Now reading: Chapter 304 from Naruto: Stormbreaker, a Reincarnation novel by Andithegiant.

While shinobi usually used seals to bind things within, I instead wanted to keep the world out. It was a crazy idea to manually mute my chakra senses, but while I was in the village, I was safe enough. Most likely, however, if I were sent on missions, I would have to remove it.

I sighed as I looked at seal formula number 67 before I noted sothing interesting about it. It was a seal array designed to hide specific chakra signatures, like a Jonin's, from being sensed by others. I tilted my head. If I reverse engineered it so it hid external signals from my own senses, that might work. I could potentially fine tune it to prevent from sensing that specific signature while keeping the rest of the world available.

Imdiately, I opened a new empty scroll and started to break the arrays into parts. Modifying seals is a bit like salvaging parts from an old car while adding new components, making sure they synergize well, and then troubleshooting to ensure everything functions as intended. It was a pretty fun process for soone like .

I started cutting into the seal array, isolating the components responsible for specific tasks, discarding the useless ones and keeping the rest in a separate scroll. Since I had already reached an understanding of sothing as complicated as the One Tails' seal, the rest beca easier for to grasp. It was not long before I had a scroll filled with useful components and began writing my own seals based on my knowledge.

I soon had a fra, a seal array that might actually do the job. I used the chakra signature of one of the ANBU guards stationed outside the compound as a base for my trial. Entering it into the heavily modified and complicated array, I sent a chakra pulse defining his current location, activated the seal, and tried again. Then the world went silent. I could not hear or sense anything and all chakra signatures disappeared from my senses.

After a while of studying the seal and sending another pulse, I finally understood my mistake. I sensed a relatively small bubble around that prevented anything outside from being sensed. I sighed, knowing I needed to remove the barrier function from the array and make my body its own source of filtering, which would not be easy.

Ti passed as I was completely consud by my work, forgetting to find Shizuru for our walk as my mind was too occupied with this difficult puzzle, distracting from my earlier panic.

Eventually, I succeeded. I looked with a huge grin at my new creation and stuck the seal onto my body. Since I had Naruto’s chakra signature morized, I used it in the array as the target to be blocked. I activated the seal with so chakra and wanted to go to Genta’s house to test it, but it was too dark outside, maybe an hour or so before dawn.

I shook my head, knowing I would sleep late yet again. Skipping my morning routine once more made my mood worse, but creating a new seal array was a worthy reason to lose sleep. I yawned and walked to my room, falling imdiately into a dreamless slumber.

I woke up to Naruto on the ground. He was holding his head and writhing from pain while Genta was pointing at him and laughing his ass off to the point of his face turning red. I shook my head as Naruto stood up, complaining, “This hurts so much! Is it because I tried to wake up Noa? Why did you not warn , and what is this?”

Genta kept laughing, barely able to talk. “Well, I was where you are once before. It is an experience you have to go through. And it is a chakra barrier Noa created for no good reason but to show off his seal knowledge.”

I stretched as I said, “It is because you kept waking up so I can make you breakfast, even if I just ca back from a tiring mission.” Genta coughed in embarrassnt, looking to the side and suddenly being very interested in the beauty of the early morning while Naruto extended his hand carefully, finally touching the invisible barrier. His eyes widened as he was not able to go through sothing he couldn't see, saying with a wondrous tone, “That is so cool!”

I made a hand sign activating the dampening seal and then disabled the barrier, causing Naruto to stumble forward as he was leaning heavily while testing it. I caught him before his face t the floor. He looked up grinning and saw smiling as well, which made him feel better since yesterday I had a barely hidden terrified look on my face the whole ti.

I carefully sent a chakra pulse and, to my pleasure, I didn’t sense any chakra from Naruto. The smile on my face widened as Naruto asked, “Can you teach this, Noa?”

I shook my head. “That is a bit advanced for you just yet, Naruto. The first thing you should do is to learn how to control your chakra.” Naruto groaned in annoyance. “Genta and Takemura jisan said the sa as well! I want to do cool shinobi stuff.” I ruffled his bright yellow hair as I replied, “Well, chakra control is how you get to do the cool stuff, so get good at it and I promise to teach you all sorts of amazing things.”

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

A hesitant look appeared on Naruto’s face before it turned to resolve as he said, “I will do my best and be the strongest shinobi out there. Believe it!” I nodded, pleased with his tone, as I gave him a thumbs up which caused him to grin, teeth visible.

I walked to the kitchen under Genta’s constant complaining about how hungry he was. Terrifyingly, Naruto was starting to imitate him. Genta was a dangerous influence on the malleable Naruto. However, deep inside, I was ready to implent the plan I had started the day before.

