"And another thing—you’ve been bad-mouthing to Soi Fon. I should be the one settling scores with you, yet you have the nerve to co here and chew out? You’ve got so guts, I’ll give you that."
Shin said, cracking his knuckles as he looked at Yoruichi, making her smile sheepishly.
"When did I ever bad-mouth you to Soi Fon? Don’t make things up. I’m not that kind of person."
"Is that so? Then explain to why Soi Fon thinks I’m a bad person. And she told earlier that you were the one who said I was, right?"
Shin grabbed Yoruichi to prevent her from escaping. Caught by Shin, Yoruichi couldn’t get away and could only smile sheepishly.
"Alright, I admit it was my fault. Can you let go now?"
There was no way out; Yoruichi could only admit her mistake. Shin then tapped her on the head.
"Don’t act like I forced you to admit it. It was your fault to begin with." Shin then handed all the 2nd Division’s affairs over to Yoruichi.
———————————
A few years passed in the blink of an eye. Soi Fon, having stayed in the 2nd Division, had beco completely familiar with Shin and was no longer wary of him.
Mainly because Shin would give her pointers whenever he had free ti, so Soi Fon’s impression of Shin was now quite good.
"Look at how hard Soi Fon works. When are you ever going to put in so effort? I’m really worried about you." Shin glanced at Yoruichi as he was teaching Soi Fon.
"You’re one to talk. Are you that diligent? You even have do your work for you. What do you think would happen if I reported you?"
"What, you want to report and seize power? If that’s what you want, you don’t have to go through all that trouble. I can just give you the captain’s position."
Shin said that being a captain or not didn’t matter to him. He had been a captain for so many years that he was getting a bit tired of it.
"I’m not that stupid. You’re already so irresponsible as a captain. If you weren’t, I suspect you wouldn’t handle anything at all."
Yoruichi had no interest in the captain’s position either. In fact, though she was a vice-captain now, she had the authority of a captain. Shin didn’t handle any matters, leaving everything to Yoruichi, so her authority was naturally great.
Shin had no comnt on this and wished he could hand everything over to Yoruichi.
"I heard a prodigy nad Gin Ichimaru has appeared recently."
Yoruichi said to Shin. Hearing this na, Shin raised an eyebrow. Aizen didn’t kill Gin Ichimaru?
He wondered if Aizen would still make a move now. And did Rangiku Matsumoto die? Since Gin was still alive, Rangiku should be alive too.
"Oh, you’re paying attention to him? Thinking of recruiting him into the 2nd Division?"
Shin asked Yoruichi. Gin Ichimaru was indeed a prodigy. Among all the captains, Gin’s strength should be considered quite good.
His Zanpakutō, Shinsō, was really powerful. Shin planned to go see Gin soti and copy it. But the current Gin probably hadn’t even achieved Shikai yet, so he wasn’t in a hurry. He’d wait until Gin achieved Shikai and beca a captain.
"It’s too late to recruit him into the 2nd Division. He’s already in the 3rd Division and just beca the 3rd seat right after joining."
Not many people beca a 3rd seat right after joining their division. Shin had been one of them.
"Oh, so he still ended up in the 3rd Division."
Shin smiled, then waited for Gin to beco the captain of the 3rd Division. As for the current captain of the 3rd Division, it was Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi, but it wouldn’t be long. After Aizen’s sche, quite a few captains and vice-captains would undergo Hollowfication.
A large number of positions would open up, and Aizen would beco the captain of the 5th Division after that.
———————————
"Captain Shin, I want to spar with you," Soi Fon said, running over to Shin.
Shin, who was chatting with Yoruichi, was slightly stunned by her words. Soi Fon wanted to spar with him?
"Are you sure you want to spar with ?"
"Yes." Soi Fon nodded, holding her rather small Zanpakutō. Her Zanpakutō had already achieved Shikai.
Soi Fon’s Zanpakutō was nad Suzubachi, and its ability was Nigeki Kessatsu—Two-Step Kill. The first strike created a black butterfly pattern, the Hōmonka, on the target. If the center of that pattern was struck again, the Hōmonka would form an overlapping, eight-sided shape, and the enemy would die.
Two-Step Kill sounded incredibly broken, but in reality, it wasn’t that powerful. It had no effect on opponents with much higher spiritual pressure than her own.
"Alright. Since you want to spar, I’ll indulge you. I just hope you don’t get discouraged."
Shin patted Soi Fon’s little head. Soi Fon lowered her head, her face turning slightly red, then looked at Shin seriously.
Soi Fon also knew she was definitely no match for Shin. The reason she wanted to spar with him was to test her own progress.
"Sting All Enemies To Death, Suzubachi!"
Soi Fon directly released her Shikai, which transford into a small blade attached to her finger, perfect for assassination. This was why Soi Fon was a perfect fit for the 2nd Division and the Stealth Force.
However, her Bankai was a bit huge. Though its power was great and could cause a one-hit kill, it also had major flaws. It was heavy and couldn’t be hidden. And the so-called one-hit kill was just a na. But its power was indeed impressive; at least an average Hollow or captain would be powerless against it.
"I’m coming."
Soi Fon said, then quickly used Shunpo, instantly appearing behind Shin, her Suzubachi stabbing towards him.
Just as she was about to make contact with Shin, a hand suddenly clamped down on her wrist, and then she was thrown out.
Soi Fon sorsaulted a few tis in the air, then landed on the ground. Though she had absorbed so of the force, the fall still hurt.
But Soi Fon’s expression didn’t change at all. A small injury was inevitable, and this wasn’t a major one.
She charged towards Shin again, but every ti she was about to attack him, she would be thrown out.
After more than a dozen tis, Soi Fon was a little discouraged. If he had really been trying to kill her, she would have probably died more than a dozen tis already.
"Challenging is pointless."
Shin said to Soi Fon. Fighting him, sparring with him, was really pointless. The final result would be that she couldn’t test anything, because even if Soi Fon’s strength was ten tis greater, she would still be easily thrown out by Shin.
"If you really want to test your progress, co with to Hueco Mundo. You can practice on so of the Hollows there."
Shin said to Soi Fon.
"Alright. But going to Hueco Mundo... isn’t that against the rules? There’s a rule against going to Hueco Mundo rashly," Soi Fon agreed, then suddenly rembered the rule and beca a bit hesitant.
"It’s not breaking the rules if you don’t get caught, right? Why think so much? But if you don’t want to go, I won’t force you," Shin said with a smile.
