Roman watched him for a long beat before he spoke.
"There’s a book," he said finally. "He keeps everything in it — every deal, every partner, every gang that works for him. It’s the ledger that lets him run things smoothly from the shadows."

Roman gritted his teeth as desperation crept into the corners of his mind.
"The password to the safe where the book is in... is his granddaughter’s birthday," he blurted.
Yohan stopped mid-step. "How do you know that?"
"He ntioned it once when he was drunk," Roman said. "That’s good enough, right?"
"Maybe." Yohan’s face didn’t change. "but I’ll have you verify it before we can carry on with our arrangent,"
"Then what’s going to happen to ?" Roman asked,
"You’ll just have to stay put until I co back," he continued to the door.

"Were you able to get what you wanted?" she asked.

"That’s right," he said with a smirk. "I’d love to tag along — if you’re actually going to let ."
"Why not? You might have to sign a few docunts as well. I’ll tell my driver to ready the car," Emily said, brushing past him as she left the office.

He was sitting in a polished room with millions now resting in his account, about to et the city’s mayor — none of this would have even crossed his imagination in his previous life.
A small, proud smile tugged at the corner of Yohan’s lips.
"Why does he always make wait whenever I co here?" Emily muttered, her tone edged with irritation.
"I don’t like it when people say that, Mrs. Michael," a deep voice replied from behind the door. "You should know — I’m simply a very busy man."
A mont later, a man with a square, solid build stepped into the room.