In the kitchen, the light soy base had been perfectly preserved. It was savory with a balanced saltiness, designed to be light and refreshing for a morning al. I started to reheat it, adding a clean stock of dried kelp and bonito flakes to bring out a deep, clear umami. Then I carefully layered in the noodles, jammy soft-boiled eggs sliced thin, and a handful of fresh, bright green toppings. Finally, I placed the iconic white and pink swirl fishcake right on top, a finishing touch that was sure to raise Naruto’s spirits.

The mont I walked in with the huge bowls of ran, Naruto exclaid while shooting to his feet with a surprised look and enthusiastic tone, “Ran? My favorite!” Genta complained, “Ran for breakfast? Co on, Noa, that is a bit heavy.” I narrowed my eyes. “Then don’t eat it.” He stopped complaining imdiately and started slurping, clearly enjoying the light taste from the smile on his face, while Naruto was over the moon eating his favorite food. In the end, Naruto ate too much and was on the ground breathing heavily as Genta stood up.

“I have to go. We have our usual morning training for our team. Keep an eye on Naruto for until my father wakes up and cos to take him. I left a note letting him know we are here. He was too excited and overexerted himself yesterday, so he is oversleeping.” Naruto said lazily, “Take care, big brother Genta.” Genta waved him goodbye, shouting, “Don’t cause trouble for Noa!” before he left the house.

Naruto was lounging on the floor, enjoying the cool morning air and the quiet, peaceful sound of the birds. The food was light, but he had eaten so much that he slowly drifted into a nap, sprawling on the floor with his limbs everywhere and his shirt pulled up above his stomach.

With a hand seal, I deactivated the dampening seal on myself and took a deep breath. “Naruto, I promise that I will train you and cook you all sorts of amazing food in exchange for a look at the Fourth’s incredible seal work. So please, don't hold the need to learn new seals against a seal master.”

I made a hand sign and pulsed chakra into Naruto. An incredible spiral seal appeared on his stomach, ominously radiating malice and rage with a dark black hue.

The Eight Trigrams Sealing Style was a masterpiece of complexity, far beyond anything I had ever seen. It consisted of two Four Symbols Seals layered perfectly to allow the Nine Tails' chakra to leak out and rge with Naruto's own, yet the craftsmanship was so refined it felt like looking at a locked door made of solid light.

Even as it humd with the Fourth Hokage's genius, the center of the spiral felt like a cold, bottomless abyss, a cage holding back a storm of pure, hateful energy that seed to snarl back at my very soul.

I shivered as I stretched my chakra control to its limit and made a hand sign, creating six shadow clones. The chakra drain caused to almost stumble and fall, but I did not need much chakra for what ca next, and multiple clones would make the process faster.

I rolled out scrolls in front of them before we all started drawing separate parts of the seal, while one clone stayed on guard outside, making it seem like I was just enjoying the sun.

My clones knew better than to try to decipher the seal. They only copied the symbols as they were. They didn’t even try to link the different parts or figure out how the components functioned, as I did not want to die from any potential kickback.

Unlike the One Tail, the Nine Tails' gaze was much more horrifying. He sensed that I was doing sothing, but since I wasn’t intervening with the seal itself, he didn't have a chance to influence too much. Still, the exposure to his gaze was more than enough to cause to tremble and shake. I kept my hands steady, fighting against the increasing panic building inside my stomach. Death was staring in the eyes, and I had to keep looking.

Eventually, after almost two hours, my clones and I were done copying the seal and all its complicated parts. I was a ss as I dropped the brush. My hands were now shaking violently as I felt the effects of prolonged exposure to such ominous chakra. I dispelled all the shadow clones, activated my dampening seal, stored all the scrolls using my hand seal, and flickered to the bathroom, imdiately throwing up for a few torturous minutes.

I dropped to the bathroom floor feeling weak, hands still shaking and eyes sunken. My shirt was completely wet with sweat as I stayed on the cold bathroom floor for so ti.

After a few deep breaths and a short ditation session, I was able to stand up. Taking a quick shower and changing, I walked out to find Naruto still asleep. I went to the kitchen and returned with two cups of hot chocolate.

I shook Naruto gently. He woke up yawning, and after looking around in confusion, he realized where he was and chuckled in embarrassnt. “Sorry, Noa. I did not sleep good yesterday. I am not used to this place yet.”

I waved my hands in dismissal and said with a tired tone, “Do not worry about it. Here, I prepared sothing for you.” Naruto looked at the hot chocolate cups, waking up imdiately as he almost shouted, “Noa, you are amazing!” I smiled, feeling a bit guilty but promising myself to make it up to him.
