As Seii continued to practice for the next three hours, his proficiency with the Flying Thunder Jutsu continued to rise.
He was still inside the forest at the back of the Hokage Rock, teleporting various inanimate objects, including rocks, kunai, and even water balloons, to trees located at different distances, marked with his unique Flying Thunder God Mark.
Fortunately, he had the presence of mind to add a few concealnt runic structures to make his Flying Thunder God Seal Mark invisible and hard to detect, even with powerful chakra sensing abilities.
Otherwise, when people go through this area, they would surely witness the ridiculous scene of trees marked with the Kanji that spelled 'Your Father is Here!'
Being Chunni was one thing. If your friends found out about his occasional Chunni behavior, that was fine, too.
But letting the whole village know about his embarrassing dark history? Now that was sothing that even he, with all his shalessness, couldn't stomach.
If he had to give an example, then…
Being an otaku is fine.
Discussing cultured, otaku stuff with your friends is also fine.
But shouting your identity as an otaku to your whole high school class and doing embarrassing Chunni stuff and shouting Chunni dialogues?
That's a straight-up social suicide.
Damn it…
Even thinking about it was giving him the chills.
"Well, the marks are invisible anyway. There is no need to worry," said Seii with a relaxed expression.
But at the next mont, he started sweating again.
"Wait a damn mont. I didn't accidentally raise a red flag just now, did I?"
"No, no. How can that happen? It's not like my life is a novel where I can jinx myself."
"Phew…" Seii wiped out the taphorical sweat from his forehead and muttered. "Relax, Seii, things like jinxing don't happen in real life."
"Hah! Perhaps I am missing the web novels too much. This world doesn't have any proper form of entertainnt."
"And even if it does, they are not suitable for children."
[A/N: Cough…cough…my cultured readers should understand what form of entertainnt isn't suitable for children, right?]
Seii sighed before looking at the water balloon in his hand.
He decided to teleport it to the top of a boulder a hundred ters away that he had marked with his Flying Thunder God Seal.
In the blink of an eye, he easily sensed the spatial coordinate of the boulder that he couldn't even see clearly without activating his Tenseigan due to it being shrouded by multiple trees.
But thanks to his extraordinary spatial perception, he could easily perceive the shape of the boulder and any activity within a radius of several ters around it, even if he kept his eyes closed.
That was one of the perks of the Flying Thunder God Technique and its spatial markers.
As long as he focused, he could sense any environntal movent, chakra, or other form of disturbance around his Flying Thunder God Marks using his spatial perception.
Of course, the accuracy of the perception and detection varied.
For example, if he were just a hundred ters away from one of his Flying Thunder God Marks, he could sense the space with a radius of tens of ters around the mark.
But if the mark is located one kiloter away from him, he could only perceive and sense the space with a radius of less than ten ters around the mark.
The more proficient he got with the Flying Thunder God Technique, the clearer, wider, and more accurate his spatial perception and sense around his mark beca.
No wonder that the user of this technique could teleport to the exact location they wanted without any accident, even if the location of their teleportation target was kiloters away.
Otherwise, imagine trying to teleport to a tree branch, only to teleport beneath the branch and fall.
That would be an embarrassing and potentially bone-breaking experience if the ninja didn't react quickly.
Yeah, no thanks!
Soon, right after sensing the space around the boulder, Seii focused his perception on the top of the boulder before activating the Flying Thunder God Technique on the water balloon.
The pink water balloon vanished from his hand in the blink of an eye. And right after that, his spatial perception confird that the water balloon had been teleported to the top of the boulder safely.
At the next mont, Seii vanished from his spot after activating the Body Flicker Technique.
And in less than three seconds, he also reached the boulder.
Seeing the water balloon intact with his very eyes, he nodded with a satisfied smile.
"The balloon looks fine. No damage. No scratches."
"It can be confird that the spatial travel is pretty safe. I should be able to use the Flying Thunder God Technique without fearing any accidents now."
Then, he activated his system panel and looked at the progress of his technique reflected in the transparent, blue panel that only he could see.
