"Let’s talk about law enforcent."

Under everyone’s expectant gazes, Fugaku shifted the topic to changes in law enforcent.

Kazuki couldn’t help but shake his head, disappointed once again.

It seems he shouldn’t have hoped for anything from Fugaku; old habits die hard.

Kazuki was disappointed, and so were the others.

They just didn’t dare show it like Kazuki, with "disappointnt" written all over their faces.

The atmosphere grew tense, with almost no one offering opinions, and Fugaku was the only one speaking.

Since no one else spoke, Kazuki remained silent, wanting to see how much patience his clansn had.

Fugaku was the clan leader, but if he kept disappointing the clan, trouble would eventually arise.

"Kazuki, can we talk?"

As they left the office and returned to the break room, Uchiha Kazaki stopped Kazuki, and the others exchanged glances before leaving.

Uchiha Kazaki, whose na was similar to Kazuki’s, was a staunch supporter of the neutral faction in the clan.

"Now?"

Kazuki’s eyes were full of amusent, not afraid of Kazaki noticing.

The fact that Kazaki approached him already revealed a lot.

In the entire Police Force, aside from Fugaku, everyone else was at their limit.

"There’s a tavern in the clan with good drinks. Let’s have a drink after work."

Nodding in agreent, Kazuki headed straight to the break room.

Kazaki also left decisively.

With so many people to arrest, the Police Force was busy, and it was not until 11 PM that work finally ended.

"Itachi, co with ."

Kazuki planned to bring Itachi to the gathering.

"Yes."

Itachi, who was packing up to go ho, paused and obediently followed Kazuki.

"What happened today was an attack on the Police Force, specifically targeting the Uchiha, to tarnish our reputation, especially at this critical mont."

"Who do you think is targeting us?"

Walking alongside Kazuki, Itachi listened carefully, his mind pondering.

After thinking for a while, Itachi organized his thoughts:

"I’ve reviewed previous files and found that these incidents have happened many tis, each causing great damage to the Police Force and the Uchiha’s reputation, leading the villagers to lose faith in us."

"All these cases share a common trait: the investigations never continue."

Itachi truly puts his all into everything he does.

While others in the Police Force might only handle mundane cases or patrol, Itachi delved deep into understanding everything, even reviewing old case files.

"Why do you think the Police Force doesn’t pursue investigations?"

Itachi fell silent.

After walking a long way with Kazuki, he finally looked up and t Kazuki’s gaze:

"Because the investigations are obstructed by the Anbu, even blocked."

"Right. So who’s targeting the Uchiha?"

"..."

Itachi was silent again.

"It’s Danzo, Shimura Danzo, our advisor to the Hokage."

Kazuki’s words made Itachi’s heart sink.

"Since he beca the Hokage’s advisor, he’s never stopped targeting the Uchiha.

At that ti, the Uchiha’s reputation among the villagers wasn’t bad. Why do you think that is?"

Along the way, Kazuki revealed secrets, gradually influencing Itachi’s thoughts.

He believed Itachi understood his words and their purpose.

Deceit wouldn’t work on Itachi; honesty, with a slight twist, was the best approach.

"Itachi, can I trust you?"

Reaching the eting place, Kazuki stopped and looked down at Itachi.

He had said what needed to be said, now it was up to Itachi to respond.

Pointing to the small tavern behind him, Kazuki smiled:

"I’m not afraid to tell you, the clan’s patience has reached its limit. Everyone’s gathering here to discuss matters the clan leader would rather not see, and I’ll be part of it.

But I can promise that we won’t oppose the village.

As I said, the Uchiha are part of Konoha; we’re one family."

"But now so people look down on us, and we can’t just silently endure. Even a cornered rabbit will bite."

"Do you understand what I an?"

Kazuki’s stance was always firm.

Konoha is a whole, and the Uchiha are a piece of that puzzle.

By clearly stating his position, Kazuki aid to rally more people, slowly bringing Itachi to his side.

"But given who he is, we can’t act recklessly."

After considering for a while, Itachi slowly looked up.

"Hahaha"

Kazuki couldn’t help but laugh, raising his hand to pat Itachi’s head.

Itachi hesitated but didn’t dodge, letting Kazuki’s hand land on his head.

"Thud!"

"Uh..."

Kazuki was stunned, and Itachi was bewildered.

Neither expected the other’s reaction.

The atmosphere grew awkward.

Kazuki coughed, looking at his hand:

"Sorry, I thought you’d dodge."

Itachi’s mouth twitched:

"It’s okay, I didn’t expect you to actually pat ."

Better to skip this awkward topic. Kazuki patted his forehead and continued:

"I’m not planning to retaliate against Danzo; it’s unnecessary. As you said, his position ans we can’t do anything without facing the higher-ups, risking a major conflict."

Not targeting Danzo.

Itachi felt relieved.

"In that case, I think you can trust . After all, I’m part of the clan."

Itachi’s determined gaze showed his decision.

The young wolf was starting to stray.

Kazuki smiled:

"Great, I knew you weren’t as stubborn or naive as Shisui."

He motioned to Itachi.

"Let’s go; everyone’s waiting for us."

Kazuki led the way into the tavern, and Itachi followed closely.
