Now reading: Chapter 194: The True Terror Kaede Kitahara Fears — The Otsu from Naruto: My Diary Broke the Plot, a Action novel by AeroScissors.

Yes, Namikaze Minato had completely given up on trying to reseal his mories.

He had attempted it countless tis. Every thod he knew had failed. The problem clearly was not on his end. It lay with Kaede Kitahara… and with that mysterious diary.

Which ant he had no choice.

He had to prepare for the crises of the future.

Especially after seeing that once Uchiha Sasuke awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan, he naturally stepped into Kage Level.

Even Minato had to admit it. Among all the Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan truly stood apart.

No wonder Kaede had written that this was a world shaped by legendary eyes.

And it was not just the Sharingan.

The eyes of the Akatsuki leader were clearly abnormal as well. Those concentric rings… and that single Shinra Tensei that flattened Konoha in one strike.

Most likely another ocular ability, a jutsu derived from a dojutsu, just like the abilities granted by the Mangekyo Sharingan.

On Uchiha Itachi, it manifested as Tsukuyomi.

On Uchiha Sasuke, it beca Amaterasu and Fla Control.

On Uchiha Shisui, it was Kotoamatsukami.

Minato had watched the entire chain of events that led the Uchiha Clan to the brink of rebellion. He saw how Shimura Danzo had ruthlessly ambushed Uchiha Shisui, stolen one of his eyes, and driven him to his death beneath the waterfall.

It was after that tragedy that Uchiha Itachi awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Just as Minato had suspected from the beginning, the Uchiha Clan massacre absolutely had deeper layers. It was not a lone act of madness.

The village leadership had forced his hand.

And that leadership… most likely ant Shimura Danzo.

Even soone known as Konoha's Little Sun felt a surge of killing intent at the thought.

The last ti he had felt such murderous rage was the day his wife went into labor, when the man calling himself Uchiha Kenji had attacked the delivery site.

If he was destined to beco the Fourth Hokage, then he would think like the Fourth Hokage.

The future had already begun to change.

That ant he had to consider how to preserve Konoha's strength as much as possible.

The Uchiha Clan could be won over. They could be used.

If he did not die, the tension between the village and the Uchiha Clan could absolutely be controlled.

But they could not be empowered without restraint.

So individuals could be used.

So could be trusted with greater responsibility.

According to Kaede Kitahara's diary, five people in the future would awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Uchiha Fugaku and his two sons. Three pairs of Mangekyo Sharingan within a single family. The efficiency alone was terrifying.

The other two were Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Obito.

Among them, the ones Minato believed could be entrusted with real power were Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui.

Both possessed a Hokage's way of thinking.

They stood from the perspective of the village. Itachi had even slaughtered his own clan for it. Shisui had willingly accepted Danzo's ambush and sacrifice in the hope of preserving peace between the village and the Uchiha Clan.

To the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Itachi was a demon. A butcher. A heartless traitor.

But from the perspective of soone who thought like a Hokage, the evaluation was different.

He was a blade.

A sharp one.

And potentially a trustworthy partner.

With the right guidance, he could be a pillar of the village.

Uchiha Shisui was the sa.

Yes, he had been naïve. Unable to find a solution to the growing rift, he had chosen death.

But that willingness to sacrifice himself moved Minato deeply.

The one who required caution instead was the man currently closest to him: Uchiha Fugaku.

Fugaku was clearly courting him, backing his bid for Hokage. And yet he had hidden his Mangekyo Sharingan for years without anyone knowing.

If Kaede had not written it down, the world might never have discovered it.

Why hide such power?

Minato refused to speculate.

Speculation was aningless.

The real problem was this:

Right now, Fugaku might still need him. He might still have to align with the Hokage faction.

But once Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui awakened their Mangekyo Sharingan, the Uchiha Clan would possess three Kage Level combatants.

Would they still submit so easily then?

And in the future, there would be a fourth. Uchiha Sasuke had the potential to awaken it as well.

When the Uchiha Clan gathered four pairs of Mangekyo Sharingan, would they truly remain obedient?

Especially given what Kaede had written about Sasuke's temperant. He was nothing like Itachi or Shisui.

So in Minato's eyes, Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Sasuke fell into the category of people who could be used, but not entrusted completely.

They had to be watched.

As for Uchiha Obito, the one who possessed a unique Mangekyo ability, there was too little information. No fa. Barely ntioned in the diary.

