After a while, Rebecca's sobs began to die down, but her tears kept streaming down her cheeks.
"Can you tell what happened?" Oliver asked when Rebecca cald down a bit.
She took a deep breath and invited them both inside.
Once inside the apartnt, Rebecca offered her guests drinks before sitting down beside Oliver.
As soon as they settled down in their seats, Oliver leaned forward and asked once more, "What exactly happened?"
Rebecca opened her mouth to answer but stopped midway.
"Hey, don't worry... Whatever is troubling you, I'll make sure to solve it for you. So just tell ." Oliver spoke in a soft tone, trying to reassure her.
This caused Rebecca to relax a bit and reveal what was bothering her.
"My father is very ill..." she revealed, her voice cracking halfway through as tears gathered in the corners of her eyes. "And my mother's job is not enough to sustain his treatnts... So I have no choice but to stop my studies and work to support them."
Oliver had expected that much. Considering her personality and dedication towards her studies, if sothing like this didn't happen, there was no way she would stop.
Emma sighed, having already known about this earlier.
"I tried to help her out as well. But she's just too stubborn about things. She refused my help and insisted she would take care of everything herself."
Rebecca shook her head in disagreent. "No, Ms. Dawson. I know that you want to help, but I cannot accept your kindness when it might put a strain on your inco... my dad's illness isn't sothing that can be cured with just a few treatnts."
She then lowered her head and clenched her fist as her eyes turned misty once again.
Oliver saw that she was about to cry again, and so he reached out and pulled her onto his lap.
Before Rebecca could say anything else, Oliver wrapped his arms around her and kissed her lips, surprising her and Emma at the sa ti.
At first, she tried to struggle free from Oliver's arms, but seeing that his embrace was quite firm, she stopped resisting and instead started lting in his embrace.
The kiss went on and on for so ti until Rebecca couldn't breathe anymore.
Once she was able to catch her breath, she stared into Oliver's eyes, looking quite flustered.
"You know, your problem isn't that serious..." Oliver began, caressing Rebecca's cheeks tenderly. "If I were to pay for your father's treatnt, wouldn't you be able to continue studying as before?"
When Oliver ntioned paying for the treatnt, Rebecca shook her head again.
"You don't understand..." she replied as tears once more began pouring down from her eyes.
But Oliver did not relent; instead, he continued his argunt.
"I know that so illnesses can cost a lot... but I am quite sure that with all the money I have, paying for your dad's treatnt wouldn't put a dent in my accounts," he explained further while wiping the tears from her face. "Besides, you can think of it as an investnt—I help you pay for it now, and you return the favor later when you beco a successful person..."
Rebecca stared at him intently for a mont, trying to process the situation.
It took her quite so ti to accept the fact that her dream was now back in her hands, all thanks to this handso young man in front of her.
Still, she wanted to make sure everything was real.
"Are you sure...?" Rebecca asked while sniffling. "You can't joke about this..."
"Yes." Oliver replied, still caressing Rebecca's cheeks with his fingers. "Trust . I can make things work out for you without a problem."
Seeing that smile on his face, Rebecca finally nodded, accepting his offer.
"Alright... I'll make sure that I'll return everything you do for tenfold. I promise..."
Rebecca replied before she gave Oliver another hug.
"Yes, yes. Now that everything is settled, why don't we celebrate our graduation?" Oliver proposed while patting Rebecca's back reassuringly.
Rebecca looked at him for a mont and then, without saying a word, got off his lap and went to the bedroom, probably to get changed.
"Well, that was easy..." Oliver said after Rebecca was gone.
Emma raised her eyebrows in disbelief when she heard what he said.
"Easy? It seems like you have a lot of money to spend around without feeling any financial problems," Emma comnted, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Maybe you can think about keeping as your mistress too... I'll make sure that every mont we spend together will be worth your investnt."
Oliver smirked at Emma's suggestion.
He knew how much this woman was willing to do all kinds of things with the principal for money, and since he had plenty, he might as well get himself a sexy teacher as a mistress.
"Sounds like a deal." Oliver answered with a smirk as he wrapped his arm around Emma's waist and pulled her closer to him.
But then, he leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "Though you might have to stop using your body to please the principal and other n. Otherwise, there will be no way you can accept my money and pleasure."
Emma's eyes narrowed, and she smirked. "You are getting more demanding... fine, I will keep my body reserved for you from now on."
With that said, she pressed her lips against Oliver and gave him a passionate kiss, which he returned with equal eagerness.
Their tongues entwined and played together as Emma slid her hand down his stomach, reaching for his mber.
However, before she could touch it, he broke their kiss and grabbed her wrist.
"Not yet. Save that for later..." Oliver grinned and winked at Emma as he pulled back and let go of her.
