"Lord Nine-Tails."
Kurama raised his head and looked toward Namikaze Minato.
Recently, after getting used to speaking with him, Minato had started addressing him like this more and more often.
How should he put it…
Kurama did not particularly dislike Minato's politeness.
After all, in Kurama's mories, Minato was still the culprit who had split him into two halves and sealed them separately without hesitation.
Even with Naruto acting as a bridge between them, it was better not to beco overly familiar.
"What is it? Shouldn't you be preparing today's lesson for Naruto already?"
"There's still so ti before Naruto usually falls asleep."
Minato looked into Kurama's impatient beast-like eyes and hesitated briefly before continuing:
"There are a few things I wanted to ask you."
"In the future you described before… the one who fought alongside Naruto was Uchiha Sasuke."
"That's right."
Kurama lazily recalled the past.
"Although he caused plenty of trouble at first, when powerful enemies appeared, only the two of them—the ones who received the Sage of Six Paths' power—were truly capable of fighting."
Then Kurama glanced at Minato teasingly.
"When facing Uchiha Madara and Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, you were revived and joined the battle too…"
"But you weren't much help."
"...I see."
Minato smiled bitterly.
"Then future really was quite unreliable."
Yet inwardly, his heart tightened.
Kurama had already explained earlier that his future self had been revived through the Second Hokage's forbidden technique: Edo Tensei.
According to Kurama, his combat ability after resurrection had not been much weaker than when he was alive.
Even so…
he still had not been able to accomplish much?
"Hmph. So what exactly are you trying to ask?"
Sensing Minato's thoughts through his ability to perceive negative emotions, Kurama interrupted his contemplation directly.
"Ah, sorry."
Minato quickly regained focus before apologizing.
"What I wanted to ask about… is the Uchiha Clan."
"In your description of the future, Obito, Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Madara, and Uchiha Sasuke all beca enemies of Konoha at certain points…"
"But there was never any ntion of other Uchiha clan mbers trying to stop them or resolve things…"
"Because they all died."
Kurama answered bluntly.
And that answer—
even though Minato had vaguely anticipated sothing like it—
was still difficult for him to accept.
"Why…?"
"No, who did it?"
"Hmph. How would I know?"
Kurama clearly had little interest in the matter.
"Wouldn't it be better if all those Sharingan brats died off anyway?"
He had never possessed any favorable impression toward humans with Sharingan.
After all, that mutated bloodline inherited from the Sage of Six Paths had the ability to control tailed beasts.
There was nothing about it that Kurama could possibly like.
As the tailed beast who had suffered the most under that power, Kurama still vividly rembered how delighted he had been upon learning that the Uchiha Clan had been exterminated.
"Then… when did it happen?"
Minato asked heavily.
"When?"
Kurama paused.
To him, such trivial matters were hardly worth rembering.
Perhaps the Uchiha Clan was important to Konoha.
But only to humans.
The rise and fall of human clans ant nothing to Kurama.
Even the once-nearly-invincible Senju Clan had vanished into history.
So what?
"Let think…"
"Oh right."
"It should've happened around the ti Naruto entered the Ninja Academy."
"There was a period where everyone around him kept talking about the Uchiha Clan nonstop, which was annoying enough for to rember."
"So it should've been around then."
"Then that ans… two years from now?"
Minato calculated quickly, his expression tightening.
"If that's the case, then there should still be ti to ease the conflict. Lord Third Hokage… during these next few years…"
"Minato."
Suddenly—
an overwhelming pressure descended upon him.
The crushing force was almost irresistible.
Minato's body slamd down to one knee instantly as his expression twisted.
Kurama's massive eyes narrowed behind the cage bars.
The lazy, approachable atmosphere he had maintained over the past year vanished completely.
Anyone seeing him now would only feel one thing—
fear.
"I don't know what you're trying to do, and frankly, I don't care."
"You're Naruto's father. I trust you won't harm him."
"But…"
Kurama's enormous eyes radiated terrifying pressure.
"Do not try to use your own ideals to push Naruto into doing aningless things."
"For example…"
"Saving those worthless Uchiha."
"Maybe you think the Sharingan could beco a way to restrain ."
"But that's aningless."
The crimson chakra surrounding Minato suddenly surged violently, materializing into fox-shaped restraints that tightly bound his limbs.
He could not even raise his head.
"Any change you make that does not directly benefit Naruto…"
"Only increases the danger surrounding him."
"You know absolutely nothing…"
"about the Ōtsutsuki Clan."
The pressure vanished.
Minato imdiately gasped for breath.
Though this body could not sweat, under normal circumstances he would already be drenched.
"Kurama…"
"Why are you… this strong?"
Minato's heart shook violently.
The pressure and chakra he had sensed in that instant—
if his perception had not failed him—
ant that the current Kurama, despite possessing only half his original body, already far surpassed the full-strength Nine-Tails Minato rembered from the past.
"I understand."
Yet Minato quickly forced himself calm.
As a top-tier ninja, his ntal resilience showed itself completely.
By the ti he raised his head again, his expression had already returned to normal, without the slightest visible trace of agitation.
"Oh, I rembered sothing else."
Seeing Minato regain composure so quickly, Kurama returned to his lazy posture, lying behind the bars as though nothing had happened.
"It should've been Uchiha Sasuke's older brother who did it."
"Uchiha Itachi."
"Though he was probably following soone else's orders…"
"But still."
"That's insane even by human standards."
Uchiha…
Itachi?
Minato rembered him.
Fugaku's son.
Which ant—
"It's about ti. Naruto's asleep."
Kurama reminded him casually.
Then the dreamscape began spreading outward.
As the world distorted—
both Kurama's and Minato's figures disappeared from the sealed space once more.
