Now reading: Chapter 35: The Glory Still Belongs to the Uchiha from Naruto: I'm a Teacher, But the System Thinks I'm Naruto's Classmate!, a Action novel by Arvinstorm.

Uzumaki Naruto waved his hands, turned around, and returned to the queue.

Kitazawa couldn't help but smile. He thought of a fisherman from his previous life who proudly showed off his big catch everywhere.

Picking up his pen, Kitazawa wrote '80' next to Naruto's na on the roster.

Compared to himself, Naruto's performance was only slightly above average and had so obvious flaws. But even so, it was better than most students in the class.

It wasn't until Uchiha Sasuke took the stage that the first full score appeared.

"Very good," Kitazawa nodded in approval.

Sasuke seed slightly distracted. He recalled that his Clone Technique wasn't this refined before. Then it hit him—it must be due to the tree-climbing training Kitazawa had assigned.

Improved chakra control didn't just help with the Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique, but all ninjutsu.

"Thank you, Mr. Kitazawa," Sasuke said sincerely.

"Next." Kitazawa glanced at the list and called out, "Nara Shikamaru."

Shikamaru, with his usual lazy deanor, slowly stepped forward. He ford the seals, created two decent clones, and returned to the line just as unhurriedly.

At your age, how can you hold back? Youth should be full of energy. Kitazawa could tell at a glance that Shikamaru was just doing the bare minimum.

Yesterday's written exam was the sa—he scored exactly 60. It wasn't that he lacked ability, he just found things troubleso.

In the original story, Shikamaru didn't change until Sarutobi Asuma's death.

"Hyuga Hinata." Kitazawa read aloud, eyes on the roster.

Hinata took a deep breath and slowly walked to the center of the field. Under the attention of the crowd, she couldn't help but tense up.

Instinctively, she looked away. But when her eyes landed on Kitazawa, mories of their special training surfaced, calming her nerves.

Clone Technique! Hinata ford the hand seals and produced two flawless clones.

"Not worse than Sasuke?" Yamanaka Ino blinked in surprise.

Sasuke's expression stiffened. Hinata's technique was indeed perfect—enough to rival him.

And he knew the reason: it was thanks to Kitazawa. Like him, Hinata had also undergone tree-climbing training. Sasuke's gaze then shifted to Ino.

Kurama Yakumo was absent due to poor health.

Naruto, though participating in the training, was progressing slowly and hadn't completed it yet. That left only Yamanaka Ino.

Sasuke waited quietly. Soon, it was Ino's turn. Just as he expected, Ino's clone technique was excellent—just slightly beneath his own.

Thankfully, the next three test items didn't rely on chakra control.

Sasuke exhaled in relief. He didn't even want to imagine how disappointed his father and older brother would be if he didn't co out on top.

"When did Ino get so strong?" Choji nudged Shikamaru. "What's going on?"

Because of Shikamaru's high IQ, Choji often treated him like an external brain.

Haruno Sakura also turned to listen. As Ino's close friend, she had a good sense of her capabilities. Seeing her progress this much ca as a surprise.

"It's Kitazawa's special training," Sasuke interjected.

"Special training?" Sakura blinked. "You an during the free period in the practical classes?"

"Oh, I rember now." Choji suddenly recalled.

"Mr. Kitazawa is incredible," Shikamaru said, raising his eyebrows. To him, it was rare for a civilian ninja to be this competent.

"Yeah," Choji nodded in agreent.

Sasuke, Ino, Naruto, and Hinata—those who received Kitazawa's training—all showed significant improvent.

"I want to join too!" Haruno Sakura clenched her fists.

"Then you'll have to work harder," Ino returned to the group with a smile.

Though Sakura's theory grades were excellent, her practical performance was average.

Unlike Sasuke, who ca from a ninja clan and had prior training, Sakura was learning everything from scratch—it would take ti.

"The clone jutsu test is over. Next up is kunai throwing," Kitazawa announced after grading.

Compared to the varied performances in clone jutsu, kunai throwing was more straightforward. Sasuke once again stood out.

He mimicked Kitazawa's throw—not a blind toss, but accurate and powerful. Terrifyingly good.

Kitazawa felt genuinely relieved. If Sasuke had activated his Sharingan already, it might've cost him his top spot.

After kunai ca the shuriken test. Both are standard tools for ninjas, and performances didn't vary much.

Again, Sasuke was the best.

By 10 a.m., only the physical fitness test remained.

The students, including Sasuke, moved toward the track.

"The rules for this test are simple," Kitazawa explained. "Run fifty laps. The ranking is based on your finishing ti."

He then waved over to Iruka, who stood nearby.

"Kitazawa-senpai," Iruka walked up quickly.

"You'll be in charge of scoring the physical test," Kitazawa said, handing over the roster and pen.

"You're leaving?" Iruka was stunned. "School rules say two teachers must be present for practical tests."

"I'm not leaving. I'm running with them," Kitazawa replied.

"Huh?" Iruka looked even more confused. Is the teacher… warming up?

"If I run with them, it'll ease their nerves. They'll feel like it's just ordinary training,"

Kitazawa smiled. "That way, they'll perform better."

"Oh, I get it now," Iruka realized and said sincerely, "You really are the best teacher at the academy."

"Watch and learn," Kitazawa patted him on the shoulder, stepped onto the track, and shouted, "Start!"

With that, Sasuke and the others began running under his lead.

Physical training was a weekly routine. Everyone knew each other's pace, and the results were consistent.

"Haha! I'm first again!" Naruto bounced in excitent.

You really love being first, huh? Kitazawa shook his head.

"..." Sasuke sat down, exhausted. How does that guy have so much stamina?!

Luckily, Naruto only won the physical fitness test. Sasuke had topped the other three categories. Three first-place results—no way Naruto could beat him.

Sasuke did the math and felt completely at ease. The glory still belongs to the Uchiha.

[Current task: Beco first in the April monthly exam.

Task reward: Wind Release – Vacuum Sphere

The host has completed the task. Reward issued.]

Kitazawa looked at the glowing lines that appeared before him and smiled. With the reward in hand, every effort had been worth it.
