"..." Kaguya lost her composure. Panic showed on her face before she could hide it.
Manji noticed every bit of it. He smiled as he walked toward her. "You planned to use Black Zetsu to complete your resurrection, didn't you?"
Kaguya watched him draw closer. His face was close. He looked smug and annoyingly good at it.
Her heart stalled. She had never imagined Manji would see through every layer of her plan.
Which ant Black Zetsu had failed... Maybe Manji had sealed him away quickly, or just erased him without a sound.
Kaguya pushed down her nerves and looked up at him. Her voice stayed cold, but there was a hint of strain. "How did you know?"
"Why do you ask so many questions?" Manji lifted a brow, his tone careless. "That part doesn't concern you. Once Black Zetsu returns, we'll go unlock the restriction together."
"Returns?" Kaguya frowned, suspicion in her eyes. She thought Black Zetsu was already in Manji's hands, so his answer surprised her. "He can still move? I thought you would have imprisoned him or killed him."
Manji only let out a low chuckle. aning flickered through his eyes, but he said nothing.
Black Zetsu could still move, and now he was almost acting as Manji's own will.
Kaguya grew more confused at his mysterious silence and could not help asking, "Then where is Black Zetsu now?"
Manji's gaze shifted. His figure moved slightly, and his lips parted as he answered at an unhurried pace. "He should be..."

"Tsuru! South! Go south!"
In the forest, Black Zetsu was busy guiding Senju Tsuru through the trees, trying to keep things from getting worse.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
Explosions ripped through the forest again and again. Shockwaves sent wood and dust flying, hitting Tsuru's back.
"Move!"
Tsuru ran for his life.
"Wind Style: Wind Barrage!" A roar ca from behind him.
Several blue-green wind blades ripped through the air and shot toward his back.
The wind blades tore through branches, stripped away leaves, and cut deep marks in the ground.
"This is not good!!" Tsuru's pupils shrank.
At the last mont, Black Zetsu's power surged inside him. An unseen force yanked him sideways, just barely out of the wind blades' path. His sleeve tore, and the wind nearly tossed him into the blast.
"Sage! That was amazing!" Tsuru imdiately realized Black Zetsu had moved him.
Black Zetsu stayed calm, keeping his senses sharp.
"Sage! How long are we supposed to keep running? If this keeps up, why don't we kill a few of the pursuers first? That has to be better than getting chased like this!" Tsuru shouted to Black Zetsu while sprinting for his life.
Black Zetsu frowned. He sensed two strong chakra signatures coming from different directions.
"No. The two clan heads are approaching," Black Zetsu said, his voice heavy.
"The two clan heads??" Tsuru's steps faltered, and his face went white.
His father was the strongest mber of the Senju Clan, yet even he struggled against the Uchiha clan leader. Now, two formidable enemies approaching—his father might not survive this fight. How could Tsuru possibly hope to stand a chance?
"It's over... It's like the world wants dead..." His voice grew weak, and he almost tripped. "Even my father might not survive. What chance do I have? I just finished training..."
"Don't sell yourself short." Black Zetsu's voice turned steady. "With here, I'll keep you alive."
Before he left the mountain, the Grand Sage had set strict rules.
He couldn't use the Mayfly Technique to escape with Tsuru, but he could still protect and strengthen him as much as possible.

Tsuru glanced at the forest ahead, then at the enemies getting closer behind him. He was out of options.
He drew a deep breath and nodded hard to Black Zetsu inside his mind. "I TRUST YOU, SAGE!"
The two had barely settled on that when two figures burst out of the dense forest ahead.
2 Uchiha clansn—they wore clan uniforms, their red Sharingan eyes fixed on Tsuru with cold focus.
"Stop running!" One of them shouted. His Sharingan glowed, and a strange genjutsu took hold right away.
"Damn it!" Tsuru's pupils shrank. He tried to close his eyes on instinct.
But the genjutsu was already in place. The world spun, and it felt like he was falling into darkness.
Just as he thought the illusion would take over, warm chakra surged inside him, creating a barrier that blocked the genjutsu.
"Tsuru, steady... With attached to you, you're immune to genjutsu and ordinary sealing techniques." Black Zetsu's voice sounded beside his ear.
Tsuru ca back to his senses. His body felt lighter, and the dizziness was gone. Joy surged through him, and he could not help shouting in his heart.
The 2 Uchiha stopped in their tracks. Their cruel expressions turned to shock.
They looked at each other, both in disbelief.
"..." Sharingan genjutsu had no effect on him? "What?? Why didn't the Sharingan genjutsu work?"
They didn't have ti to think. Both drew their tantō, the blades flashing as they swung at Tsuru's neck and side.
Tsuru reacted quickly. He drew his blade in a flash and twisted his wrist, making a tight arc in front of him.
"Coming through!" With a quick shout, he used his speed to dart forward, slipping through the narrow gap between the two Uchiha blades.
Clang! Clang!
Two crisp impacts rang out.
Tsuru's short blade struck both weapons with precision.
A burst of force ran down the blade, pushing the two Uchiha back. Their hands went numb, and their swords almost slipped from their grip.
After regaining their balance, they stared at Tsuru running away, even more shocked.
That sword style was clean and full of control... Why did it look so much like the Hatake Clan's sword technique? Was this kid a disguised Hatake?
Tsuru had no ti to care what they were thinking. After forcing them back, he did not slow for even a second and kept fleeing south.
Just then, a woman's voice called out from above, sounding both arrogant and teasing as it broke through the forest noise—
"I'll be coming through too!"
Before the words fully landed, a figure descended from the sky.
It was Uchiha Sa.
She dropped down, moving so fast there was no afterimage, and landed right in front of Tsuru. Without hesitation, she moved, her tantō flashing silver as she slashed at Tsuru's shoulder.
'Too fast!' Tsuru's heart jumped. Black Zetsu warned him at the sa ti, but even though he saw the attack coming, his body couldn't react fast enough.
Just before the blade touched his shoulder—
Black Zetsu moved again.
He forced Tsuru's body to twist left with everything he had.
Shhk!
The blade scraped past Tsuru's shoulder and drew a thin line of blood, but it failed to cut deep.
Uchiha Sa's strike missed.
She paused, her red Sharingan eyes narrowing in shock. She had attacked without warning, and she was known as the fastest in the Shinobi world—yet this ordinary-looking Senju had dodged?
Her speed was known as the fastest in the Shinobi world.
Uchiha Sa snorted to herself, a hint of irritation on her lips. "Hmph. I should've kept my mouth shut..."
