"Look who just woke up," Naruto said, putting his plate down and standing up as Anko's eyes fluttered open.
"Wakey wakey sleeping beauty." Naruto joked as he stood beside Anko's bed.
"W.wher….(cough)(cough)" Anko asked with a hoarse voice before having a coughing fit.
"Easy, girl, you are in the infirmary. You were in a bad shape." Naruto said as he held up Anko's head and gave her a bit of water.
After she drank her fill, Naruto let her head back down gently before weaving hand signs and hovering his hands above Anko's chest and abdon. Gentle light green chakra seeped from Naruto's stretched hands as he checked on Anko.
"I lost badly, didn't I?" Anko muttered as she looked at her bandaged body. Naruto didn't reply as he continued to check on her—no need to rub salt on the wound.
"What happened after I was down?" Anko asked, looking at Naruto.
"The dical staff did a bad job trying to stabilize you, so I stepped in. I didn't see the two matches after yours as I was busy with you. Then I had my match, and there was a match after mine. Now, the remaining is the final match between and Yugito." Naruto said as he put two fingers on Anko's neck after he stopped the Chakra flow.
"You are now as good as new. Just take it easy for the next few days or so, so that your body returns to normal." Naruto said as he lifted his hand away from Anko before pulling his chair near Anko's bed and sitting down.
"What happened to the guy that I fought? He should have faced you." Anko asked, looking at Naruto.
"Let's just say he isn't having a fun ti." Naruto replied with a bit of a savage grin on his face, making Anko have a small smile.
"Thank you, Naruto. For everything." Anko said with gratitude
"Don't ntion it. That is what teammates are for." Naruto replied with a small smile
Anko opened her mouth to say sothing else, but was stopped when a loud rumble ca from her stomach, making her face flush red.
"Soone is hungry," Naruto said with a small chuckle as he picked up the scroll containing Anko's food.
Naruto pulls a bed table in front of Anko before unsealing the scroll's contents on it, revealing a plate containing several fillets of Salmon grilled to perfection and a bowl of different types of berries and another of cut vegetables.
"Take it easy. Your wounds may be closed, but they are still tender. So take care." Naruto said as he helped Anko sit in front of the table.
"What about that plate?" Anko asked as she spotted another plate on the nearby table (Naruto's plate). Even though she is hungry, she still doesn't like vegetables.
"That is my curry, and that is off the table for you. That food is too heavy for a recovering patient. And I know what you are doing. You are going to eat all that is in front of you so you can recover properly." Naruto said with finality in his tone.
Still, Anko gave the bowl of vegetables a stink eye, making Naruto sigh.
"If you eat all your food, I will give you so Dango." Naruto offered.
Naruto had to stop himself from facepalming because as soon as he said that, Anko started eating with the vigor of a man stranded in a desert and found water.
"Oh, seems soone is energetic after waking up." Tsunade's voice ca from the entrance of the infirmary, making Naruto and Anko look at her. They saw her entering along with Jiraiya.
"Sothing slls nice in here," Jiraiya comnted
"Hey, mum, ero-sennin," Naruto said as he felt nobody other than them around
"You really aren't going to change that nickna?" Jiraiya asked with bewildernt
"I don't think so," Naruto said with a cheeky smirk.
"Did you guys have lunch?" Naruto asked
"No, these Kumo shinobi have no sense of hospitality to guests," Tsunade said with a huff
"Sensei and the Raikage kept silent most of the ti without leaving the booth. They only discussed who is eligible for promotions, and that was it. Even Killer Bee felt bored and left with his students." Jiraiya said as he and Tsunade took a seat on the nearby couch.
Hearing this, Naruto prepared two plates of curry and rice before giving them to his mother and her teammate.
"Thanks, Naru/brat." Tsunade and Jiraiya said as they received their plates.
"Naruto, my Dango." Naruto heard Anko say. He sweatdropped after seeing how fast she ate and how clean her plates were.
"Fine, fine. You Dango addict," Naruto said with a sigh as he unsealed so before giving it to her. Anko munched her Dango happily with a contented smile on her face.
"This is really good. Where did you get this from?" Jiraiya asked as he could see the large pots of rice and curry. Where does soone get this amount from?
"I made it myself," Naruto replied simply
"Oh really?" Jiraiya asked. He doesn't believe that.
"Yes, really. He cooks better than ." Tsunade said with a tone filled with pride and embarrassnt
"You Cook????!!!" Jiraiya asked with a tone filled with disbelief
"Yeah, mum cooks. Her food is quite good," Naruto replied with slight confusion in his voice.
"Now that I won't believe until I see with my own two eyes. Tsunade, cooking. Hell must have frozen over." Jiraiya huffed as he continued to eat.
"Is it that hard to believe, Jiraiya-sama?" Anko asked, looking confused
"You two have to know. Tsunade had never cooked anything before, and anyti she entered the kitchen, it ended in a disaster. There was one ti when Mito-sama was still alive, before the second Shinobi War, when she asked Tsunade to heat so water for tea. Simple right? Apparently not. The Senju clan mbers at that ti had to flood the kitchen with Water jutsu as it was roaring with intense fire." Jiraiya said, making Tsunade blush in embarrassnt as Naruto and Anko looked at her with disbelief.
"You didn't have to bring that up," Tsunade said with embarrassnt.
"Tsunade, Mito-sama banned you from ever entering the kitchen again. So, excuse if I find it hard to believe that you can cook." Jiraiya replied.
Tsunade looked away, embarrassed. She was really bad at cooking. It took her months of trial and error to make a decent, simple al without burning sothing or hurting herself. Additionally, she was pregnant with Naruto at the ti, making the whole experience even more stressful.
