The realisation hit Raikage like a hamr to the skull.
The itching beneath his skin. The faint, crawling heat spreading through his veins. He didn't even feel anything until now; it was his negligence that he didn't consider the fact that he could too beco infected by the poisonous insect.
"…That damn insect," he growled.
Poison. Slow, invasive, gnawing its way through his body.
It was feeding on his chakra and life force...
Raikage snarled and chakra exploded outward. The lightning around him deepened, compressing, roaring louder as it wrapped tighter around his fra. His muscles swelled, veins bulging as the armor sharpened into sothing feral.
Lightning Release: Armor—Second State.
The ground shattered beneath his feet.
Sukuna's eyes narrowed. He knew what was coming, and thus he got ready. That was Raikage's lightning armor second stage. Even Naruto in his KCM was beaten in Shippuden. Sukuna was on his extre alert state.
"So that's your desperation," he taunted.
Raikage didn't answer, just vanished.
Not fast... no—just gone.
The air scread as Raikage appeared beside Sukuna and slamd his fist down. Sukuna phased instantly, Kamui swallowing his body as the punch obliterated the ground where he stood. Before he could reappear.
Another strike.
Another.
Raikage didn't stop. He chased the distortion itself, attacking the space Sukuna would exist in, forcing Kamui to remain active.
It almost felt like he was getting swamped by multiple Raikage clones from all sides.
He only stood a chance due to Kamui.
Thanks to Mangekyo, he could still track Raikage's movents. However, he was completely outclassed in speed this ti. His reaction speed was just not enough to keep up.
Raikage's speed now exceeded prediction. Even with Mangekyō screaming warnings into his skull, Sukuna couldn't counter. He couldn't attack. He could only evade with Kamui.
Kamui carried him through blow after blow. Fists passed through his chest. Elbows tore through his skull. Lightning roared inches from his spine.
But how long.
Only, five minutes.
That was the limit.
Sukuna gritted his teeth. Ready to teleport away with Hiraishin, but recalled he had other ways.
Raikage roared, relentless, blood steaming off his body as poison fought lightning within him. He didn't care. He needed Sukuna dead before his own body betrayed him. Even if he fell here, he would make sure to take this little bastard with him. Cause if he let this pink-haired boy live, Konoha might even have a super Kage-level shinobi in the future.
At the age of 12 or so, he could fight with him.
He absolutely couldn't let him live... Raikage was quite shocked at how powerful Sukuna was. He even considered him Konoha's Jinchuriki for a while when fighting. But now knew that wasn't the case.
Another reason why he had to kill him.
Sukuna retreated, still intangible.
He flicked his wrist.
Tags flew.
Exploding tags, which beca tangible the mont they left his touch.
Raikage barely registered them before the world detonated.
The explosion tore the forest apart, fire and pressure swallowing everything. Sukuna remained untouched within Kamui, watching through the distortion as Raikage was hurled backward, skidding across shattered earth.
The Raikage rose imdiately, smoking, furious—but Sukuna had already dropped Kamui.
And reactivated it.
The tir reset.
Raikage roared in pure rage, charging again, but the rhythm had changed. Sukuna didn't fight back anymore—he just focused on evading. Teleporting with Flying Thunder God, phasing in and out, forcing Raikage to burn chakra chasing nothing.
Seconds bled into minutes.
Raikage's breathing grew heavier. His lightning flickered—still violent, but less stable. Poison ate at his muscles. His heart pounded against resistance it could no longer overpower.
Finally, Raikage couldn't maintain his Lightning Chakra Armor State 2 for long, and he dropped to his first state, chest heaving, sweat pouring down his face.
Sukuna stopped. He too was panting, constant use of Kamui leaving him too tired. While he could now use the technique without the problem of losing eyesight, he still faced the downsides of using a Sharingan as a non-Uchiha. And this was Mangekyo on top of that.
He burned his CE like a dam opened up, though he had enough that that never was the problem. It was the sensory overload which made him troubled.
He was basically in the sa situation as Teen Gojo was.
Raikage looked up, eyes blazing. Though his earlier fighting spirit was wavering now. He couldn't find a way to take down Sukuna anyway with that damn space-ti jutsu in the way.
