Looking at the panicked crowd below, Abura Shisui felt certain in his heart, yet he still turned to the Seven-Tails resting nearby and asked, "Choi, can your scale powder blind the Byakugan and the Sharingan?"

The Seven-Tails flapped its wings and replied, "Of course it can. My scale powder doesn't just target the eyes; it targets chakra perception. No matter if it's the Byakugan or the Sharingan, anyone touched by my powder becos completely blind."

Abura Shisui nodded and looked back at the panicked ninjas.

"Did you all hear that?"

"The reinforcents Konoha sent are from the two clans famous for their eyes," Abura Shisui said calmly. "But our trump card is the scale powder that renders all eyes useless."

"Furthermore, Takigakure has agreed to lend us 100 elite ninjas for support. We only need to wait patiently and let them enter our trap."

At that mont, another elder spoke up: "Our Grass Village has countered the Hyuga's Gentle Fist before. As long as we can blind them, their Gentle Fist is useless against us."

"Exactly! Let them see the power of the Grass Village!"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

A few days later, all the ninjas of the Grass Village were assembled—513 people in total, divided into two groups.

The first group of 400 n was led by Negishi Kusanagi. They were well-equipped and high in spirits, heading to the border to build defenses and intercept Konoha's vanguard.

The second group consisted of 113 people, including 100 Dragonfly Users and 13 reserves, commanded personally by Abura Shisui. They would serve as the reserve force to be deployed at the critical mont.

Standing on a high platform, Negishi Kusanagi looked down at the dark mass of people: "Do you have the confidence to defeat the enemy?"

The crowd shouted in unison, "Yes!"

"Louder! Do you have confidence!?"

"Yes! Yes! Yes!"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Negishi Kusanagi raised his hand: "Move out!"

The 400 ninjas marched in formation toward the border.

Abura Shisui stayed behind, watching their departing backs. Beside him, the massive body of the Seven-Tails lay on the ground, its six wings fluttering gently.

"Aren't you going?" she asked.

"No rush," Abura Shisui said calmly. "Let them fight first to wear down Konoha's spirit."

He turned to the Seven-Tails.

"When the ti cos, I'm counting on you."

The Seven-Tails replied, "Don't worry! Leave it to ! By the way, after the war, can you give a little more of that energy? Just a little bit?"

Abura Shisui: "..."

"We'll talk after the battle."

On the other side, at the border of the Land of Grass, along a fifty-mile battle line.

Uchiha Fugaku stood on a high slope, his crimson Sharingan spinning slowly as he scanned the valley covered in thick forest.

Behind him, nearly a thousand Konoha ninjas were stationed in an orderly camp. The camp spread out in a fan shape, occupying three miles of strategic ground.

Hyuga Tennin walked up slowly, the veins near his temples bulging as his Byakugan remained active.

Standing beside Fugaku, his vision pierced through layers of trees, taking in the terrain within ten kiloters.

"The layout is crude," Hyuga Tennin said quietly. "The traps are spaced unevenly and the technique is amateur. They were likely set up in a hurry."

Uchiha Fugaku nodded. His three-tomoe Sharingan caught faint traces of chakra in the distance. "But their numbers are high. In the skirmish three days ago, we killed over ninety people, and fewer than ten escaped back heavily wounded. The Grass Village's total fighting force should be much more than this."

"You think it's an ambush?" Hyuga Tennin glanced at him.

"I don't," Uchiha Fugaku said plainly. "I just think... it's going too smoothly."

It was indeed too smooth.

As the Konoha army advanced, they t almost no real resistance. The traps set by the Grass ninjas—tripwires, simple explosive tags, and poison needle traps—were useless against the Sharingan and Byakugan.

Often, the traps were dismantled by Konoha's sensory or scout teams before they could even be triggered.

The battles were completely one-sided.

In the skirmish three days ago, Konoha sent only three squads of thirty n and wiped out nearly a hundred Grass vanguard ninjas. Konoha's casualties were minor; only thirty were wounded, and seventeen of those died from their injuries, mostly due to an enemy Jonin's intervention.

For a thousand-man battle, these losses were negligible.

Right now, a sense of laziness drifted through the Konoha camp.

Several Chunin sat around a campfire, chatting while sharpening their kunai.

"I thought this would be hard, but this is it?"

"I heard the Grass Village doesn't even have real masters. Their strongest people are just average Jonin level."

"This is like bullying."

Elsewhere, three Jonin were checking spoils of war. The ninja tools taken from the Grass corpses were of poor quality—mostly common iron, with the occasional low-grade chakra tal kunai.

"With gear like this, they dare to challenge Konoha?" a scarred Jonin mocked. "Fighting the Grass Village isn't like fighting a Great Nation; it's easy work. These ninjas aren't even enough for us to kill."

"Hey, don't say that. Those 100 people from before were actually quite strong."

"Strong? Ha! Usually, those would have been all the elites they have."

Their voices were just loud enough to reach the ears of Uchiha Fugaku and Hyuga Tennin nearby.

Both n turned around at once.

Uchiha Fugaku's Sharingan shifted, becoming cold: "Jonin Tanaka."

The scarred Jonin froze and quickly stood up: "Lord Fugaku."

"Repeat what you just said."

Tanaka swallowed hard, not daring to speak.

Hyuga Tennin took a step forward, his Byakugan staring at the man. His voice was low but carried absolute authority: "Whether the opponent is from the Five Great Nations or a small village, as long as they are the enemy, you must treat them with total seriousness. Carelessness is a ninja's greatest stupidity."

Uchiha Fugaku took over, his voice echoing through the camp: "Did any of you look closely at the Grass ninja corpses from three days ago?"

The camp fell silent.

"Their equipnt was simple, but their physical condition was wrong," Fugaku continued. "Their muscle density far exceeded normal Grass ninjas, and their chakra levels were unusually high. I checked the palms of several bodies—the calluses from throwing kunai were fresh. This ans they underwent high-intensity training very recently."

Hyuga Tennin added with a nod: "Also, the ones who escaped moved at extre speeds despite their injuries. That isn't the kind of stamina a normal Grass ninja possesses."

The two looked at each other, both seeing the sa concern in the other's eyes.
