Naruto watched as Kumo's forces left while he retracted Kurumi's Chakra into his body.
'Is it bad that I feel a bit disappointed that the battle didn't happen?' Naruto thought to himself, as Kurumi's Chakra had fully returned to his body, making his body return to normal.
'Don't turn to a battle maniac, brat. And that feeling mainly manifested from the effect of my Chakra. My Chakra is filled to the brim with bloodlust, and you can't fully control my Chakra yet.' Kurumi replied
'There is sothing else, though. It seed that when you use my chakra, the seal weakens a little bit, but at the sa ti, your body adapts to my chakra even more.' Kurumi said with slight fascination and intrigue as she looked at the seal gate in front of her.
'Really? I will have to take a close look at it when we return to Konoha.' Naruto replied
"Naruto-kun, are you ok, my boy?" Ca Hiruzen's voice as he looked at Naruto's unfocused eyes.
Hiruzen was approaching the frontlines fast when he felt the familiar and dreaded feeling of the Kyuubi's Chakra. He assud the worst as he sped more to reach the battlefield.
When he reached the frontline, he was quite relieved that the fighting hadn't happened yet, especially with the Raikage already present.
"Yes, I am fine, Saru-sensei," Naruto replied, turning to look at Hiruzen.
"Why did you use the Kyuubi's chakra, gaki (brat)? You almost gave a heart attack while I was standing beside you." Jiraiya said with a bit of irritation.
"I felt sensei approaching, but he was still a bit far. So, I used Kyuubi's chakra as a surprise and shock factor to stop them in their tracks for so ti, so that Sensei can arrive, especially since the Raikage was about to go off. All in all, I think it ended on a very good note." Naruto finished with a shrug.
"You know that now they know you are the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki. And soon the other villages will know." Jiraiya said
"It is bound to happen eventually. Now that it happened, I don't think it is all that bad." Hiruzen said as he turned to look at the gathered Konoha Shinobi, who seed to be celebrating in a victorious atmosphere.
"We did it."
"Take that, you Kumo bastards."
"That shows you to never miss with us."
"Long live, Hokage-sama."
"Ok, Ok. Quiet down, all of you." Hiruzen said, making the Shinobi gradually go quiet.
"I know that you all are happy, but this isn't over yet. What we have now is a temporary ceasefire that can be broken at any mont. So, keep your guard and vigilance up until we establish a real treaty this ti around." Hiruzen said, smothering the joyful atmosphere quite a bit.
"Now, which regint was fighting in yesterday's battle?" Hiruzen asked
"It was and Reiko, along with the third regint, sensei," Naruto replied.
"Ok, you, along with your regint, are dismissed. Go back to the base and rest. You earned it." Hiruzen said to Naruto, to which Naruto nodded before he started traveling back to the base, followed by Reiko and what remained of the third regint.
"The rest reinforce this position and keep a lookout. Another regint will be sent to reinforce and take so of your places soon." Hiruzen said
"Hai, Hokage-sama." The Shinobi replied in unison
"Good. Jiraiya, you are coming back to the base with . You too, Hiashi, Tsu." Hiruzen said as he started to move towards the base.
A while later, in Konoha's main base;
As Naruto and his regint returned to the base, the Shinobi dispersed wherever they wanted. So went to eat, but most went to sleep. Leaving Naruto and Reiko standing together.
"Reiko, what are you going to do now?" Naruto asked
"I will go clean up and rest a bit. What about you?" Reiko replied
"I will go clean up and change my clothes before going to see my mum. If you need , you know where to find ." Naruto said before disappearing in a body flicker.
He didn't feel that there was a need to go and brief Shikaku on the situation. Shikaku can grasp the situation better by hearing it from Jirayia and Hiruzen, who are a few seconds away from reaching the base.
Fifteen minutes later, in the base hospital;
Naruto, now freshened up and in a new set of clothes, approached the base hospital.
As Naruto entered the base's hospital, which consisted of a huge tent with multiple smaller ones around it, he could see a lot of the third Regint's shinobi that have been injured getting treatnt or had already been treated and were resting.
Naruto then made his way towards where he felt his mother's chakra. He reached a section that seed reserved for critical cases, which was busy with a lot of groaning and moaning of pain coming from inside, as dical personnel went in and out to perform various tasks.
As he entered, he spotted his mother and Shizune moving between patients.
"Hey, mum, Shizune-nee-san." Naruto greeted, announcing his presence.
"Naruto," Tsunade said as her face brightened with relief upon seeing him safe and sound.
"Welco back, Naruto-kun," Shizune said with a smile as she continued to work.
"Let help you while we talk," Naruto said as he went to a corner to disinfect his hands and put on gloves.
And with gloves on, he approached a patient who seed to have a hole in his abdon that was still bleeding.
"What is his status?" Naruto asked a nurse nearby.
"He ca with an impaled wound, Naruto-sama. It was a thick tree branch that we were able to get out, but it left too many fragnts inside him, and we can't stop his bleeding." The nurse said.
"Ok, help put a scrub on. I will see what I can do." Naruto said, to which the nurse nodded before rushing to get a sterile scrub. Naruto is pretty sure that this shinobi was struck by fast flying debris carried by the shockwave of the Bijuudama.
"So what happened? With you back, I can assu Kumo's Jinchuuriki was pulled back since one is already captured." Tsunade asked as Naruto was helped into the scrub that the nurse brought.
"Sensei is here. We were able to get a temporary ceasefire." Naruto said, shocking those who heard him. A ceasefire? This quickly.
"Get clean cotton and forceps," Naruto ordered the stunned nurse as he started to work on his patient, making her blink before getting what he ordered.
"How did it happen?" Tsunade asked with so astonishnt in her tone.
So for the next hour or so, Naruto gave his mother the details from when he was first sent to the battlefield until now while working on his patient.
"Let's hope that this will be the end of it." Tsunade said
"It will depend really on how the new negotiation will go, but let's have so optimism about it as we have most of the cards," Naruto said as he pulled out the last wood chip from his patient and added it to the many others in a nearby tray.