Still, Minato had confidence in his side's strength.

If he did not die, even if the Uchiha Clan flourished, the Hokage faction would only grow stronger.

Himself.

Uzumaki Kushina.

Jiraiya.

The Third Hokage.

And in the future, Uzumaki Naruto, who would also reach Kage Level.

He was not worried about losing a fight.

He was worried about what would happen if things spiraled out of control.

The death of even a single Kage Level fighter was an enormous loss to Konoha.

On that point, his thinking aligned perfectly with Uchiha Itachi's.

And then there was Uchiha Kenji.

Not Uchiha Madara.

But his abilities were undeniably strange. Dangerous.

He required vigilance as well.

Looking at the future as a whole, it seed Konoha would need powerful shinobi stationed everywhere.

According to Kaede's diary, within a few short years the Third Great Ninja War would likely erupt. It was probably during that war that Minato would gain enough prestige to compete with Orochimaru and ultimately beco the Fourth Hokage.

And further still, there would be the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Peace in the shinobi world was never permanent.

Each era of peace was rely an intermission between wars.

One thing shocked him more than anything else.

Hatake Kakashi's Sharingan was not an ordinary three-tomoe eye.

It was a Mangekyo Sharingan.

How was that possible?

How could the Uchiha Clan allow a Mangekyo Sharingan to wander outside their bloodline? And not hidden, but displayed openly before their very eyes?

If Kakashi's Sharingan could evolve to that level, then Minato would have to reassess his evaluation of Kakashi's decision to abandon swordsmanship and rely on the Sharingan in battle.

The gap between a standard Sharingan and a Mangekyo Sharingan was like heaven and earth.

He continued reading quickly.

When he reached the part where future Uzumaki Naruto, Sakura, and Uchiha Sasuke ford the New Sannin, he froze for a second.

Then he laughed.

So the Sannin had successors after all.

But once he finished the entire entry, his expression turned grave.

There were several organizations and clans that even Kaede treated with deep caution.

First among them was Akatsuki.

Minato had never heard of this group in the present, but every mber described in the diary was extrely dangerous.

The ones revealed so far were all S-rank Missing-nin.

At minimum, elite Jonin Level.

More often, Kage Level.

Konoha's S-rank Missing-nin Uchiha Itachi.

Kirigakure's S-rank Missing-nin Hoshigaki Kisa.

Takigakure's S-rank Missing-nin Kakuzu.

And an unknown mber of Jashinism nad Hidan.

None of them were easy opponents.

Judging from the battle records, Hidan appeared to be the weakest.

Yet even Hidan possessed strength comparable to an elite Jonin. His immortality made him one of the hardest enemies Minato had ever seen.

Each of them was a dangerous madman.

And the leader who commanded such monsters had displayed terrifying strength.

With a single move, he had flattened Konoha.

His power was absolutely at the level known as Super Kage Level.

Through assessing that man's strength, Minato finally glimpsed the threshold of what Super Kage Level ant.

The more he understood, the more unsettling it beca.

Akatsuki's high-end combat power was already excessive. At their peak, they could stand toe to toe with Konoha.

And yet, according to Kaede's diary, even they were far inferior to Kara.

The diary suggested that the Akatsuki leader's power, despite reaching Super Kage Level, was described as only Super Kage Level.

When Minato read that phrase, he truly had a mountain of complaints in his chest.

Soone that strong was rely brushing the coattails of Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama.

At best, a gatekeeper of Super Kage Level.

That realization confird sothing else for him.

The man who had attacked Kushina's delivery site and claid to be Uchiha Madara was absolutely not the real Uchiha Madara.

The true Madara possessed Super Kage Level strength. If he had wanted to kill Minato, it would not have been so difficult. Nor would he have been countered so easily.

At that level, one barely counted as human anymore.

Which ant that masked man could only be Uchiha Kenji ntioned in the diary.

Though what kind of person nad themselves Kenji? It sounded almost foolish.

And yet—

Even such a terrifying existence was not the one Kaede truly feared.

The one he genuinely feared was the clan repeatedly ntioned throughout the diary.

The Otsutsuki Clan.

A race said to roam the stars, invincible wherever they went.

Among them was one nad Otsutsuki Isshiki.

In Kaede Kitahara's words—

Unrivaled beneath the heavens.
