Yoruha didn't want to exchange many words with Naruto. He led him over to Tsunade, who, unlike in the original story, hadn't transford into an old woman due to excessive chakra depletion. After Yoruha healed her, she had been eating voraciously.
Although she hadn't exhausted all her chakra in the previous battle, she had used up a significant amount. If it weren't for Sakura helping to share the burden, she might have ended up like in the original, depleting all her chakra while healing the villagers.
As Yoruha and Naruto entered, they saw Tsunade holding a large bowl, eating with both cheeks puffed out. Yoruha's mouth twitched slightly.
He didn't say anything, knowing Tsunade was replenishing her chakra. Naruto wanted to laugh but refrained when he saw Tsunade's gaze. Normally, he would joke around, but now he didn't dare provoke Tsunade.
He sat quietly on the side, unusually silent. Yoruha approached Tsunade. She glared at him without speaking, continuing to eat with large mouthfuls.
This made Yoruha feel uneasy. During Pain's attack on the village, he had indeed been negligent. As a Hokage's guard, he was supposed to stay by the Hokage's side, yet he had been wandering outside for several months.
This was a serious dereliction of duty for any Kage's guard. It was remarkable that Tsunade remained so calm. The entire tent was silent, save for the sound of Tsunade eating, while Naruto, Sakura, and Shizune looked at Yoruha sympathetically.
They were all waiting for Tsunade to explode. Yoruha felt a bit helpless, as he really had no excuse for this situation. Fortunately, he had managed to persuade Nagato to revive everyone in the Leaf Village.
Otherwise, Tsunade would likely have scolded him. Although Yoruha's current power was godlike, he didn't possess the temperant of a deity. He still considered himself an ordinary person, and as a Hokage's guard, he had indeed been seriously negligent.
Of course, Yoruha chose to be this way. After all, if he wielded his power recklessly, he wouldn't even like himself. Embracing the role of an ordinary person was more suitable and preferable for Yoruha. He preferred being human rather than a deity devoid of emotions.
His life goal was to be vibrant and colorful, not just a single shade. This was Yoruha's choice. After a long while, another person entered the tent.
"Yoruha, why are you sitting here?" Upon hearing this voice, Yoruha's lips curled slightly. Sitting behind Yoruha, Sakura thought to herself that this was not good.
She signaled Sasuke, who had just entered, to sit beside her. Naruto glanced at Sasuke and sighed, "Sasuke is in for it." Sure enough, as soon as Sasuke finished speaking, he t Tsunade's gaze.
It was the sa look she had given Yoruha earlier. Originally intending to say sothing to Yoruha, Sasuke imdiately understood. He lowered his head and obediently sat next to Yoruha, ready to face Tsunade's wrath.
Soon, the tent was filled only with the sound of Tsunade eating. Everyone was waiting for her to get angry. Even the two Hokage advisors sitting nearby dared not speak.
They usually loved to nitpick with Tsunade.
They didn't dare to speak anymore. When Tsunade was almost taken down by Pain, it was these two Hokage advisors who were the most anxious. Besides the fact that Tsunade was their junior, she was also the Hokage, and even if they disagreed with her politically, their primary concern was the safety of the Hokage.
Fortunately, Yoruha and Sasuke returned and resolved the crisis, sparing Tsunade from death. With the Hokage still alive and everyone in the village resurrected, the destruction of Konoha was no longer a major issue—reconstruction was all that was needed. A few more people entered the room.
Kakashi, Guy, Asuma Sarutobi, and Kurenai Yuhi. Seeing Yoruha and Sasuke sitting with their heads down in front of Tsunade, with no one daring to speak around them, the four quietly took seats on the side.
Seeing everyone had arrived, Tsunade finally put down the large bowl in her hand, the sound of it hitting the table causing everyone to flinch internally. "Here we go!"
Sakura and Naruto thought to themselves. Tsunade wiped her mouth and looked seriously at Yoruha and Sasuke. Despite just having defeated Pain, which should have been a joyous occasion, the atmosphere here was cold, like a courtroom ready to judge Yoruha and Sasuke.
Of course, if you think about it, you'll realize that everyone here is an important mber of the Hokage's circle. After all, no matter what mistakes Yoruha and Sasuke made, it would be handled internally. They would never allow outsiders to know how they dealt with Yoruha and Sasuke, as these two were the strongest of the Hokage's line and the future successors.
Tsunade stood up. Yoruha and Sasuke also raised their heads. Sasuke felt a bit uneasy.
Because of Sakura, Sasuke had maintained a good relationship with Tsunade over the past three years. There was no tension between them despite the historical animosity between the Uchiha and Senju clans. Tsunade genuinely treated Sasuke like her own disciple, and Sasuke could feel it. It was precisely because of this that Sasuke felt guilty and sorry towards Tsunade.
Yoruha felt awkward. Even as they lifted their heads, they couldn't et Tsunade's eyes. Tsunade looked at the two strongest in Konoha, who now appeared like students caught in wrongdoing, unable to et her gaze.
She spoke coldly, "Oh, our two great generals of Konoha have returned. Thanks to you, Konoha is finally safe." Her sarcastic tone made Yoruha feel awkward, and Sasuke lowered his head in sha once more. Of course, it was because of their good relationship with Tsunade and their respect for her that they felt this way.
If it were soone else, neither Yoruha nor Sasuke would pay them any mind, let alone tolerate sarcasm. But this was Tsunade, soone both Yoruha and Sasuke regarded as an important elder. Sasuke, in particular, felt the care of an elder from Tsunade.
He could sense that Tsunade genuinely cared for him as if he were her direct disciple. That's why he felt guilty towards her. The excuses he had prepared earlier now felt impossible to voice in front of Tsunade.
Seeing the two remain silent, Tsunade took a deep breath and asked, "Yoruha, what's going on? Why did it take you so long to return after completing the mission? Give a reason."
Knowing they had already admitted their mistake, Tsunade didn't want to put more pressure on them and simply asked why they hadn't returned to Konoha. Yoruha breathed a sigh of relief, understanding that Tsunade's question ant she was no longer angry. Sasuke felt the sa and also relaxed.
Yoruha replied, "Lady Hokage, I had a sudden realization, so I stayed outside to consolidate my strength before returning." Tsunade was a bit surprised, "Oh? Your strength has increased again?"
