Seii jumped down from the tree and asked, "Shall we go et the next group of chakra beasts then?"
Reina humd in agreent. "So, where is our next target again?"
Hearing this, Seii shifted his gaze slightly to his left and replied, "Approximately three kiloters away, at 11 o'clock. We have…hmm? No, wait…the remaining Rending Earth Bears are grouping up for so reason."
"The A-rank Rending Earth Bear was alone with a few C-rank and D-rank chakra beasts of its kind. But suddenly, they moved to the other leading Rending Earth Bear with an A danger rating and dual affinity."
Reina tilted her head in confusion, "They grouped up? Does that an they were separated before?"
Seii scratched the back of his head and replied, "Yes, they were separated. But the mont you eliminated that B-rank oversized teddy, all the remaining bears suddenly moved together."
Seii frowned and continued, "What's more, that dual-affinity Rending Earth Bear with an A danger rating seed to have mutated and evolved."
Reina crossed her arms against her chest.
She raised one of her eyebrows and asked, "Mutated? Isn't the latest report on these chakra beasts just a few days old? How did one of them suddenly mutate?"
Seii stopped looking at the distance and t Reina's eyes.
Then, both of them moved their gazes toward the location where their supervising instructor was hidden.
Seii sighed and muttered in a very low voice, "Just when did mutated chakra beasts beco so common? If it weren't us and so other unsuspecting students and an average Jonin instructor, things could have turned really bad."
Reina looked at Seii, and her expression turned a bit strange.
She inquired, "Seii, why are you sighing like a middle-aged family man with too many responsibilities and uttering unintelligible gibberish?"
Seii looked at her blankly and thought, It seed gibberish to you because I was speaking in English, and not this world's language? I would be more shocked if it didn't seem gibberish to you and you actually understood what I muttered.
But, young lady, how did you even hear what I was saying? I am pretty sure that even a Shinobi's extrasensory hearing can't hear what I muttered.
Oh, right. Sharingan Insight. She literally read my lips, and her Sharingan helped her decipher what I muttered. Indeed, nothing can hide from these eyes.
No wonder the Uchiha clan ninjas like to boast that their eyes have already seen through everything. Fortunately, I have Sharingan, too.
Lesson learned once more. Whenever you are near a Uchiha, you'd better seal your mouth.
Multiple thoughts raced through his mind, but he showed no expression on the outside.
Instead, he changed the subject, "Never mind, let's get back to the main topic."
"The dual-affinity chakra beasts had already mutated and evolved. Now, it's a beast with an AA-rank danger rating. And it seed to have acquired Steel Release."
"At least that's what my senses are telling ."
Reina discreetly glanced at Seii's eyes and thought, Yeah, tell that to the other ignorant bunch. You, bastard, are already cheating with Tenseigan. You can clearly see the beast and gauge its affinities.
But here you are, playing dumb and lying about without even flinching.
Okay, your sensory capabilities are indeed formidable. But can they hold a candle before these eyes of yours? I will see just how many years you can play dumb like that.
But Reina didn't expose it. Otherwise, Seii would definitely ask how she knew about Tenseigan. After all, Tenseigan was even rarer than Rinnegan, and its intel was far scarcer.
Even if any ninja clan still had archives on Tenseigan, it would be the Hyuga clan, not the Uchiha clan.
Plus, there was a third-party, the Abura clan ninja, who was also their supervising instructor, hiding and following them closely.
So, Reina didn't dwell on it and responded, "Whatever. AA-rank or not, it doesn't matter. There are only so many chakra beasts there. We can deal with them in less than a couple of minutes."
With their individual powers reaching S-rank, dealing with AA-rank chakra beasts wasn't an issue, indeed.
And since Seii and Reina were teaming up on top of that, killing the remaining chakra beasts, including the AA-rank, A-rank, and B-rank ones, would be a walk in the park, as long as they were careful.
What? You said the chakra beasts outnumbered them by a large margin?
Oh, please, those thirty or so C-rank and D-rank Rending Earth Bears were nothing but a trash mob in their eyes.
Not worth ntioning.
Hearing that, Seii nodded in acknowledgent and replied, "Then let's go and finish them off as soon as possible. This way, we can finish the test first and spend so ti chilling in the nearby Hachijima town, too."
