"These fish-n don't seem to welco us."
Robin looked at the fish-n walking past, all with hostile gazes.
"Is there anything wrong with that? Fish-n don't welco humans in the first place. They're very hostile to them."
Shin didn't think there was anything wrong. Most fish-n were very hostile to humans. So even felt that they were a more noble race.
In so aspects, fish-n were indeed stronger than humans. For example, being able to live in water—and their strength was almost a hundred tis that of humans.
"I think there are other reasons—you previously put a bounty on Vander Decken IX, so you are hated by the fish-n."
Olvia said.
Vander Decken IX was also a fish-man. Shin directly putting a bounty on his life would naturally cause a backlash from so fish-n.
"Let's go to Ryugu Palace." Shin had no ti to deal with these fish-n. Their hostility ant nothing to him.
————
Shin and his group headed to Ryugu Palace. As the king, Neptune naturally heard the news and imdiately ca out to greet them.
"I didn't know Captain Shin was coming. I apologize for the poor reception," Neptune said nervously. He was terrified of offending Shin—he didn't dare risk it. The man was one of the Four Emperors of the Sea.
After Big Mom's death, the Five Emperors had beco four again. No one had managed to claim her position, and Shin had absorbed most of her territory.
Neptune was a rman, but honestly, while female rmaids were stunning, the males were pretty hideous. Shin had no interest in wasting ti with Neptune—his target was Shirahoshi, so he cut straight to the point.
"Neptune, I'd like to et Shirahoshi," Shin said, looking directly at him.
The mont Shin ntioned Shirahoshi, Neptune's eyes widened and his expression turned wary. 'What does he want with my daughter?'
"What, you don't agree?"
Although Shin's face was still calm, it still startled Neptune. He was afraid Shin would really get angry.
"No, of course Captain Shin can see Shirahoshi," Neptune said with a bitter smile.
Refusal was out of the question. While Whitebeard's protection covered Fish-Man Island as a whole, it wouldn't shield Neptune personally from the wrath of a fellow Emperor.
"Shirahoshi's personality is a bit timid. I hope Captain Shin won't mind."
Neptune personally led the way for Shin to Shirahoshi's palace. Only Hancock followed Shin.
Olvia and the others didn't.
"May I ask why Captain Shin wants to see Shirahoshi?"
Neptune asked after a mont's hesitation. He needed to know what Shin wanted with his daughter—he was worried about her.
"Don't worry, I know what you're thinking. I have no intention of harming her," Shin said, glancing at Neptune.
Hearing this, Neptune visibly relaxed.
As long as she wouldn't be hurt, that was what mattered. He trusted Shin's words—after all, there was no point in lying to him. He wasn't even important enough to bother deceiving.
————
Soon, they reached Shirahoshi's massive palace. The structure was built on an enormous scale—it had to be to accommodate her size.
Of course, this Hard-Shell Tower also served as her sanctuary. She'd been stalked and threatened by Vander Decken IX for years.
"Shirahoshi is in here."
Neptune had the palace guards open the huge door, and then they saw a sowhat dreamy room inside.
Shirahoshi, who was sleeping on a huge bed made of a scallop, opened her eyes, rubbed them slightly, and then looked at Neptune with surprise and joy.
"Father, you ca to see ."
Shirahoshi said with great surprise. But when she saw Shin and Hancock, Shirahoshi was a little scared.
In the original story, Luffy had called her a coward and a crybaby. And honestly, she did cry constantly, so the nickna fit. But eventually, Shirahoshi grew out of that timid personality.
Seeing his beloved daughter, Neptune smiled. In the future, Shirahoshi would no longer have to be trapped in the Hard-Shell Tower. He had already received news that Vander Decken IX was dead, killed because of Shin Uzumaki's bounty.
From that perspective, Neptune should be thanking Shin, but he still hoped Shin had no ulterior motives regarding Shirahoshi.
As both her father and Otohi's husband, Neptune knew more than most—including the truth about the rmaid princess.
While all rmaids and fish-n could communicate with sea life, only Shirahoshi and the legendary rmaid princess from the Void Century possessed the power to command Sea Kings.
Don't let Shirahoshi's gentle nature fool you—she was the sovereign of the Sea Kings. Anyone who threatened her would face the wrath of countless ancient beasts.
The truth was, the most powerful creatures in this world were the Sea Kings lurking in the ocean depths. Nobody knew exactly how many existed down there.
These colossal monsters could reshape coastlines with a single movent. If they all went berserk simultaneously, they could literally end the world.
In other words, Shirahoshi wielded world-ending power.
————
"Shirahoshi, this is Captain Shin, our friend."
Neptune directly classified Shin as a friend, also to get closer to him. Although he had Whitebeard's protection, if he could have one more person, Fish-Man Island would be even safer.
"A friend?"
Shirahoshi's wide, curious eyes focused on Shin. She didn't sense any hostility from him. This was one of Shirahoshi's special gifts—she could feel malicious intent from others.
"Neptune, are you sure she's your daughter?" Hancock couldn't help but ask.
She looked nothing like her father. She was absolutely stunning, a complete contrast to Neptune's rough appearance.
Shirahoshi clearly inherited Queen Otohi's beauty rather than his looks.
But when it ca to size, she'd definitely gotten Neptune's genes. Even though she was still young, she was already as tall as Whitebeard.
Neptune smiled awkwardly, then looked at Shin. He really wanted to know what his purpose was in finding Shirahoshi.
'Could it be that he knows sothing?' If that was the case, this was bad news.
Neptune just prayed nothing would happen to her. If Shin Uzumaki had any ill intentions toward his daughter, Neptune would fight to the death to protect her.
