"What you’re doing isn’t about motivating Naruto—it’s about provoking yourself."

When Naruto and Sasuke got together, anyone could predict what would happen with just a bit of common sense.

Yet, Jiraiya actually had the nerve to involve Sasuke in this!

Still, seeing Sasuke would undoubtedly give Naruto a significant shock, because recently, Sasuke’s strength had been improving rapidly—extrely rapidly.

Orochimaru’s heart might be black, and his thods cruel, but after receiving Kazuki’s permission, his training for Sasuke had been nothing short of brutal and bloody.

Ironically, it was precisely this kind of training that made Sasuke’s growth skyrocket like a rocket.

In comparison, Naruto seed to be lagging behind.

If the two were to fight right now, Sasuke would absolutely puml Naruto.

Of course, while Sasuke was practically cheating with his progress, Naruto wasn’t much better—he was another cheater in his own right.

It was just a matter of who was faster and who was slower.

"Motivation? What’s wrong with a little motivation?"

"I’m just worried that Sasuke won’t be able to handle it. Orochimaru’s summons aren’t so easy to ta."

Recalling Manda’s temperant, Jiraiya couldn’t help but chuckle darkly.

Though Naruto’s journey to mastering summoning had been full of hardships, Sasuke wouldn’t have it any easier—after all, snakes weren’t as easygoing as the toads of Mount Myōboku.

"As long as you don’t regret it."

At this point, the conversation was practically a challenge.

Kazuki decisively chose to end it there.

If Jiraiya wanted Naruto to be provoked, then so be it—let it be extra provoking.

After dinner, Kazuki didn’t return ho. Instead, he headed to Orochimaru’s underground research lab.

At this hour, Sasuke was still training hard to improve his strength.

Glancing at the surveillance feed, Kazuki turned his head slightly.

"He can use the Summoning Technique properly now, right?"

"He can, but the snakes aren’t exactly... obedient."

Orochimaru gave Kazuki a helpless look.

He had taught Sasuke everything he could, but the nature of summoning creatures wasn’t sothing he could change.

Even he, Orochimaru, had to negotiate terms when summoning snakes—let alone Sasuke.

"Bring Sasuke out. Take him to the Forest of Death."

With that, Kazuki turned and left the underground lab, heading straight for the Forest of Death.

If Manda wanted to be difficult, then they’d just have to make it more docile.

Whether it was a summon or a tailed beast, the Uchiha were experts at taming them.

If Manda really refused to behave, Kazuki wouldn’t mind helping Orochimaru replace his summon.

A summon was just a summon—did it really think it could boss around ninjas and make demands?

Did it believe that just because it ca from one of the Three Great Sage Regions, it could act however it pleased?

Not a chance.

Kazuki hadn’t bothered with this issue before—after all, it was Orochimaru’s summon, and whatever restrictions existed were his own problem.

But now that it involved Sasuke, things were different.

Kazuki felt it was necessary to enlighten Manda.

If it was a summon, then it should know its place.

No more ridiculous conditions.

Demanding tribute just to be summoned for battle?

Why don’t you just drop dead?

Orochimaru knew Kazuki intended to discipline Manda. He picked up the intercom and said to Sasuke:

"Sasuke, you can stop for now. Clean up, then co with to the Forest of Death. Kazuki-sama is waiting for us there."

"Understood."

While Sasuke sotis resisted Orochimaru’s orders, he never disobeyed Kazuki’s.

Not only did he have to follow them, but he also had to hurry—keeping Kazuki waiting was not an option.

The Forest of Death—officially known as Training Ground 44—was where Konoha kept a large number of dangerous creatures.

Wild boars the size of houses, giant snakes as long as trains... many of these creatures had the potential to beco ninja beasts, with so even surpassing the strength of average genin.

The forest’s inhabitants had been deliberately captured and raised by the village, and it was often used for Chunin Exams.

Leaping over the wall, Kazuki walked alone through the forest until he found a suitable clearing and stopped.

Before long, Orochimaru arrived with Sasuke in tow.

"Elder."

Sasuke bowed respectfully.

Kazuki nodded.

"Jiraiya is bringing Naruto to see you tomorrow to compare your progress with summoning. So I’ve decided to help you resolve a... minor issue."

If Jiraiya wanted motivation, then they’d make sure it was plenty motivating.

Sasuke’s learning ability was unquestionable—unlike the half-baked Naruto, he could summon Manda perfectly.

The only problem was that Manda wouldn’t listen.

"Resolve a minor issue?"

Because of Naruto?

Sasuke paused for a mont but obediently bit his thumb, ford hand signs, and slamd his palm onto the ground.

As the summoning seals spread outward from him, a thick cloud of smoke erupted, and a massive shadow lood over the clearing.

"..."

Looking at the summoned creature, Kazuki couldn’t help but glance at Orochimaru.

Did you not explain things properly?

"Lord Sasuke."

A gigantic serpent coiled itself beside Sasuke.

Orochimaru coughed lightly and explained:

"There wasn’t enough ti to clarify."

The snake Sasuke had summoned wasn’t Manda—it was Aoda, who hadn’t yet fully matured.

Though Aoda’s size was impressive, compared to the other serpents of Ryūchi Cave, he was still just a baby.

Unbelievable.

Eyeing the infantile Aoda, Kazuki exhaled and reminded Sasuke:

"Jiraiya and Naruto need a shock. A small snake won’t cut it. I need you to summon Manda—can you do that?"

Manda?

Sasuke nodded blankly.

Aoda was confused. ’Wasn’t I the one being summoned? Why Manda now?’

Before he could process it, Sasuke dispelled the summoning, sending Aoda back, and perford the technique again.

BOOM!!

Thick white smoke once again engulfed the clearing. This ti, the figure that erged was no baby snake—it was Manda, coiled like a small mountain.

In terms of sheer size, Manda wasn’t much smaller than a tailed beast.

But in terms of power? The gap was... considerable.

The odd thing was, Manda was a bizarre hybrid of assassin and warrior—

Incredibly fast, with a monstrously strong body, its only weakness was its lack of ninjutsu proficiency.
