-------------------------------------------------------------

HIs main objective of this trip to the Daimyo is to reclaim Obito’s Sharingan. Protecting the Daimyo is secondary. As for Asuma, Kazuki hopes he behaves himself, or he won’t hesitate to teach him a lesson. If he acts out too much, Kazuki might find a way to send him to et his maker.

In the original story, Asuma ran to the Daimyo to beco a bodyguard after a fight with the Third Hokage and even got brainwashed to the point of demanding the Third Hokage take orders from the Daimyo. I wonder if this amusing scenario will happen again.

The journey was smooth, with the team making rapid progress and encountering no trouble, reaching the Daimyo by nightfall. Tsunade arranged for everyone to take their positions. Kazuki, however, had a relatively easy task. He didn’t need to patrol or stand guard; his role was to oversee and command.

After assigning tasks, Tsunade went straight to the palace to see the Daimyo. As the renowned Tsunade, she didn’t need an announcent and entered the palace directly, receiving better treatnt than the Third Hokage.

Knowing Tsunade had arrived, the Daimyo imdiately ordered the removal of any inappropriate displays and items.

"Oh, Tsunade is here," he said in a peculiar, elder-like tone, causing Tsunade to bristle with irritation despite being indeed his junior.

"If I hadn’t co back, the Daimyo and Konoha would have been in chaos," Tsunade remarked. Despite their familial ties, she wisely didn’t align herself too closely with the Daimyo.

At her words, the Daimyo’s smile faded, and he began cursing, "It’s all because of that insidious Danzo! He even plotted to assassinate !"

Danzo wasn’t there to defend himself, and now that the whole of Konoha was responsible, the Daimyo felt emboldened, venting his frustration thoroughly.

"Tsunade frowned. "Daimyo, could there be so misunderstanding? Danzo wouldn’t dare commit such a heinous act."

"It must be soone trying to sow discord between Konoha and the Daimyo, intentionally leaking such information," Tsunade suggested.

"Impossible!" The Daimyo dismissed her explanation. "If it was a deliberate leak, how could they have such precise information on Root’s secrets? It must be an internal issue in Konoha."

"I have no idea," Tsunade thought, as her teacher had been investigating but found nothing.

After considering, Tsunade decided to be frank. "Daimyo, misunderstandings have occurred. Danzo is under surveillance and can’t act against you. Let’s be open about this. Prolonged tension between Konoha and the Daimyo benefits no one and makes us a laughingstock to others. Other nations’ Daimyo might pressure us to target Konoha."

"I know. I’m not foolish," the Daimyo replied. He understood that as long as the bottom line wasn’t crossed, any help offered ca with ulterior motives.

Though angry, he remained rational. "Many hope for a fallout between the Daimyo and Konoha. So attending this gathering have such intentions. But Danzo? Him! He threatened during the Fourth Hokage election, and Sarutobi promised accountability. Where’s that accountability?" The Daimyo grew angrier, recalling the unfulfilled promise.

"And what happened? Danzo remains as Hokage’s advisor, with no accountability. This ti, Danzo is dismissed, but who guarantees he won’t be reinstated?"

"I’ve had enough of Sarutobi’s evasion. If he values Danzo so much, let him fund Konoha’s developnt. Don’t co to ."

"And don’t try to deceive . My sides ha gathers significant intelligence from Konoha. I won’t be appeased again."

"Why does that old man value Danzo so much?" Tsunade pondered.

"Daimyo, what are your terms?" Tsunade asked, representing Konoha, aiming to resolve the matter smoothly. "Neither Konoha nor the Daimyo can afford delays. Let’s show mutual sincerity."

"Tsunade..." The Daimyo began.

"Stop right there!" Tsunade interjected, her frustration evident.

"State your conditions," she demanded, feeling uneasy about his affectionate address.

The Daimyo feigned thoughtfulness, then said, "I never want to see Danzo again!"

The depth of his hatred for Danzo was clear. Though Tsunade understood and supported this, she knew it was impractical. The Third Hokage could restrict Danzo but wouldn’t eliminate him to appease the Daimyo, as it would disgrace Konoha and potentially incite internal chaos.

"That’s impossible," Tsunade firmly replied. "Though flawed, Danzo was a village elder. Eliminating him would make Konoha a laughingstock and might cause internal unrest. Danzo can be monitored but not killed."

"All you ever talk about is Danzo!" The Daimyo fud. "If that’s off the table, what’s the point? Tsunade, you’re insincere."

While direct elimination was impossible, Tsunade outlined Konoha’s bottom line. "Daimyo, Danzo can’t die, but I assure you he’ll never return to power. He’ll remain in Konoha, unable to leave. Root will be dismantled gradually. Additionally, Konoha can agree to other reasonable demands."

Uninterested in partial asures, the Daimyo pondered for a mont before his eyes lit up. "If that’s the case, Konoha should support in reassembling the Twelve Guardian Ninja. This ti, Konoha must fully support and not interfere with the Daimyo affair."
