As soon as the voice fell, Kamishiro Renji ford a series of hand seals and gathered a large amount of Thrust Release chakra in his lungs.
The air started to heat up around him as he completed the final hand seal.
Thrust Release: Lion's Roar
He opened his mouth and exhaled a scorching hot, highly pressurized, cloud-like beam of hot air toward Seii's team.
Seii saw the roaring, high-pressure, hot stream of wind, which was powerful enough to shatter stones and scorch their remains, close in as he ford a single hand seal to mold a large amount of Water Release chakra.
Conventional wisdom said that using Earth Release Ninjutsu against a high-pressure, scorching beam of wind would be more effective.
After all, it was just a mixture of Fire and Wind Release chakra.
However, Seii knew that common Earth Release defensive Ninjutsu like the Earth-style Wall stood no chance against it.
Sure, Seii had enough chakra reserves to supercharge his Earth Release defensive Jutsu and make it sturdy enough to resist the Thrust Release Ninjutsu.
But that would be a waste of chakra.
To counter the Thrust Release, Water Release was the ideal solution.
And that was exactly what he did.
Water Release: Water Formation Wall
Water particles from the air began gathering around him in a circular motion before rging and erecting a 6-ter-tall and 10-ter-wide flowing, transparent wall of water in front of Seii and his team.
As soon as the water wall was ford, the high-pressure beam of hot air hit it, splashing water and producing water vapor in an attempt to breach its defense.

However, the flowing wall of water held firm.
Soon, the clash between the two Ninjutsu ended, and Seii took this opportunity to activate Chidori Katana with one single-handed seal.

Yellow lightning balls kept flashing, electrocuting and burning the insects whenever they got too close to Haneda.
The Abura clan kid attempted to use elental Ninjutsu to counter Haneda's Lightning Release. But he was once again obstructed by Haneda's shadow clones.
anwhile, Sarutobi Yuto threw multiple shurikens at the kid from the Shimura clan, who masterfully deflected them with his kunai.
He sneered at Yuto and spat, "Is that all you have got?"
However, before he could follow up with an attack of his own, a sense of intense danger swept over him. His instincts were blaring alarms like there was no tomorrow.
He wasted no ti, pivoted on his left foot, and swung his kunai behind in a 180° arc.

The next mont, the sound of tal hitting tal rang out as sparks flew into the air.
The Shimura kid finally saw the face of the attacker as he turned his head and blocked the incoming short sword slash with his kunai.
It was Uchiha Reina.
Soon, the Shimura clan kid's eyes contracted in horror as he saw Reina pitch black eyes turning crimson with two vivid jet-black magatama rotating in her eerily glowing irises.
Reina didn't miss this chance as she activated a unique Genjutsu belonging to the Uchiha clan.
Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique
The Shimura kid tried to close his eyes to prevent himself from falling into Sharingan illusions, but it was of no use.
In that brief mont of eye contact, powerful ocular power surged forth from Reina's Sharingan, which released a powerful Yin Release chakra carrying the Genjutsu.
The Yin Release chakra soon invaded the chakra pathways and the brain of the Shimura clan kid, trapping him in the world of illusion.
The boy found himself in an eerie, blood-red world. His body was hung on a cross, shackled and pierced by several large stakes.
An excruciating pain assaulted the boy's brain. Even though he knew that it was an illusion, the pain made it hard for him to break free of the Genjutsu.
And from what he read in his clan's archives, even if he broke free from this illusory world, his body would still rember the pain, making him feel real pain once he ca back to his senses.
That was how sinister and dangerous this particular Genjutsu was.
And to activate it, the user must have a pair of Sharingan, so only Uchiha clan mbers can use this particular demonic illusion technique.
However, before he could even attempt to break free of this Genjutsu, Uchiha Reina canceled the technique voluntarily.
The sudden turn of events baffled the Shimura clan kid.
And since Reina canceled the Genjutsu voluntarily, he didn't feel physical pain in the real world.
But he didn't dwell on these useless thoughts too much. Taking advantage of this opportunity, he tried to strike at Reina.
However, as he tried to move, he found his body paralyzed, much to his horror. He couldn't understand what was going on.
He was no longer under any form of Genjutsu, nor was he affected by any Fuinjutsu or Juinjutsu seal.
So, why couldn't he move?
Of course, there was a reason for his sudden paralysis.
If one looked at the ground closely, they would find the Shimura clan kid's shadow to be connected to a thin, pitch-black line, which erged from the shadow of Nara Shikamo, who was standing a dozen ters away.
Nara Shikamo had ford a peculiar hand seal. Then, he moved his right hand to his throat.
Interestingly, the Shimura clan kid mimicked that action, and he was forced to bring the kunai he was holding in his right hand to his own throat.
Seeing this action, one of the assistant referees stepped in, disqualified the Shimura clan kid since he had clearly lost, and disappeared from the battlefield while carrying him.
While being carried away, the Shimura clan kid finally understood everything.
Shikamo must have used the Shadow Imitation Technique on him when he was trapped in the illusion cast by the Uchiha girl.
But it no longer mattered. He was already disqualified.

Although Renji tried to counter Seii's lightning-infused blade with his own short sword infused with sharp Wind Release chakra.
After all, lightning was indeed weak against wind.
However, Seii's lightning affinity had already reached Level 6.
So, Renji found himself helpless against Seii's assault.
No matter how much wind chakra Renji channeled through his short sword, Seii's Chidori Katana overpowered it, causing Renji's blade to crack in several spots.

However, Seii gave him no ti to relax.
He imdiately flickered toward Renji, gathered chakra on his right foot, and detonated it as his spinning right kick connected with Renji's abdon.
Chakra Enhanced Strength

Needless to say, Seii used the Chakra Enhanced Strength technique with his right leg as he connected the kick while keeping its output to a minimum level to avoid wounding Renji fatally.
As the kick connected, Renji felt his internal organs rattle as he coughed a mouthful of blood before he flew backward from the resulting force of the kick.
Crash! Plop!
Renji's body flew backward until he was smashed violently into the protective Fuinjutsu barrier and plopped down on the ground.
Renji felt his vision darken as blood trickled down his lips. And before he could stand up, he felt the sharp edge of a cold blade touching his neck lightly.
"You lose," said Seii, who was holding the blade at Renji's neck.
With no other choice left, Kamishiro Renji finally gave in and responded, "I surrender."
The acting referee, Inuzuka Hiro, suddenly appeared on the battlefield and solemnly declared, "All mbers of Team 4-S have been eliminated."
"Team 1-S…wins!"
As soon as the voice fell, the crowd erupted in cheers. Although the match didn't even last two minutes, the spectators, who rarely saw ninjas fight, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Soon, the dics ca out and carried the injured students for treatnt.
With their treatnt, all the injured students would be back to full health within half an hour.
As for the other participants of Team 1-S and 4-S, they went to their designated locations, eager to watch the next group match unfold and analyze their future opponents.
After all, the next group match would soon begin.