Reina chuckled and added, "If the supervising instructor still insists on submitting the test completion scroll and the mission report as quickly as possible, we can just send a shadow clone with him to perform the mundane tasks and return to Konoha the next day."
Seii gave her a thumbs-up. "A very good idea, indeed."
On the other side, their supervising instructor, the Abura clan ninja, couldn't help but scold them ntally, Hey, hey, you brats. I can hear everything you are saying, you know.
But before he could finish his thought, he saw Seii and Reina, two troubleso students, activate the Body Flicker Technique and move toward another direction rapidly.
"Damn it, they vanished all of a sudden again."
The supervising instructor cursed and hastily followed them.

About a minute later, Seii and Reina stood on the branch of another tall tree and watched the group of Rending Earth Bears, including the AA-rank one, silently.
Reina kept her eyes on the chakra beasts below and whispered, "So, why are we hiding on top of a damn tree again?"
Seii looked at her strangely before replying, "To observe them."
Reina retorted, "What do they even have to observe? We should just go ahead and strike them hard."
Seii sighed. "A little caution never hurts. What if so strange and dangerous thing is hiding sowhere in plain sight?"
Reina's lips twitched. "Well, is sothing hiding in there?"
Seii smirked and replied, "Not really."
Hearing this, Reina's forehead filled with imaginary black lines.
But before she could even retort, Seii suddenly channeled a large amount of fire chakra to his throat.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Seii exhaled a stream of yellowish-white fire that transford into a five-ter-wide giant sphere of fla so hot that the tree's leaves began to dry out and ignite.
At the next mont, Seii hurled it toward the chakra beasts below.
The giant fireball crashed toward the chakra beasts like a teor and hit an unsuspecting B-rank Rending Earth Bear and exploded, sending nurous shockwaves and heatwaves all around the blast zone, all while spreading scorching fire.
BOOOOM!
The entire process took less than half a second, giving the chakra beasts below no ti to react at all.
The blast killed the B-rank Rending Earth Bear that was hit directly, and the scorching fire and shockwaves took the lives of six more C-rank and D-rank beasts, which stood relatively close to it.
The resulting shockwaves even injured and scorched several other Rending Earth Bears, fracturing their bones, singeing their flesh, and sending them flying, all while kicking up so much dust that it obscured the remaining Rending Earth Bears' visions.
However, Seii could see the position of each Rending Earth Bear alive despite the obstruction of the dust, all thanks to his Tenseigan's X-ray vision.
He wasted no ti and jumped down from the branch of the tree while gathering a surge of purple lightning in his right hand.
While still in the air, he pulled his right hand toward his left before sweeping it horizontally from left to right in one swift motion.
Lightning Release: Chidori Senbon
Crackle! Crackle!
At least thirty thin, one-ter-long lightning needles erged from his right palm during the sweeping motion, tore through the air, and pierced through the hearts, throat, and head of sixteen C-rank and D-rank Rending Earth Bears.
The lightning needles detonated and destroyed the throats, hearts, and brains of the unfortunate chakra beasts, easily ending their lives.
Three long lightning needles also pierced the left knee cap, stomach, and the right lung of the remaining B-rank Rending Earth Bear, instantly paralyzing and crippling the beast.
The chakra beast avoided being pierced in its vital areas through sheer survival instinct despite having its vision obscured.
Plus, it used the Earth chakra to reduce the powers of the lightning needles, preventing them from detonating and flooding its body with a devastating surge of lightning.
But ultimately, it just delayed its death.
The mont Seii's feet touched the ground, he pointed his right palm toward the crippled B-rank Rending Earth Bear and mobilized Wind chakra.
Wind Release: Drilling Wind Bullet
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Wind surged and converged into a fifty-centiter-long and ten-centiter-wide rotating drill-like wind bullet and shot toward the crippled B-rank chakra beast.
The drill-like bullet was so fast that the beast didn't even have the ti to react before the bullet tore through its heart and obliterated the entire left side of its torso into bloodmist.
The entire series of combat lasted only a little over five seconds.
The dust that obscured the visibility of the chakra beasts had already started to settle.
anwhile, Reina was still standing on the branch of the tree, whose leaves had caught fire due to Seii's Great Fireball Jutsu.
Her mouth ford an "O" shape, which was enough to indicate that the entire event left her bewildered.
And right now, there was only one thought running in her mind.
Seii, you bastard, at least give a heads-up before launching the attack all on your own.
