Kurama, who had been ignored once again, burst into laughter. "Hahaha, that brat Hashirama got defeated, and by this guy Yoruha no less. I bet his expression was priceless." Kurama didn't like Madara, but he wasn't fond of the First Hokage either. Minato felt a bit awkward.
It was indeed a bit embarrassing to admit. The four Hokage were defeated by a youngster, and the opponent was only 17 years old. Yoruha waved his hand and said, "The four Hokage summoned by Orochimaru weren't as strong as they were in life. It was quite challenging for to defeat them."
Of course, Yoruha was just being polite to the four Hokage. At the ti, they posed no real threat to him. Yoruha only used ninjutsu against them and didn't even employ much of it. If Yoruha had used Wood Release to defeat Hashirama, Flying Thunder God Technique to defeat Tobirama Senju, Five Elents Ninjutsu to defeat the Third, and Rasengan to defeat Minato, that would have been truly awkward.
After all, the sa techniques, when used by Yoruha, were far more powerful. Minato knew Yoruha was giving them face. Minato was very pleased with Yoruha, strong yet humble, a rare quality at Yoruha's age.
"No wonder he has the favor of the Third and Lady Tsunade. Yoruha is indeed impressive." Kurama also knew Yoruha was giving Hashirama face and laughed, "You're just covering for them. Did you use Wood Release to beat Hashirama? Was he furious? Hahaha!"
At this point, Minato and Kushina noticed that both Kurama and Naruto had ntioned Yoruha could use Wood Release. Minato wasn't aware of this; when Yoruha fought them, he didn't use Wood Release at all. And wasn't Wood Release a kekkei genkai?
Could Yoruha be from the Senju clan? They both looked at Yoruha simultaneously. "Yoruha, can you use Wood Release?" Before Yoruha could respond, Naruto chid in, "What's so strange about that? Yoruha not only knows Wood Release but also Magnet Release, the kind from the Hidden Sand Village."
Both were stunned. They hadn't expected Yoruha to be so extraordinary. Kurama looked at their expressions and chuckled, "You older folks are a bit narrow-minded, aren't you?"
Naruto laughed, "Kurama, don't forget how badly you were beaten by Yoruha's Wood Release." Kurama's mouth twitched, "Naruto, do you still want my help in the future? If you do, you'd better keep your mouth shut."
Although Kurama had also been schooled by Yoruha's Wood Release, it just loved to mock how Hashirama was suppressed by it. Naruto pouted, "I bet you won't."
Kurama snorted in response.
anwhile, Minato and Kushina looked at Yoruha, wanting to hear him confirm it himself. Yoruha didn't mind others knowing; his mastery of Wood Release was already public knowledge among the higher-ups of Konoha, except for Danzo. Yoruha nodded, "I've indeed studied it and mastered it."
Minato was stunned. He knew that with Yoruha's personality, saying so ant he was highly proficient. He was well aware of how Yoruha had used Lightning Release to suppress Hashirama's Wood Release.
Wood Release. If Yoruha had used Wood Release to defeat Hashirama back then, Hashirama would probably have been so frustrated he'd shut himself off. Yoruha not using Wood Release was a sign of respect for Hashirama as a predecessor.
Kushina asked curiously, "But isn't Wood Release a Kekkei Genkai of the Senju clan? How did Yoruha master it?" Yoruha replied, "Kekkei Genkai can be synthesized as long as you have the corresponding chakra nature, though it does require a certain thod."
Yoruha's words left Naruto speechless. "A certain thod that stumps a lot of people, especially with sothing as difficult to synthesize as Wood Release." Naruto, more knowledgeable than in the original story, understood the level of a Kekkei Genkai like Wood Release. Orochimaru conducted nurous experints, and only Yamato successfully integrated Hashirama's cells to master it.
Currently, in the entire Konoha, only he and Yoruha can use Wood Release. The difference is that Yoruha synthesized it himself, while Yamato mastered it by integrating Hashirama's cells. Moreover, their Wood Releases don't seem to be on the sa level of Kekkei Genkai.
Even though both are Wood Release users, Yamato's Wood Release is completely different from Yoruha's. Kushina remarked, "I thought you were from the Senju clan." Yoruha just smiled.
Minato looked at Yoruha with increasing satisfaction. "No wonder the Third and Lady Tsunade both want you to beco Hokage." Naruto said helplessly, "My dream of becoming Hokage is being ruined by Yoruha." Naruto doesn't yet know that Tsunade has already decided to let Sasuke take over her position as Hokage.
Yoruha simply doesn't want the role, leaving Tsunade with no choice. However, Yoruha didn't ntion this, as it's not appropriate to tell Naruto now. If Naruto found out that Tsunade wants Sasuke to be the Sixth Hokage, he'd probably be furious.
He could accept not being able to compete with Yoruha, but being surpassed by Sasuke would be too much. He always thought of himself and Sasuke as equals. According to the original storyline, Naruto was indeed on the sa level as Sasuke, possibly even slightly stronger.
But Yoruha's appearance disrupted this path. Now, Sasuke's strength is at the peak of super Kage level. Once he activates the Rinnegan, he'll reach the Six Paths level, even without Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki's intervention, and beco even stronger than in the original story. Because once Sasuke activates the Rinnegan, he'll possess both Yin and Yang Release, not just the extre Yin Release alone.
If Sasuke can activate the Rinnegan, he would be able to defeat the Sasuke from the original story who also activated the Rinnegan. The current Naruto is also much stronger than he was at this point in the original story. However, his progress can't keep up with Sasuke's.
Naruto now possesses peak Kage-level strength, and if he fully transforms into a Tailed Beast, he could reach super Kage level, but he wouldn't be very strong within that tier, possibly on the weaker side. Minato understands why Yoruha hasn't told Naruto about Tsunade's decision to appoint Sasuke as the Sixth Hokage. Given Naruto's personality, if he knew, he'd certainly cause a lot of trouble.
Naruto can accept Yoruha surpassing him, regardless of how much, because he knows the gap between their strengths is like heaven and earth. But when he realizes Sasuke has surpassed him, he feels dejected, just like earlier.
If he finds out that Sasuke has been chosen as the Sixth Hokage, it would crush his dream of becoming Hokage. If even this dream is surpassed by Sasuke, it would be hard for him to accept. Because he knows Sasuke isn't much stronger than him.
He believes he can catch up and even surpass him with effort. It's a completely different situation from Yoruha.
