In the middle of the arena;
Dull thuds and slap sounds could be heard as Naruto and Yugito traded blow after blow using Taijutsu.
From the stands, it seed that they were on equal grounds, but Yugito knew better.
'His attacks are fast and heavy at the sa ti. Even though I block them, they leave their mark. I can't dodge all of them as his attacks are in quick succession. I need a change of pace.' Yugito said to herself as she jumped away from Naruto while weaving hand seals.
'Katon, Nezumi Kedama (Fire style, Mouse hairball)'
From Yugito's mouth ca out four small blue fireballs that quickly took the form of flaming mice and started moving towards Naruto with great speed.
'Here cos the blue fire,' Naruto thought to himself while rembering what Kurumi told him.
As the first fire mouse dove towards where Naruto stood, Naruto jumped away just in ti before the mouse hit the ground.
BOOOOOM
'They Explode?!!!!' Naruto exclaid with surprise and slight alarm as he covered his face with his arm to protect it from the incoming debris and fire. He could feel that this blue fire was a bit hotter than regular fire jutsu. His eyes turned red under his lenses as he looked around for the remaining exploding fire mice, as their danger elevated a couple of levels in his mind.
His eyes picked up the ever-so-slight change in the dust cloud before another mouse burst through, already diving onto his position with its two buddies right after it.
Seeing them, Naruto jumped back before the second mouse hit.
BOOOOOM
As Naruto heard the explosion, he didn't stop jumping and flipping back as he knew there were still two mice aiming for his position.
BOOOOOM
BOOOOOM
With the final explosion passing, Naruto stopped his retreat and scanned his surroundings for Yugito.
He spotted movent at the edge of his right eye's field of vision. He turned right only for his eye to widen slightly as Yugito was upon him.
His eyes widened more when he spotted the absurdly long claws that ca out of her fingertips coming towards him.
With panicked haste, he pulled a kunai from his pouch just in ti to block the incoming Yugito and her following strikes before jumping a big distance back.
While keeping his eyes on Yugito, Naruto took in a calming breath before whincing slightly. That final exchange with Yugito didn't leave him unscathed. He received long, shallow cuts on his arms with much shorter ones on his abdon and chest that bled a little. Yugito's last attack surprised him.
'What with these claws? Cat claws aren't this long. These are like having a short, thin tanto on the end of each finger. Seems like the going-easy gloves are off.' Naruto thought to himself as his eyes narrowed slightly, and he readjusted his grip on his Kunai
Naruto then dashed towards Yugito with the speed she hadn't seen him use before.
'Fast!!!' Yugito thought as her eyes widened.
With Naruto clashing back with Yugito, the two started an ard Taijutsu fight.
In the stands;
"These two are really different from the other genin. Their speed and reflexes are sothing else." Said a Kumo shinobi with slight appreciation
"I know, right? I hope they show more. This is quite exciting." Another Shinobi said
Samui and Mabui heard them as they were seated nearby, but paid no mind as they focused purely on the intensifying fight in front of them.
In the Kage booth, the silence was deafening as all five sets of eyes were glued on the heating exchange below.
Back in the middle of the Arena;
Yugito held back a wince as she jumped away from Naruto to make so distance between them.
'He really was holding back. His strikes are faster and heavier.' Yugito thought to herself as she tried to figure out the next course of action
'Kitten, DODGE!' Ca an urgent shout from within Yugito, snapping her out of her thoughts and focus on Naruto, only to find him diving towards her with his arm cocked back.
She was able to jump back in ti for Naruto's fist to shit the ground where she once stood
BOOOM
Yugito felt her skin crawl, and the hairs on her back stood up as she witnessed the ground crack and split open under the power of Naruto's strike.
'What type of strength is this? I would have been in bad shape if that had hit .' Yugito thought worriedly to herself as she started to weave a set of hand seals.
'Katon, Goukakyuu No Jutsu (Fire style, fireball jutsu) '
A Blue fireball, twice Yugito's size, rushed out of her mouth and towards Naruto.
Naruto, seeing the incoming fireball and feeling the heat radiating from it, weaved two hand seals in quick succession.
'Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Bullet Technique)'
A powerful torrent of water rushed out of Naruto's mouth and towards the incoming fireball. As soon as the two Jutsu ca in contact, the water stopped the fireball, and a heavy burst of steam was released at the collision spot.
'He can use Suiton too,' Yugito's eyes widen in surprise
Up in the Kage booth, A's eyes narrowed slightly. The boy had shown amazing control over two opposing Elents, Suiton and Raiton, which is rare even among Jonin, which ans the boy has a strong Natural affinity to both elental releases.
(A/N: fire is weak aganist water, water is weak against lightning, lightning is weak against wind, wind is weak against fire and earth is weak against lightning. There is more to this but you get the main idea.)
Back in the arena, Yugito scanned the steam warily for any movent. Her head snapped up when she saw Naruto rush out of the steam, up in the air with his right leg raised up over his head and heading towards her.
Seeing his intention, Yugito jumped away in ti for Naruto's leg to strike where she was.
BOOOOOOOM
Yugito looked with disbelief at the damage and the crater that Naruto had ford in the ground. It was several tis worse than his fist strike.
'Is he trying to kill ?' Yugito thought to herself
'Help out here, Matatabi.' Yugito called for her partner, seeing that the situation called for it
'You got it, Kitten' Matatabi replied
