--------------------------------------------------

"I hereby declare Ninshū dissolved!"

"Our mbers have developed different interpretations, different beliefs, different visions for the future. We will not force unity where none exists. Go. Find your own paths."

The speaker stood on the elevated platform at the center of Ninshū's great plaza. The Fourth Leader of Ninshū, dressed in the formal regalia of the Senju Clan, delivered the words that ended an era.

"I, the Fourth Leader of Ninshū, officially dissolve this order!"

The instant the declaration landed, the plaza erupted.

Not in grief. Not in protest.

In celebration.

Cheers loud enough to push the clouds shook the air and didn't stop. Every face in the crowd was bright with genuine, uncomplicated joy. Eyes shining with excitent for what ca next.

Everyone had seen this coming. Everyone had been waiting for it.

The old world was finished. Sothing new was about to begin.

"The Hyūga Clan declares independence!"

"The Nara Clan declares independence!"

"The Uzumaki Clan declares independence!"

"The Sarutobi Clan declares independence!"

One after another, clan leaders stepped forward, chins high, voices ringing with pride. Each one gathered their people and marched out of the plaza toward a different horizon, footsteps light, spirits unburdened.

"Hahaha!"

The Senju leader grinned wide, waved to his own people, and led the Senju contingent away from the grounds that had housed Ninshū for generations.

In the midst of all that noise and movent, one small figure stood perfectly still.

A boy. Senju Shūichi.

He looked up at the dispersing crowds with wide, unblinking eyes. Watched the clans peel away in every direction. Watched the plaza grow emptier and quieter with each passing minute.

Two lines of tears rolled down his cheeks without warning. He didn't make a sound.

"Huh? Shūichi? Why are you crying?"

An Uzumaki kid about his age tilted his head sideways, confused.

"I..."

Shūichi blinked, startled by his own tears. His hand went to his face. Fingertips ca back wet and warm.

Why was he crying?

He didn't care about Ninshū. He'd never felt any particular attachnt to the order, never thought of it as sothing worth preserving.

But watching it end, sothing in his chest ached so sharply it stole his breath. A pain that didn't belong to him. Like a wound in a place he couldn't see or reach.

As if his soul itself was grieving.

He shook his head, voice still thick. "I... don't know."

"Well, good riddance! No more being stuck with all those weirdos. From now on, every clan does its own thing. Freedom!"

The Uzumaki kid bounced on his heels, practically vibrating with excitent.

Shūichi wiped his eyes. "Where's the Uzumaki Clan heading?"

"We're going to an island! Southeast, there's an uninhabited one sitting in the ocean. That's our new ho!"

The kid bead, chest puffed out with pride.

"An island..."

Shūichi filed that away quietly. Tucked it into a corner of his mory where it would stay.

After that day, Ninshū, which had endured for centuries, vanished from the face of the earth.

..............

Mount Myōboku.

When the news arrived, Manji stood on Longevity Peak for a long ti, looking at nothing in particular. Then he composed a verse.

"A thousand-year altar scatters in a single dawn, Each clan sets forth on roads unknown. Where once they built their dreams as one, Only wind and mory remain."

It had been barely fifteen years since Sarutobi's death. Sixty years since Asura's passing. Only a century since Hagoromo himself had closed his eyes for the last ti.

One hundred years. That was all it took to unmake everything the Sage of Six Paths had spent his life building.

Ti really could change anything.

Sarutobi had fought to his last breath defending Ninshū, never once imagining that its end would co not from the Uchiha's blades but from its own people quietly deciding they'd rather be sowhere else.

..............

Deep inside Mount Myōboku's Historical Records Hall.

The sll of old paper and dried ink hung permanently in the air. Stacks of yellowing manuscripts covered every surface.

Black Zetsu and Fukasaku sat hunched over their respective desks when the report arrived.

Both pens stopped moving at the sa ti.

A long silence.

"Well. Another piece of history witnessed firsthand."

Fukasaku set down his brush and turned his aged body toward the window, gazing in the general direction of where Ninshū used to stand.

Mount Myōboku had been watching the world change since before the word "shinobi" existed. And here they were again, recording another chapter's end.

Black Zetsu stared at the half-finished page before him. Let out a slow, heavy exhale.

"Inevitable. Absolutely inevitable. History's wheel rolls forward and nothing gets to stand in its way. Aside from the Grand Sage's Six Paths faith, everything in this world eventually gets swept into the dustbin."

Years ago, hearing that Ninshū had collapsed would have made Black Zetsu grin. He would've savored it. But decades of sitting in this room, recording the rise and fall of civilizations with his own hand, had burned away the old pettiness. What remained was sothing closer to perspective.

"The grand era of Ninshū... it's really over."

They looked at each other. Said the sa thing at the sa ti. Then both picked up their brushes, dipped them in fresh ink, and began writing on clean scrolls. This chapter of history deserved to be recorded properly.

..............

Miles away, atop a windswept mountain, two figures stood silhouetted against the sky.

The Uchiha Clan leader gazed out across the landscape, watching the various clan contingents fan outward in every direction like seeds scattered from an open hand. His eldest son, Uchiha Senichi, stood at his side.

"Father. Ninshū is finished." Senichi's voice was carefully neutral, but sothing complicated lurked beneath the surface.

The clan leader threw his head back and laughed. Full-throated. Triumphant.

"This is the best news I've heard in my entire life!"

His eyes followed the dispersing clans, bright with satisfaction.

"My grandfather made promise on his deathbed. Destroy Ninshū. Those were his final words to . And now it's done. When we get ho, we celebrate. Full honors to the Sage of Six Paths. Full honors to our ancestors."

Nobody present knew that this jubilant clan leader was the sa child who'd stood in the snow decades ago, tugging at Indra's cloak, watching his grandfather collapse into the white for the last ti.

Across the span of a lifeti, he'd fulfilled the dying wish of a man who'd never learned to let go.

"Let's move. A new era starts today."

..............

Five years passed like a held breath released.

A clear river wound through gentle countryside, its banks lined with swaying grass that whispered in the breeze.

Two boys arrived at the riverbank from opposite directions, drawn by sothing neither could na. They stood facing each other across the shallow water, the air between them carrying a charge that had nothing to do with the weather.

Senju Shūichi picked up a leaf, flicked it onto the current, and watched it drift. His expression was open, friendly.

"Hey. I'm Shūichi. What's your na?"

The boy across from him had sharper features. Darker eyes. The unmistakable bearing of the Uchiha bloodline, pride threaded through every line of his posture. He plucked a red leaf from a low branch, tossed it into the water alongside Shūichi's, and answered in a voice that was cool and clean.

"Senichi."

Silence.

Senju Shūichi and Uchiha Senichi stared at each other across the river.

And in that single mont of eye contact, sothing vast and ancient stirred beneath the surface. A current older than either of them. Older than their clans. Older than Ninshū itself.

The old altar crumbles, the landscape transforms.

Two boys et where the chaos begins.

The Ninshū Era was over. Truly, completely, irrevocably over.

Across the land, dozens of shinobi clans were planting flags, claiming territory, building walls.

The Great and Terrible Age of Warring Clans had begun.
