A few monts earlier;
Orange-red Chakra burst out of the prone form of Naruto and coated his form. Naruto's right arm moved outward and pressed downward on the sandy ground as if he were trying to help himself up. But that seed to be unnecessary as the liquid-like chakra around him pushed his prone body onto his feet, making him turn from lying on the ground onto his feet in a mont.
Naruto's eyes, now blood red and slitted, locked on Kakuzu and Hidan before another burst of Chakra ca from within him. It was strong enough to cause a web-like crack in the remnant of the earth wall under his feet and throw huge amounts of sand around him into the air, forming a stronger sandstorm inside the still ongoing sandstorm, which hid him from the eyes of Kakuzu and Hidan.
...….
ROOOAAAAAAR
A deep, deafening roar sounded across the desert and the sandstorm.
The feeling of the imnsely strong and violent chakra can be felt from the source.
Kakuzu's eyes were glued to where Naruto was behind the sand curtain, ntally preparing himself to face what was about to erge.
Hidan was smiling maniacally. The imnse chakra that he was feeling didn't make him afraid; instead, he felt excited. Muttering to himself about worthy sacrifices for his lord.
(He has a lot of loose screw in his head.)
As the flying sand that hid the source of chakra disappeared, a small, shallow crater appeared.
It looked like sothing exploded here, with the remnants of the earth walls that were there long gone.
In the middle of the crater, a humanoid fox creature stood on all fours with four tails pointed nacingly slightly upwards at where the creature's head was pointing. Its body was covered by a dark red, nearly black layer of chakra enveloping it. The only distinct facial feature was the two white glowing eyes and the glowing white mouth, with terrifying serrated teeth, that was wide open and facing upwards.
But that wasn't what Kakuzu was worried about. What he was worried about, that which sent chills of fear and dread up his spine, was the huge, deep purple, almost black, sphere that was forming in front of the creature.
The ball gave off an imnse feeling of death and absolute destruction. And the horrifying part was that the huge ball was still getting bigger as the humanoid creature was feeding it with small white-blue and black balls of Chakra.
Kakuzu knew what that huge ball was; being alive for this long, he had quite the knowledge. Seeing that the ball was almost fully ford, with no ti to stop it or safely intercept, he turned around and disappeared in a burst of speed with his masks trying to catch up.
"Oy Kakuzu, where are you going, you bastard?" Hidan shouted at nothing but air as Kakuzu was trying to make as much distance as possible.
Hidan looked back at the humanoid creature, only for an emotion he had forgotten to appear in his heart. If even Kakuzu prioritizes escape, how deadly is this attack?
For once, Hidan used the little bit of sanity he had left and rushed after Kakuzu.
Back with the humanoid creature, it stopped fueling the massive, nacing ball with chakra; instead, it started to compress it, which seed to push the creature down into the sand as the ball grew smaller and smaller.
As soon as the ball reached a size slightly smaller than the creature, the creature aid and shot the ball in the direction where Kakuzu and Hidan fled.
Since the creature's position was lower than the surrounding area, the speeding ball t the edge of the sandy crater. That seed to do nothing against the nacing ball as it cleaved through the sands, slitting the dunes as it sped in its intended direction at breakneck speeds.
For a few silent seconds that seed like an eternity, nothing seed to happen.
But then a bright light appeared, shining through and illuminating the surrounding sandstorm.
And almost ten seconds later....
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
The sound of the explosion along the shock wave that carried sand reached the creature that was looking in the direction of the explosion, with its tails now moving nacingly behind it.
The strength of the explosion was so strong that it decimated the sandstorm, pushing dust particles through the air and the sky at high speeds as it rushed at and past the humanoid fox.
In the middle, the explosion was dying down, but the aftereffects of the explosion were now visible as huge amounts of residual heat, dust, and smoke had ford a massive cloud that climbed up through the air and the sandstorm.
ROOOOAAAAAAAAR
The humanoid fox looked up before letting out a deafening roar for one last ti, before the deep, red, almost black chakra started to subside, showing Naruto's face and body. The chakra was pulled back to the seal on Naruto's abdon, before he fell to his knees.
Naruto was breathing heavily; each breath was labored with gasping and gurgling sounds, but it wasn't because of the transformation, as his body could handle it, and Kurumi was willingly giving him her chakra. The real issue was the injuries Hidan had inflicted on him.
There was residual foreign chakra left in the wounds, preventing him from healing properly. Even Kurumi's liquid-like red chakra was surrounding the wounds, trying to fully heal him, but was obstructed by the foreign chakra. All of Kurumi's chakra could do successfully was limit Naruto's bleeding, which was still happening as the wounds were still open and bleeding beneath his clothes and flak jacket.
Naruto looked around him for a second before pushing his senses to the maximum.
A couple of monts later, after feeling no one in tens of kiloters in proximity, Naruto slightly struggles to form a single hand sign. While the injuries to his legs wouldn't be much of a problem to him, as they were mostly wounds to flesh and muscle, the wound in his abdon is a different story. Two of his major organs are pierced, which, along with internal and external bleeding, is causing massive problems to his other organs and his whole body.
...….
While Naruto is still struggling, the huge explosion didn't go unnoticed. The huge mushroom-like cloud of dust and smoke that extended high up in the sky was seen by Konoha and Suna Shinobi stationed on the east and west borders of the Land of Rivers.
It was also seen by the lookouts on the wall of Suna, which caused slight panic and an unsettling feeling to Suna's governing body when they got the news.
