The sudden attack might have disrupted Kitakari town, but the duty must go on. After that one episode of a sudden attack on the first day, the next few days were rather peaceful.
There were occasional clashes and capture operations against the rogue ninjas. But none of the fights escalated to a scale big enough to disrupt the town or the patrolling missions of the Konoha ninjas and ANBU operatives stationed here.
Sure, the days were a bit mundane. But it was orderly and peaceful.
For a ninja, mundane days were good days.
At least, on those mundane days, they could relax and wouldn't have to risk their lives fighting against outrageous enemies and chakra beasts.
And so, four days passed.
According to the assigned mission, today should be the fifth and final day Seii and his team would patrol Kitakari town before they could return to the village.
As for their current patrolling duties…
Of course, they would hand it over to the newly deployed team, who were about to arrive the next day.
Everything was going well without any issues.
However, Seii couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy.
To him, the current situation of the city seed too calm. Eerily calm.

Senju Haku asked Hyuga Ginjo, "Did you see anything abnormal within the town today?"

Hyuga Ginjo thought for a while before speaking, "No, Captain. Apart from a few rampart ninjas and unidentified individuals with chakra, I don't see anything unusual at all."
"At least, not within my search radius."
Hearing this, Senju Haku pinched the bridge of his nose between his eyes silently and said nothing.
Seii also searched his surroundings with his Tenseigan.
With his current mastery, he could detect everything within a seven-kiloter radius in detail. However, if he sacrificed the detailed inspection, he could sense and vaguely see the chakra fluctuations, living beings, and notable objects that were stationed as far as fifteen to twenty kiloters away.
It was important to consider that Seii's Tenseigan was still going through different phases to unlock more of its power. To do it, Seii would need to grow up, have a strong body, a vast amount of chakra, and more control over his Dojutsu.
And he was still learning the ropes.

The sun was slowly rising on the horizon. Soon, the sunlight would illuminate the darkness from the surrounding area.
However, Seii suddenly halted. His pupils constricted as he looked toward the gates of the city.
Seeing this, he could only curse, "Shit!"
"Quickly. Quickly report the gatekeepers to ring the ergency bell, block the exits, and assemble all the Konoha ninjas and affiliated samurai in this city."
His teammates could sense the urgency in his voice, but they weren't sure what made Seii so anxious all of a sudden.
Hyuga Ginjo even scanned the surrounding areas with his Byakugan, but he couldn't find anything amiss.
Uchiha Sorata, on the other hand, stayed silent for a mont before asking, "Did you sense sothing?"
Seii quickly composed himself and looked at his team, "Captain. We have to get ready to fight."
"It's a chakra beast riot."
Senju Haku suddenly went silent before asking, "You're joking, right?"
At that mont, he suddenly heard the ergency bells ringing in a specific pattern, notifying all ninjas to gather at the nearest Konoha checkpoints.
Haku's eyes widened. His expression suddenly beca solemn.
Based on the sequence of the ergency bells' sounds, an attack on the town—sothing that could destroy it if they couldn't stop it—was about to happen.
So, he glanced at Seii and said, "I don't know how you sensed it, but I guess you're not joking."
"Let's move to the southern checkpoint."
As soon as Senju Haku said those words, all five of them activated the Body Flicker Technique and disappeared from their current positions.
