Unless Seii was researching so quiet kind of Ninjutsu, he would always end up blowing the training ground at least once every few days.
And recently, the frequency had only increased as he grew up.
Mito asked, "Shouldn't you go and check? What if he gets injured in one of his experints and sets the house on fire?"
Hashirama waved his hand and replied, "Injured? Him?"
"Nah!"
"He had already mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique. He can teleport to a safe place at any mont."
"That Jutsu is really amazing. I wanted to learn that, too. Unfortunately, I couldn't. Tobirama told that my space-ti talent was too low to learn it."
"As for setting the house on fire? That's even more impossible."
"Seii had already asked to reinforce the training space with my Wood Release constructs."
Mito nodded in understanding. "I see. Your Wood Release can absorb chakra, and the woods you create won't catch fire."
Hashirama shook his head and replied, "It's not that they won't ever catch fire. My woods can be burnt too, as long as the temperature and the chakra density of the fire are high enough."
"But at my level, there are hardly any individuals whose Fire Release can cross that threshold."
"Plus, with Seii's mastery over Water Release, there is no need to worry about setting the ho on fire."
Mito agreed with an amused smile. "This made recall Tobirama's early days."
"Just like Seii, he was too excited about researching new Ninjutsu, often causing all kinds of explosions and accidents."
"There was one ti when he tried to make a contract with the ocean and ended up flooding the entire clan compound."
Hearing this, Hashirama suddenly laughed.
"Hahahaha!"
"Yeah, and he did that multiple tis, too."
"The clan elders were furious. Later, they even mocked him by calling him an Ocean Release expert."
"They weren't wrong. He literally released an ocean."

While Hashirama and Mito were reminiscing about Tobirama's past, Seii was looking at the spot where he had been standing just a few monts ago with a deadpan look on his face.
His failed Ninjutsu had triggered the explosion, creating a crater three ters wide and one ter deep. The crater was surrounded by several spider-web-like cracks, scorched soil, and flickers of fla.
The earth at the center of the crater had almost turned into magma.
Seeing such a devastating scene, a few droplets of imaginary cold sweat couldn't help but appear on his forehead.
"Fortunately, I have already learned the Flying Thunder God Technique. Otherwise, I would have been toast by now."
Seii murmured. He still felt the lingering fear after seeing the aftermath.
Before the ring of fire chakra could completely destabilize and explode inwardly, Seii teleported away from the middle of the fiery ring to a safe spot marked by his Flying Thunder God Seal.
And soon after that, the fiery ring exploded.
"Then again, without being proficient in a space-ti displacent Jutsu like the Flying Thunder God Technique, I wouldn't even dare to try to experint on this Fire Release Jutsu myself."
"It's dangerous. Way too dangerous. No wonder many ninjas die every year from trying to create new Ninjutsu."
What? You asked why he couldn't just move away from the ring before it exploded. You said he could have simply used the Body Flicker Technique, and there was no need to use the Flying Thunder God Technique to get away?
Well, if it were any normal Ninjutsu, it wouldn't have been fine to use the Body Flicker Technique to get away.
But the Jutsu Seii that he was trying to create wasn't normal.
The Jutsu created a fiery ring of condensed fire chakra around Seii. So, once the ring destabilized, it beca extrely volatile and sensitive to external anomalies.
In short, if Seii tried to get away from the destabilized fiery ring, it would have reacted to Seii's chakra. And it would have accelerated the deterioration of the already volatile condensed fire ring, causing it to explode imdiately.
So, physically crossing the edges of the ring was out of question.
To get away safely from the danger, learning a space-ti teleportation Ninjutsu was necessary.
Only after he beca proficient in the Flying Thunder God Technique did he dare attempt to create this Ninjutsu.
If he could complete it, it would at least be a top-tier A-rank wide-area annihilation Ninjutsu, if not a S-rank one.

The training ground would even snuff out the fire after a few seconds.
Seii wouldn't even have to lift a finger at all.
True Wood Release can really create a perfect training zone for those who are prone to causing explosions and love practicing Fire Release Ninjutsu.
Of course, only True Wood Release, made of the unique combination of Earth, Water, and Yang chakra nature, could achieve what his uncle Hashirama's Wood Release had achieved.
Common Wood Release Kekkei Genkai awakened by the Senju clan ninjas, such as Kyojuro, who Seii had fought as a six-year-old kid, couldn't achieve that.
Although the common Wood Release still resisted fire and absorbed the chakra of the enemy, those effects were pretty weak.
Full-fledged Jonins who were proficient in Fire Release could still set the woods generated by the common Wood Release on fire.
As for his uncle Hashirama's Wood Release?
Even a peak Super Kage-level ninja specializing in Fire Release would have a tough ti setting Hashirama's wood constructs ablaze.
Only sothing on par with Amaterasu Flas—the inextinguishable black flas as hot as the solar flares—could set the wood constructs of his uncle, Hashirama, on fire.
But how rare were the Amaterasu Flas?
Only a few Uchiha clan ninjas who had awakened Mangekyo Sharingan had a chance to awaken the Amaterasu Flas as one of their ocular techniques.
According to his uncle, even Madara hadn't awakened those flas as his Mangekyo Sharingan's ocular technique.

Once it was done, he just had to use it again and again to increase the Jutsu's proficiency and develop it further.
The ancestors (cough…the web novel enthusiasts from his previous world) were right.
Only by combining cheats and hard work could you create miracles.
Anyway, having cheats was amazing.
With that, he created a few shadow clones and left the task of researching the new Jutsu to them.
Ignoring the grumbling shadow clones, Seii quietly and shalessly exited the training grounds and walked toward the kitchen.
His stomach was already grumbling.
"Gotta fill the tummy up."