[Flying Thunder God Technique LV2 (88/500) → (274/500)]
"Hmm…not bad."
"That's so decent progress. Though that is mostly because of my high spatial talent, giving multiple proficiency points in every single attempt."
"I should reach LV3 today. Then, I will try experiencing teleportation myself."
"I wonder if I would be sent to so random space or dinsional tunnel before appearing in the marked locations."
"But before that, I should go consult my father. He knows the ins and outs of this technique the best. I will consult him after hitting LV3. No rush!"
Seii grabbed the water balloon, tossed it up playfully, and caught it again.
"Let's continue grinding—hmm?"
Seii, who was about to continue his training, suddenly paused.
Since he was within the boundary of Konoha, he didn't bother to activate his Tenseigan.
After all, if there was any danger to his life or soone ca within a radius of a few hundred ters of him, he could sense their presence even with his deactivated Tenseigan.
If soone or so objects ca closer, he could find their locations by sensing the disturbance in the wind flow, all thanks to his LV6 Wind affinity that was already pretty close to LV7.
But what triggered his reaction was the presence of a person approximately three kiloters away from him.
He sensed his presence through the special spatial perception, which had captured a humanoid entity with an Elite Chunin-level chakra signature near one of his Flying Thunder God Marks.
Sure, this forest behind the Hokage Rock did have quite a few chakra beasts. But most of them were C-rank or D-rank chakra beasts.
Humanoid chakra beasts in these areas?
Impossible!
Unless, of course, a humanoid chakra beast had entered through the detection barrier located around the periter wall of Konoha, which was tens of kiloters away from Seii's current location.
Any humanoid chakra beasts were at least B-rank in danger rating.
And judging by the perceived chakra signature, its rank was lower than B-rank beasts, who had at least full-fledged Jonin-level chakra.
Plus, most chakra beasts, except for the AA-rank beasts, were too dumb to evade sophisticated detection barriers set up by the Konoha's Barrier Team.
After eliminating all the possibilities that didn't fit the logic, Seii could only conclude one thing.
This is definitely a human, and one with Elite Chunin-level chakra no less.
The thought process might look long, but all those thoughts flashed through his mind in less than one second.
And at the next second, Seii activated his Tenseigan.
Tenseigan—Activate!
Seii's crystal-like, ocean-blue eyes with a srizing, tendril-like white flower pattern that seed to converge into his pupils, glowed with a royal blue light.
Enchanting. srizing. Hauntingly beautiful.
All trees, stones, and obstacles seed to fade away as his eyes found the person he was looking for with pinpoint accuracy.
The person had a stocky build and wore a civilian uniform; his chakra seed to lean heavily toward the rich Earth nature affinity, signaling years of hard work in developing his Earth affinity.
Plus, the guy seed to be in his early thirties.
Now, in this world, appearances could be deceiving, especially since the chakra had helped humans extend their lives.
But that only applied to those who had at least mid-tier Jonin-level chakra.
For example, the average life expectancy of an Elite Jonin with at least 50,000 units of chakra was anywhere from 135 to 150 years.
Of course, that was only applicable if the ninja didn't die from poison, illness, accidents, or because of the most common occupational hazard of being a ninja, killed in action during a mission.
But with the Elite Chunin-level chakra, there was no need to worry about this guy.
He truly seed to be in his early thirties.
On a second look, this guy's facial and general physical features seed to be a bit different from the general appearances of the people in the Land of Fire.
A middle-aged guy with Elite Chunin-level chakra, a civilian uniform, and a slightly stocky build?
Hmm?
And his rich Earth attribute-dominated chakra, which he could perceive through his Tenseigan, literally scread: I trained my Earth affinity for years, and I can throw so really cool Earth Release Jutsu.
This guy definitely wasn't so civilian.
He was an experienced Chunin-level ninja for sure. Civilians wouldn't dare to co to this forest filled with chakra beasts.
And why does this guy look so sneaky?
"Hey, Hey, this uncle looks suspicious!"
Seii mumbled as he looked at the guy through his Tenseigan.
"Whatever, let's go and greet this uncle."
