After a while, Yohan stepped out wearing an oversized grey shirt and blue shorts.

"But it’s our house! You can’t just co here and take it from us!"
"I wasn’t planning to kick anyone out," Yohan replied, his tone firm but weary. "I just wanted what I felt was fair. If he didn’t want my help, he could’ve said no. I wasn’t forcing him."
He paused, frustration leaking into his voice. "But instead, what did he do? If you’re looking for soone to bla, Cassie, bla the right person. What if I hadn’t made it in ti? What would’ve happened to my parents’ massage parlor then, huh?"
She flinched slightly, but he pressed on.
"Did you know he even tried to set on fire?"
Cassie’s eyes widened, her hand flying to her mouth.
"He didn’t tell you that part?" Yohan asked quietly. "Ask the police officers, they’ll confirm it. Cassie, your father wasn’t a good man. The sooner you realize that, the better for you."
He left her standing there and went to his room.
