The next day, a sharp scream startled Kazuki, causing him to jump out of bed.
"???"
Tsunade, who was also woken up by the scream, looked confused.
She thought, ’I was just sleeping, who did I offend to deserve this? Why such a loud scream early in the morning!’
"What happened?"
Kazuki opened the door to find Izumi standing at the guest room door with an exaggerated expression. Clearly, the scream had co from her. Kazuki never imagined that this little girl could produce such a loud sound.
"Captain, why is there a woman in your guest room? And she’s got such a good figure! If you’re going to bring a woman ho, you should at least see her off!"
Izumi felt like her worldview had been turned upside down. She had co to Kazuki’s house as usual to help with so cleaning, only to find the guest room door ajar. When she opened it, she was stunned. A beautiful blonde woman was sprawled out on the floor, her blanket kicked aside, and her bathrobe barely holding together, leaving little to the imagination. After a few seconds of shock, Izumi let out a scream, feeling like her innocence was lost.
Izumi assud Tsunade was a woman Kazuki had brought ho for fun and then stuffed into the guest room.
"What nonsense are you talking about? What do you an I brought a woman ho and didn’t send her off?" Kazuki rubbed his eyes and yawned. He hadn’t slept well, spending the night lying on a tree branch. Tsunade had it worse, having stayed up all night.
"Your girlfriend sure has a strong set of lungs. Now I understand why you weren’t welcoming ; you were afraid of misunderstandings," Tsunade muttered sleepily. She pulled the blanket over herself and continued sleeping, not caring about Izumi seeing her. After all, they were both won, and as long as Kazuki didn’t take advantage of her, it was fine.
"I’m not the captain’s girlfriend." After a few seconds, Izumi, with a flushed face, tried to explain. But Tsunade’s only response was her steady breathing.
"Seriously?" Kazuki shook his head and planned to go back to sleep. He still had to et the Hyuga clan leader later. The Hyuga clan seed to love playing the peacemaker.
"That’s not what I ant, Captain. I’m not rejecting you." Seeing Kazuki glance at her and then head back to his room, Izumi panicked, thinking her words had upset him.
"Rejecting ?" Kazuki turned around, puzzled.
"No, it’s just too sudden. I’m a bit nervous." Izumi’s face turned even redder, and she nervously twisted her hands, sweating and clutching her clothes.
"Anyway, I’ll think about it. I appreciate your feelings." With that, Izumi covered her face and ran off.
"..."
When did I express my feelings? Kazuki was baffled. Did he miss sothing? He was sure he wasn’t hallucinating, just a bit tired and slow to react. Whatever, won’s thoughts were always strange, even young girls like Izumi. Tsunade was like this, and so was Izumi. Kazuki wasn’t clueless about won, but Izumi’s sudden confession left him a bit stunned.
"Why are you back?" Uchiha Hazuki asked, puzzled as her daughter ran back ho, blushing and looking flustered.
"Mom..." Izumi felt her heart racing, almost jumping out of her throat.
"???" What happened to you? Didn’t you go to help Kazuki with cleaning? Why are you back so soon, and why is your face so red? Did sothing interesting happen? Did Kazuki co back? Thinking of this, Hazuki smirked and asked, "It seems sothing happened between you and Kazuki. Care to share with your mother?"
"No!" Izumi said, embarrassed. "Even though the captain expressed his feelings, I haven’t agreed yet."
"Oh! You haven’t agreed yet." Hazuki chuckled, teasing her daughter. "Why not? Aren’t you always talking about Kazuki? Or is it because of the age difference, or because of Itachi?"
Hazuki knew her daughter had been a little fangirl of Itachi since she was young. But ever since Izumi joined the police force and beca Kazuki’s little follower, she ntioned Itachi less and less. Now, she seed more interested in Kazuki.
"Mom, stop it. I’m not talking to you anymore." Izumi ran into her room, flustered.
Hazuki, amused, called after her, "Aren’t you going to work?"
"Oh, right." Izumi quickly composed herself, took deep breaths to calm down, and said, "Mom, I’m off to the police force."
"Go on, and rember to invite Kazuki over for a visit."
"I will," Izumi replied.
"This child," Hazuki sighed, watching her daughter leave. "So grown up, yet still so clumsy. Is there really a need to be so conflicted?"
In Hazuki’s eyes, choosing Kazuki was far better than Itachi, even though Itachi had a higher status. She preferred Kazuki, not wanting her daughter to get involved in the complications surrounding Itachi.
anwhile, Kazuki gave up trying to wake Tsunade. He had knocked on her door a few tis, but she remained stubbornly asleep. Letting her sleep in, Kazuki quickly freshened up and left for his eting. When he arrived, Hyuga Hiashi and the clan leader he was eting were already there. Hiashi had even brought his short-haired daughter, Hinata. Bringing your daughter to this kind of eting? Perhaps to broaden her horizons?
Noticing the slightly nervous Hinata, Kazuki smiled at Hiashi and said, "Hyuga clan leader, the clan leader sends his regards. The police force is swamped, so he couldn’t co personally and sent in his place."
"Much appreciated," Hiashi replied. Fugaku liked to keep a stern face due to his personality, while Hiashi did it out of necessity.
