"Skipping stones is really easy. You just find a nice, flat stone, bend down, and throw it hard at the water!" Hiroshi explained, bending down to search for a stone. He demonstrated the technique.
Harumiko didn’t quite understand. She didn’t know stones could skip across the water, although she knew ninjas could walk on water using chakra. She didn’t grasp the concept.
"Skipping stones? This is the first ti I’ve heard of that! It sounds strange. But a stone floating...that seems impossible," Harumiko whispered, watching Hiroshi search for a stone. She expressed her skepticism.
Hiroshi quickly found a good stone and brought it over to Harumiko. He found a suitable stone.
"See, Harumiko, this kind of stone," Hiroshi said with a smile, showing her the stone. He showed her the stone.
Harumiko nodded, a puzzled expression on her face as she looked at the stone. She looked at the stone curiously.
"This stone...it can float on the water? That doesn’t seem realistic. Even though it’s flat, I still don’t believe it!" Harumiko said, smiling. She remained unconvinced.
Hiroshi laughed, went to the river’s edge, and said, "Harumiko, co closer. I’ll show you skipping stones." He demonstrated the action.
Harumiko quickly joined him, intently watching the stone in his hand. She watched intently.
"Okay, if you’re so sure, let see this ’skipping stones’ thing!" Harumiko said with a smile. She challenged him to prove it.
Hiroshi nodded, held the stone, bent down, and threw it with force.
"Piu, piu, piu"
The stone skipped four tis across the water’s surface. The stone skipped across the water.
"That’s skipping stones! My stone skipped four tis," Hiroshi said, smiling at Harumiko. He explained the result.
Harumiko’s expression was one of complete surprise. She hadn’t expected a stone to skip across the water like that. It was a new experience for her. She was quite surprised.
"Wow! I’ve never seen that before! It’s amazing!" Harumiko exclaid, recovering from her surprise. She was impressed.
"See? I wasn’t kidding! It’s hard to get three skips without practicing for a few days," Hiroshi said confidently. He emphasized the difficulty.
Harumiko, smiling, began searching for stones to skip herself. She started looking for stones to skip.
Hiroshi watched her, thinking, "Wow, she’s really into this. I thought she wouldn’t be interested." He was surprised by her enthusiasm.
