Although Kumogakure enjoys stirring up trouble in other villages, they guard their own village’s secrets very tightly.
The shinobi from Kirigakure and Iwagakure had already arrived earlier.
Sunagakure, being much farther away, arrived a bit later than them.
"Do you want to go out and explore?"
Since they had finally made it to Kumogakure, Kazuki decided to take a stroll and enjoy the scenery, which was vastly different from Konoha. He also planned to try so local delicacies.
Kumogakure’s highland beef was famous throughout the shinobi world.
"Sorry, I think I’ll rest for a bit."
Kakashi hadn’t yet recovered from the death of Koharu.
Kazuki didn’t mind and left the residence with Shisui.
It was unclear whether Kumogakure was deliberately trying to stir up trouble, but they had arranged for the shinobi from other villages to stay close together.
Konoha’s group happened to be sandwiched between Kirigakure and Iwagakure.
The Iwagakure shinobi were nowhere to be seen, but on the second-floor balcony of Kirigakure’s residence, a girl was watching Kazuki with great interest.
"Want to hang out?"
Bored and with nothing to do, i Terumī was leaning on the balcony, idly watching the street. She noticed soone from Konoha’s group coming out and curiously looked over.
Her gaze swept over Kazuki and Shisui, but eventually settled on Kazuki’s face. She couldn’t help but think.
"He’s really handso."
In Konoha, Kazuki was considered one of the most handso, especially compared to the eccentric-looking shinobi from Kirigakure.
Kumogakure was mostly filled with muscular n, and Iwagakure wasn’t much better.
Everyone looked like they had just co out of a coal mine.
So, when i saw a handso guy who matched her taste, she couldn’t help but stare a bit longer.
When Kazuki looked up and noticed her, he casually asked, "Want to hang out?"
i seed a bit stunned. It was the first ti she had encountered such a direct approach, and she didn’t react imdiately.
By the ti she did, Kazuki was still looking at her with a smile.
Oh no!
That feeling in her chest—was it her heart skipping a beat?
i’s cheeks flushed slightly, and she instinctively covered her chest with her hand, coughing awkwardly.
"Ahem, sorry, not interested."
Although I like looking at handso guys, and you definitely fit my type, that was too direct. Besides, we’re from different villages. I can’t just casually agree to hang out.
"....."
Standing beside Kazuki, half a step behind like a bodyguard, Shisui’s lips twitched slightly.
"What a sha."
Shrugging, Kazuki walked away with Shisui.
i continued to lean on the balcony, her eyes following Kazuki as he left.
"Ahhh!!! So annoying. It’s rare to find soone who matches my taste."
After teasing the future Fifth Mizukage, Kazuki took Shisui to a bustling yakiniku restaurant to try so local cuisine.
Although both were yakiniku restaurants, the ones in Kumogakure were completely different from those in Konoha.
Here, the yakiniku restaurants served large chunks of at. For example, if you wanted a specific cut of beef, they would chop off a big piece and grill it.
It wasn’t like Konoha, where the at was thinly sliced, and you grilled it yourself piece by piece.
Many custors in the restaurant rolled up their sleeves and tore into the at with their hands, skipping the chopsticks altogether.
Quite a few people curiously glanced at Kazuki and Shisui.
After enjoying a unique yakiniku experience, Kazuki wandered around the bustling streets, buying so local specialties.
Shisui, on the other hand, continued to act as a bodyguard, not buying anything and constantly observing their surroundings to prevent any sudden attacks.
Honestly, although Shisui’s ideals were a bit naive and he was easily influenced, when it ca to protecting soone, he was a professional.
If it were Kazuki, he definitely wouldn’t be as diligent.
Due to the environnt, the people of Kumogakure were more skilled in Lightning Release and taijutsu. As a result, most of them had darker skin and more hot-tempered personalities.
The from his past life—"What are you looking at?"—would definitely apply in Kumogakure.
After walking around and buying quite a few things, on their way back to their residence, Kazuki asked curiously.
"Shisui, what do you think are the differences between Kumogakure and Konoha?"
"The environnt, lifestyle habits, and people’s personalities are all very different."
After thinking for a mont, Shisui gave his answer.
Compared to Konoha’s superior environnt, which was mostly forests, Kumogakure had many unique landscapes.
Many areas were constantly shrouded in thunderclouds, and the sound of thunder could be heard at any ti in Kumogakure.
If you were unlucky, you might even get struck by lightning while walking down the street.
"Is it just the personalities that are different?"
Kazuki pressed further.
Shisui recalled what he had seen along the way and replied.
"If I had to point out the biggest difference between the people here and in Konoha, it’s that the people of Kumogakure are much more hot-tempered."
Looking around, the streets were filled with muscular n, all with loud voices and explosive tempers.
This was evident even in the successive Raikages. Each Raikage had a hot-tempered personality.
They would start a fight at the slightest provocation, and kicking through office windows to take shortcuts was completely normal.
On the second day after Kazuki and the others arrived, the Sunagakure delegation showed up.
The Raikage’s office sent soone to notify them that the Raikage had invited representatives from each village to discuss the chunin exams.
Since Koharu had passed away, Kazuki was now fully in charge of Konoha’s affairs.
Each village representative could bring one bodyguard to the Raikage’s office, so Kakashi stayed behind. He was used to being alone anyway.
If given the chance, he could spend an entire day by himself.
The level of emotional isolation in Kakashi was sothing even Kazuki found impressive.
It was a good thing Shisui could talk to him. If it were Kazuki, the conversation would probably be one-sided.
One person talking, the other silently nodding or shaking their head.
The Raikage’s office building had a unique design. Several slanted pillars were built from the surrounding mountains, supporting the entire office building in the air.
Combined with its distinctive color, from a distance, the Raikage’s office looked like a sprouting onion skewered by several purple toothpicks.
Tsk tsk tsk, Kumogakure really is rolling in money.
The scale of this office building was several tis larger than the Hokage’s office.
The Raikage’s office alone was bigger than Konoha’s eting room. The most exaggerated part was that the office was filled with various fitness equipnt.
No wonder Kumogakure was full of muscular n. Just look at how dedicated the Raikage was.
It would be hard not to have a muscular build.
"Uchiha Kazuki?"
When Kazuki stepped into the Raikage’s office, everyone inside curiously looked over.
The Fourth Raikage, A, was especially direct.
"I didn’t expect Konoha to reach the point where the Uchiha are in charge."
