Yagami crossed his arms, staring down the group of Uchihas with open challenge.
"Why won't you agree? Or are seven of you still not enough?"
The arrogance in his tone made several of them bristle. Their faces flushed red—when had the proud Uchiha clan ever been dismissed so bluntly?
"Fine!" Eikō snapped, jaw tight with anger. "If you're so desperate to die, then don't bla us when you get what you asked for!"
He had been crushed by Yagami once already. He knew how strong Yagami was…but seven against one? Even he couldn't imagine losing like that.
"Eikō…?" Uchiha Yuuto frowned, clearly uneasy. "You're actually agreeing to this?"
The other clan mbers exchanged looks. Seven-on-one was disgraceful no matter how you frad it. If they won, they'd be mocked.
If they lost…they would never hear the end of it.
Eikō dragged Yuuto aside and whispered sharply, "Listen. He's strong, but he's not beating seven of us at once. As long as we stick together, it's impossible."
Yuuto still looked troubled.
"Our task was just to confirm whether he spread the rumor… This wasn't supposed to escalate."
Eikō glared at him.
"You can tolerate him talking like that? When have the Uchiha ever been looked down on this much?"
Yuuto hesitated—but then Yagami spoke again, voice dripping with contempt:
"If you're backing out, hurry up and leave. Seeing Uchiha tail-between-their-legs might be the funniest thing I've seen all day."
"You—!"
Yuuto clenched his teeth. That was the final spark.
"Fine!" he snapped. "You want all seven of us? Then don't bla us for ganging up on you!"
Yagami exhaled quietly—relieved.
Two thousand prestige points on the line… I'm not letting this slip.
As the Uchihas finally committed, the surrounding villagers murmured among themselves.
So were disgusted the Uchihas accepted such a one-sided setup. Others whispered that Yagami was insane to provoke them at all.
Either way, the entire street buzzed with tension.
"Good," Yagami said calmly. "Since we're doing this, let's move to an open area. I'd rather not replace my front door."
He barely finished speaking when an authoritative voice cut cleanly through the noise:
"What do you all think you're doing!?"
The crowd parted. Sarutobi Hiruzen strode forward in full Hokage robes, expression dark.
The murmurs shifted instantly:
"Lord Third… so much for seeing a fight."
"If he arrived a little later, we'd have watched sothing crazy."
"Seven against one isn't a fight—it's a beatdown."
"But you were still waiting for it."
Hiruzen ignored the whispers and stepped between the two sides, gaze sharp.
"You are all shinobi of the sa village," he said coldly. "Are you truly preparing to draw blades on each other!?"
Instant silence fell.
Eikō and his group stiffened imdiately, anger replaced by dread. Yagami's heart sank.
Perfect… just when I finally got them angry enough to fight…
"Uchiha Eikō!"
Hiruzen's voice snapped through the air like a whip.
Eikō flinched. Sweat gathered at his brow.
"What ti is it right now!?"
Eikō opened his mouth but no sound ca out.
"You abandoned your post during official duty hours!" Hiruzen's tone grew heavier. "If an enemy infiltrated the village while you were here picking fights, could you shoulder that responsibility!?"
Eikō swallowed hard. The other Uchihas shifted nervously, unable to et their Hokage's eyes.
