Yohan was new to this level of violence, but he tried his best not to let it bother him. He couldn’t even pause to consider it for more than a few seconds.
They were n coming at him from all angles.
But it seed like their intensity was slowly starting to reduce; it was probably because of just how brutal Gunjoo was.
"Kid, I hope you’re ready to pay for putting in extra work," he wiped the bloody blade of his butcher knife on the clothes of one of his fallen opponents, while maintaining an indifferent expression.
Yohan felt like telling him to stop being so violent, and maybe tone it down a little, but he couldn’t even bring himself to speak casually with him after the brutality he had witnessed.
But he also couldn’t deny the result: the remaining gangsters were now hesitant to make a move.
Yohan and Gunjoo were starting to resemble an unbeatable duo.
Suddenly, one of the n lunged at Yohan with a knife. Yohan managed to move out of the way, but the attack continued to Gunjoo who was standing right behind him.
He was unable to react like Yohan, so he raised one arm to block and the blade went right through.
He grunted as the assailant pulled out the knife and took a few steps backwards, leaving a bloody hole in his left arm.
’He didn’t even make a sound...’ Yohan was surprised to see how Gunjoo reacted to such an injury.
He could tell just how painful that must have been, but instead of screaming like a normal person, the gangster tried his best not to show any sign of weakness.
That wasn’t the only thing that made him pause.
’That attack just now was so fast I almost didn’t see it.’
He turned to face the guy with a scarf tied around his face, covering his nose and mouth. Two other guys just like this stepped out; one had a face mask on while the other had so shades covering his eyes.
They were the three in black jackets that had erged with the boss earlier.
"These three are Roman’s top executioners, we’ll have to be careful," Gunjoo winced and held his arm; it seed like the pain from his injury was starting to get worse.
One glance and Yohan could tell he was in no condition to fight any of these three. It wasn’t only because he was injured, but because there was sothing different about them.
For them to be moving at such a speed that it was almost threatening to him ant that they definitely weren’t normal.
"Stay back and try to stop the bleeding. I’ll handle these three," Yohan said confidently.
Gunjoo let out a dark chuckle. "I don’t need you to protect , kid. I can handle myself. You think this is the first ti I’ve been wounded like this?"
"This is just a scratch..."
Before he could complete the statent, the guy with a nose mask on his face attacked him while his guard was still down.
Gunjoo couldn’t even react as the knife was heading directly for his throat, but Yohan moved in an instant, jumping in front of the attack and swinging his bat.
It was about to hit his face, but the guy suddenly stopped and back-stepped, successfully avoiding Yohan’s powerful strike.
The whole thing happened in an instant that Gunjoo was still seeing his life flashing before his eyes. He realized that if not for Yohan, he would have truly died at that mont.
"Don’t get involved," Yohan said sternly as his gaze shifted between the three opponents.
He was certain of it now: these three were sohow involved with mystical techniques like he was. It might not even be a technique, but there definitely was sothing.
’This is the first ti anyone was fast enough to dodge my strike.’
Even if he wasn’t using his full strength, dodging that swing mid-attack would have been almost impossible for a normal person.
Yohan was now curious about the three n.
They all charged at him at the sa ti, aiming their blades at critical points in his body.
CLANK!
Yohan used his bat to block the first strike, redirecting it to the side before dodging the follow-up attack from the other two.
’Even their strength is sothing else...’ he felt the weight of the strike in his arm.
They didn’t give him any breathing space, unleashing a series of coordinated attacks. He blocked and dodged every single one of them.
Since he ca back to the past, it was the first ti he had faced opponents like these.
Still, he knew his life was in no danger because he realized that these n lacked the stamina to keep up with their attacks.
They were already breathing heavily after that short exchange; it was only a matter of ti before they lost all their strength.
Now their attacks were way weaker than before, and even their speed was starting to reduce.
It was like the explosive strength was starting to fade away, making Yohan wonder if he was mistaken from the start.
After that, it was very easy taking them down. The remaining mbers of the gang scrambled out the door; seeing their executioners fall must have totally broken their morale.
At the end, they didn’t even seem that much different from the others he had taken down before. Still a quick check of their body told him that their muscle density didn’t match the power they were displaying, a clear sign that sothing mystical was involved.
After, he went straight to the backroom he had seen Roman disappear into earlier. Gunjoo followed closely behind him.
It was Roman’s office. He was seated with his legs crossed on the table, while Remi was seated on the tiled ground by the corner, arms and feet tied.
The mont they stepped into the office, Roman was too stunned to move. It was obvious from the look on his face, he hadn’t expected to see Yohan casually stroll in with all the n he had outside.
Yohan glanced at Remi huddled up by the corner with a cloth around her mouth and tears streaming down her face.
The anger in him began to rise. "Free her," he said to Gunjoo, before shifting his attention back to the man behind the table.
