Three days later, on the 10th of October;

The day started as any other, but to many people in Konoha, it was a day of sadness and mourning. Today is the 1st anniversary of the Nine-Tails attack. A day when people lost their fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and many more. A day when the people of Konoha were attacked in the middle of their own ho.

Naruto woke up very early this day, not to exercise or to go to the hospital, he took a personal leave for the day, but to visit his father and his big sister's graves.

So, after taking a shower and wearing black clothing along with his headband tied loosely around his neck, he fed Mito and changed her diaper before putting clothes on her and carrying her out of the Senju ho in a baby sling. His mother was nowhere to be seen as she was held up in the hospital from yesterday and hasn't even been back ho yet.

In the empty streets, the sun hadn't even peeked over the horizon as Naruto walked through the streets with his sleeping sister in her sling in one hand, and in the other hand, he had two white flowers. He was walking towards the cetery this early to avoid seeing people who would visit the cetery later that day to avoid complications or confrontations. He isn't in the mood for any of that.

As he reached the cetery entrance, He stood still for a mont looking at the nurous graves and headstones that filled the place before walking towards the two specific graves that he ca to visit.

"Hey Dad, Kushina-nee-san, it has been a year, huh?" Naruto said with a tone filled with sadness as he stood in front of the two graves that held two of his most precious people.

Naruto stood silently for a mont before kneeling and putting one white flower on each grave. He then stood back up and stood in silence, looking sadly at the two graves as his mind kept replaying his mories of him alongside them.

"It has been so ti." Naruto started talking after standing silently for quite so ti.

"A lot had happened. So good, so bad. But let's not talk about the bad." Naruto said as he looked with sadness at the two graves

"I am a Chunin and a certified doctor and dic now. Quite the speed to finish the Academy, beco a genin, and then a Chunin in a single year. It is to be expected from the son of the yellow flash, don't you think, Dad?" Naruto said with a small, sad smile.

"I also beca an Uzumaki Seal master. I beca one way earlier than you expected, Kushina-nee-san. I hope that I made you proud." Naruto said with a slightly emotional tone.

"I was able to make so friends. I have Saru-Jiji as my sensei. And I was able to make so good connections in the village." Naruto said

"I went on several missions and had my Chunin exams in Kumo. Don't worry, Kushina-nee-san, I ca back safely after winning the whole thing." Naruto said with a small smile as he imagined that if Kushina were here, she would have been cheering happily while mocking Kumo. She didn't see Kumo in any positive light after they tried to kidnap her.

"I just miss you both dearly. It isn't the sa without you." Naruto said with imnse sadness filling his voice.

As if sensing her big brother's sadness, Mito woke up and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings before her eyes lit up when they looked at Naruto.

"Nawu," Mito called happily while her arms reached for Naruto, making Naruto's sadness almost disappear as he smiled down at the little bundle of sunshine.

"Hey there, imouto-chan," Naruto said with a soft smile as he carried Mito out of the sling before giving her a warm hug, then setting her on her feet on the grass-filled ground in front of the two graves.

Naruto took a seat on his knees beside Mito as she stood looking around her unfamiliar surroundings with one hand grasping Naruto's sleeve while her other hand was near her mouth as she nibbled on her index finger.

"As you can see, Mito-chan is doing well. Quite the hyperactive little thing she is. She is growing up healthy and is officially one year old today. Don't worry about her at all, I will always take care of my precious little sister with everything I've got." Naruto said with a soft smile as the first rays of the morning started to appear as the sun peeked over the horizon. Mito looked around, with a cute, confused look on her face, seeing her brother talking, but couldn't find anyone around.

Seeing this, Naruto chucked slightly before standing up and bending down to pick up Mito, who already had her hands stretched up for him to pick her up.

Naruto carried her gently in his arms while Mito imdiately hugged his neck between her arms while resting her head on his shoulder. Naruto smiled softly before looking back at the graves.

"I hope you both find peace wherever you are. And don't worry, Dad. I have a way for you to be with Kushina-nee-san, just wait a bit longer, Ok?" Naruto said with a soft voice.

Naruto kept looking at the graves for a bit before turning around a starting to walk towards the exit of the cetery. Although he wanted to stay a bit longer, the sun is already up, and people have started to leave their hos. If they treat him and his baby sister with hatred and scorn on regular days, he doesn't want to know what their treatnt will be on the anniversary of the day that caused the start of their hatred.

As he walked towards the exit of the cetery, his eyes stayed on the exit as he already felt a familiar chakra signature approaching. As he exited the cetery, His eyes t with Kakashi's, who was approaching the cetery with five white flowers in his hand. He is wearing black clothing with his headband covering his Sharingan eye.

"Morning, Hatake-san." Naruto greeted Kakashi as he reached the cetery entrance.

"Hey, Naruto," Kakashi said with a blank tone.

"Coming early to visit?" Naruto said

"Not the earliest, apparently, but yeah," Kakashi replied

Hearing her brother talking, Mito lifted her head from his shoulder before turning around and looking at Kakashi.

Kakashi's eyes fell on her, making them soften as he took in her appearance. He hadn't seen her in almost a year.

"She looks so much like them," Kakashi said with a slightly emotional voice. The blonde hair and the purple-blue eyes resembled her parents closely.

"We are going to hold a small birthday celebration for her tonight. You are welco to join us." Naruto said, but Kakashi looked hesitant.

"You don't have to be so hesitant. You are her father's student after all. That should account for sothing." Naruto said softly.

"I will think about it," Kakashi said after a bit of silence

"That is fine. If you agreed to attend, be at the Senju compound after sunset." Naruto said before starting to walk away.

"See you tonight, Hatake-san," Naruto said as he walked away.

Kakashi looked at the departing duo for a mont before turning around and walking into the cetery. Thinking about attending will co later. Right now, he had graves to visit.

His father

His teammates

His sensei

His sensei's wife.

Kakashi let out a sad sigh. Maybe going to the cute little one's birthday wouldn't be so bad after all.
