Seii stared at the goblin lord with a faint smile on his lips, and the goblin lord glared back at him.
Behind Seii, the sound of heavy objects hitting the ground, explosions generated from Fire and Lightning Release Ninjutsu, and flesh being torn by sharp objects could be heard.
Clearly, Touma and Haneda were wreaking havoc with such intensity that the goblins and hoblins didn't have the leisure to look toward Seii and cause trouble for Seii anymore.
With his powerful perception and Tenseigan, no one could sneak attack on him unless they employed so really peculiar thod. These pesky goblins obviously didn't have anything like that.
So, Seii's full focus was on the goblin lord in front of him. It seed intelligent, had enough battle IQ to launch well-tid, deadly attacks, and the patience to wait without charging blindly at him.
According to the notes, although the goblin lord still had a set amount of innate skills, just like any other chakra beasts, it had enough intelligence to modify the innate skills it possessed and make them deadlier to its enemies.
And Seii wanted to witness it first-hand.
"Let's see if you can give any surprises before your death."
Seii murmured as he steadied his stance, ready to dash forward toward the cautious yet enraged goblin lord in front of him.
Seeing Seii charging toward it, the goblin lord instantly channeled rich Earth Release chakra into the ground and activated one of its long-range offensive skills.
Innate Skill: Earth Drills
No less than ten deep brown, fifty-centiter-long, drill-like structures erged from the ground in front of the goblin lord and began to rotate so fast that they beca red due to scorching heat generated from the friction.
The previous drill-like projectiles didn't have this feature. It was clear that the goblin lord was going all out, determined to take Seii down.
In the blink of an eye, the scorching hot, red, rotating drills shot forward like arrows, one after another. The goblin lord released each of them with a couple of milliseconds of interval between two projectiles, making them difficult to dodge or deflect.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Watching the ten spinning drills that could easily obliterate his body, Seii showed no fear. Instead, his eyes began to glow in an ocean-blue glow as he charged forward fearlessly.
Ten heavy projectiles. I can dodge them.
Seii thought as he dodged six of them with ease. When he was about to dodge the other four by moving sideways, two tall and sturdy walls of earth suddenly appeared on his left and right sides.
The goblin lord's eyes shone with cunning as he looked at Seii, whose escape route had been cut off. Now, Seii had no other choice but to face the projectiles head-on.
Even if he destroyed two or three of them, he wouldn't have the ti to destroy the last one completely.
This would lead to Seii suffering from severe injury.
At least, that was what the goblin lord thought.
Paths blocked. Projectiles are closing in. I don't have enough ti to destroy the walls. Jumping high can be a solution. But the goblin lord might just be waiting for to do it.
The Water Formation Wall won't work in this closed situation. The Wind Release Jutsu will take ti to gather wind. Fire Release? Bad match-up.
Earth Release? Yeah, let's not. Wrestling control over the natural earth from the goblin lord with my Earth Release chakra will cause a slight delay.
In that case…
Seii's mind raced as he thought about different scenarios and solutions.
Finally, purple lightning gathered in his left hand, which caused the sound of a thousand birds chirping to echo in the air.
Lightning Release: Chidori Senbon
Seii swept his left hand from his right to his left in a horizontal motion, releasing nine, sharp, destructive, one-ter-long needles of lightning as thin as arrow shafts.
Four of them collided precisely with the remaining four drill-like constructs launched by the goblin lord and destroyed them with a burst of lightning, scattering fragnts of earth in the air.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
anwhile, the remaining five needles of lightning charged toward the goblin lord, targeting its throat, heart, liver, belly, and, surprisingly, its groin.
The goblin lord calculated the trajectories of the incoming lightning needles, and its face imdiately darkened.
If it could speak, it would have cursed Seii for not having any knightly virtue or noble honor.
The human boy was targeting its throat, heart, liver, and belly? Fine. It was understandable that he wanted to kill it. It also wanted to kill Seii.
That was fair.
But why was this dishonorable guy also targeting its little brother and family jewels, too?
Needless to say, Seii's dick move completely disgusted the goblin lord.
With a stormy expression on its face, it quickly used its innate skill, Drifting Earth, and got out of the way without breaking a sweat.
Soon, it slamd the sword it was carrying on the ground and channeled a vast amount of Earth Release chakra on the ground.
Seii, who was running toward the goblin lord, could see and perceive that. But he didn't know exactly what kind of move it was planning to unleash with so much chakra.
He didn't have to wait for a long ti as the goblin lord revealed the answer.
The ground around the goblin lord suddenly began to vibrate.
At first, the intensity of the vibration was minuscule. However, at the next mont, the tremor intensified, and the ground around the goblin lord began to change shape.
Multiple square-shaped pillars, each four to five ters wide, erged from the ground and rose high up in the sky.
Next, the stone pillars bent flexibly and rushed toward Seii with the montum of a speeding bullet train.
When the first pillar appeared in front of him and was about to crush him, he imdiately used the Body Flicker Technique to move sideways before continuing to run toward the goblin lord.
anwhile, the stone pillar that missed Seii crashed heavily on the ground, causing the earth within a radius of ten ters to crack and sink.
Booooooooom!!
Dust and stone fragnts exploded outward. The impact zone ford a deep crater-like pit surrounded by large cracks and chunks of destroyed stone.
Seii didn't even bother to look at the aftermath of the impact. After all, more than a dozen stone pillars were coming after him, seemingly hell-bent on crushing him into atpaste.
"If this innate skill were used in a war, the result would be devastating. Its power is similar to a mini teor impact."
Lightning arcs burst out of Seii's body as he activated the Thunder Body Flicker Technique to quickly dodge all the incoming stone pillars with swift and agile movents.
Stone pillars crashed left and right. And amidst the chaos, Seii continued forward. The distance between him and the goblin lord was now just over a hundred ters.
Suddenly, another stone pillar erged just fifty ters away and raced toward him at a sharp downward angle.
Seii simply jumped onto it and ran across it.
But before he could even move for ten ters, an earth spear ford on the stone pillar he was running on. The spear detached from the pillar and shot toward him, targeting the middle of his chest.
Seeing this, Seii jumped off the stone pillar, dodged the flying spear effortlessly, and landed on the ground.
Now, Seii was just fifty ters away from the goblin lord.
"Kiiiiieeeeeeeeeee"
The goblin lord let out a sharp screech, and the ground around him trembled once more.
This ti, more than fifteen stone pillars erupted from the ground, rose, bent, and rocketed toward Seii in a denser formation.
Unfortunately for the goblin lord, Seii, who was empowered by the Thunder Body Flicker Technique, still dodged every attack.
The stone pillars slamd on the ground around Seii with a trendous force, but it couldn't halt Seii's pursuit.
The stone pillars had now ford a zigzagged wall on both sides of Seii, who was just over twenty ters away from the goblin lord.
Seii activated Chidori Katana, causing countless arcs of lightning to coil and dance around Seii's blade, and made it vibrate at a high frequency.
However, at that mont, hundreds of small spears made of stone erged from the stone pillars that surrounded Seii from his left, right, and upward directions.
Hundreds of spears were clearly going to be shot toward Seii within a few milliseconds.
Crap. A smart move, indeed. If I don't take the right action within the tenth of a second, these spears will turn into a dead sea urchin.
Thankfully, Seii had many moves to get out of this predicant.
So, he decided to unleash the technique that could solve the situation most efficiently.
Seii made his decision.
And then, countless lightning bolts flashed in the battlefield with such intensity that even Touma and Haneda, who were a few hundred ters away, could clearly see them and feel their destructive power.