For a second, he even thought about leaving. Dying here wouldn't be worth it if he couldn't kill the brat with him.
Sukuna too saw the change from Raikage's earlier aggressive approach. And he was not gonna let Raikage get away; he had to die here.
Suddenly, once again, Raikage's chakra surged up, but this ti he didn't co at him.
He ran.
Not in panic, not in fear—but in calculation. His body was failing him. The poison burned hotter now, his muscles screaming with every step, lightning armor flickering like a dying fla. He knew this was no longer a fight he could win.
Sukuna almost saw this coming like he saw the future.
"Don't even think about running, you damn lightning gorilla," Sukuna said, voice low and cold.
Raikage burst forward, tearing through the forest, uprooting trees with sheer speed. Sukuna followed relentlessly. Flying Thunder God flashes placed him ahead, beside, behind—never letting Raikage build distance, never letting him breathe.
Each clash drained Raikage further.
A punch here. A Cleave there. Not killing blows—if that was possible, then Sukuna long had taken him down. No killing hits, but just enough. Enough to slow him.
Raikage roared in frustration and spun around suddenly, not running away now.
Throwing everything he had into one massive strike. Lightning flared violently as his fist ca down like a falling mountain.
The sudden attack had Sukuna's eyes widen.
However, this ti around Sukuna didn't dodge with Kamui. Instead, he brought his hand up, pushing his CE reinforcent to its max, and blocked the attack.
His legs seed to dig deeper into the soil by the impact, making his entire body shake by the power the attack had.
Lightning coursed through him, making him grit his teeth in both anger and pain. But he sohow suffered through it.
Instead of letting go, he held on tight to Raikage's hand, making the tired and exhausted Raikage struggle to break free.
And that was his ti to use his trump card.
His eyes locked onto the arm he was holding by its shoulder, and Kamui activated.
Just how aweso the defensive part of Kamui was, the offensive long-range attack of Kamui was just that irritating. A very powerful attack, but he never seed to hit it. First, it was extrely slow, and second, it was possible to miss because his aim wasn't good with it yet.
Using it against Raikage with his speed was a complete no-go from the start.
There was another way to use it: to just touch the target. But it was still slow enough that Raikage could have run away and been wary of coming into contact again. So he didn't use it until now.
After failing to train the long-range attack of Kamui more in the future and not overly rely on Dismantle, he decided to give the short-range offensive/transporting attack a shot.
For that, he had to touch Raikage, and not for just a few seconds like he did with Cleave—he had to hold onto Raikage for a while. Again, it was not possible earlier with Raikage's speed and lightning armor at its peak.
But now... Raikage was tired. This was his only chance. So he went for it.
Raikage tried to break free, but Sukuna was holding on with his CTR attach; he wasn't going anywhere.
Soon, to Raikage's horror, his right arm and shoulder vanished into the swirling portal.
Blood splashed enough to paint the ground red.
Raikage stumbled, the blood loss imdiately hitting him. His lightning armor was gone.
Sukuna didn't miss the chance. With a super hurried and swift, though half-baked, Dismantle, he cut open the tendons on Raikage's legs, finally forcing the mighty to fall.
Sukuna didn't co out of this unscathed either. The left arm he used to block Raikage's earlier attack was completely broken. He felt his joints didn't exist anymore; bones had permanently joined by tanking that attack.
He was panting with the serious aftereffects of overusing his Sharingan.
"Fuck..." he cursed.
RCT instantly roared up, fixing himself. Another source of his screaming brain, running closer to brain fry.
He seriously had to practice overusing his techniques and train his brain.
He looked at Raikage, who was trying to regain his balance and stand up, and grinned.
"Kai..."
This ti, a powerful Dismantle rushed at Raikage, who barely put up a weak lightning shield on instinct before his chest tore open in a deep gash, sending him flying back and knocking into a tree trunk.
"Cloud gonna need a new Raikage..." Sukuna grinned as he go ahead to finished he job.
xXx
A/N : How was the fight... I wrote it as close to reality I could imagine the real two characters fighting. Only Sukuna with Kamui while lacking his domain and WCS and Raikage with poisonous insect in them.
