one with Lin in the post, but it didn't work because Delson ain't elite. No help. Second, your periter defenders need to be dogs—able to fight through screens and chase Steph around all day."

"So like... a switch-everything defense?" Smith offered.

"In theory, yeah. But that's tough as hell," Barkley replied. "You'd need, like, four guys who are all 6'8", super quick, and can guard multiple positions."

Smith laughed. "Good luck finding that. What, you gonna clone LeBron four tis?"

"Exactly." Barkley chuckled. "That kind of defense? NBA-level. And we're still in college ball."

Up in the stands, Suns GM Steve Kerr watched with interest.

"Switch everything, huh..." he mumbled. "Might take a hit inside... but if we run in transition, how's their big gonna keep up?"

He scribbled down a few notes, ideas already churning.

.....

Back on the court, Morgan State eventually folded.

They tried. Hell, it was March Madness—nobody gets here without grinding. Every possession was a war. Every shot, every screen, every cut—they fought through it all.

But sotis hard work ets cold reality.

It's not that they didn't work hard.

It's just... the other team had better weapons.

Steph was on fire. Lin? A monster in the paint and a floor general in one. By the ti Moss had his layup sent into orbit by Lin for the nth ti, he started to have doubts.

NBA?

He didn't know whether he belonged in the conversation.

The was a guy used to being the man—star player, campus hero, lover boy, agents kissing up, coaches babying him 'cause of grades.

But tonight?

Reality hit hard.

Now?

Screw the NBA dream.

Maybe he was close.

But watching Steph and Lin tear his team apart... it made him realize how far he was.

The Wildcats dropped 89 points—huge for a March Madness ga. Morgan State got to 70, but only 'cause the Wildcats duos sat down with ti to spare.

Another day, another show.

Steph dropped 36 points, 6 boards, 9 assists, and 5 steals.

Lin? 30 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 blocks, 2 steals.

Between the two of them? Almost 70 points.

Last year, Steph was doing this solo.

Now?

With Lin by his side...

How far could they go?
