Yagami tore through the battlefield with unmatched speed, turning the front line into a killing ground.
Ebizō ground his teeth, fury and anxiety twisting together.
No matter how he thought about it, there was no effective solution.
Ordinary ninjutsu simply couldn't touch soone moving at that speed.
After a long pause, only one grim option remained.
Wear him down.
Force him to exhaust himself by escalating the siege.
With that conclusion, Ebizō issued a ruthless order.
"Attack the castle with full force!!"
The command was relayed to Pakura.
Standing at the center of the Sand forces, she gave a soft hum of understanding.
Watching Yagami race across the battlefield to provide support, she grasped Ebizō's intent imdiately.
"Charge! All units—attack the castle with everything you have!!"
At her order, Sand shinobi who had been attempting to encircle Yagami abruptly changed course, rushing straight toward Kikyō Castle.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Kunai, shuriken, and explosive tags rained down from the walls as if ammunition were limitless.
The base of the wall was swallowed by fire and smoke.
"Wind Style — Wind Cutter!"

Sand shinobi in the rear unleashed relentless ninjutsu bombardnts, suppressing the Konoha defenders and forcing them into cover.
Taking advantage of the gaps, the Sand forces below surged toward the walls.
Close-quarters combat erupted atop the battlents.

From behind Uzumaki Kushina, brilliant chakra chains shot forward.
Several Sand shinobi who had just reached the wall were pierced clean through and flung back down.
But even more enemies followed, climbing relentlessly.

Seeing the pressure mounting atop the walls, Yagami abandoned any thought of conserving stamina.
He swung with full force.
A crescent-shaped slash over ten ters long tore forward, skimming low along the wall.
"Watch out!!"
"Move—now!!"
Sand shinobi scread warnings to one another.
BOOM—!!!
Like an autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves...
Thirty or forty shinobi were swallowed by the slash and blasted away before they could escape.
"No…"
"If this keeps up, Kikyō Castle won't hold!"
Even as the Sand shinobi dodged the slash, they continued charging the walls.
Yagami's thoughts raced.

If he couldn't stop the attack everywhere at once...then he'd force them to turn around.
Go for the commander.
His gaze snapped toward the rear of the Sand army.
"Ebizō—your life ends here!!!"
Yagami shouted with everything he had.
His voice thundered across the battlefield.

The attacking Sand shinobi instinctively turned their heads.
Got you.
Feeling the shift in montum, Yagami's heart leapt.
BOOM!!!
To amplify the effect, he stomped down hard and exploded forward, bursting straight toward the Sand army's rear.
"Lord Ebizō!!"
"Quick—protect Lord Ebizō!!"
Panic rippled through the Sand forces.
Those who hadn't yet reached the walls abandoned the assault and turned back in pursuit.
If Yagami broke through—
With only dozens of guards remaining—
Ebizō's survival would be anything but guaranteed.
"Lord Ebizō, fall back!!"
The guards around Ebizō were shaken.
They had witnessed Yagami's power firsthand and had secretly felt relieved to be stationed in the rear.
They never thought that the one cutting through the battlefield would co for them next.
Even Ebizō himself was stunned by Yagami's maneuver.
Glancing at the dwindling number of guards around him, he imdiately began retreating further to the rear.
