A couple of hours later, in Tsunade's office;
Akari and her daughter sat on a couch in the office while enjoying two pento boxes with fruit juices to go along with them. They enjoyed the taste very much as they hadn't had anything as tasty before. Naruto has sent a clone ho to make those pento boxes, along with another three for himself, along with his mother and Shizune.
While the Uzumaki mother and daughter enjoyed their food. Tsunade and Naruto were looking at the results of Akari's and Karin's check-up while Shizune did other work in her own office nearby.
Naruto and Tsunade had conducted every kind of test to ensure everything was fine with the two Usumaki. From blood work and blood cultures to full body scans.
During the body scans, Tsunade had to calm herself when she saw the nurous bite marks on Akari's body.
"Well, there is good news," Tsunade said with a relieved sigh, drawing Akari's attention
"Karin is completely healthy with a minimal case of malnutrition that can be dealt with in a few days of healthy eating," Tsunade said, making Akari sigh with relief.
"As for you, you have a more severe case of malnutrition, but not to the degree of making any serious harm or ever permanent damage. You will need a couple of weeks of healthy eating and monitoring." Tsunade said
"As for the essive use of the healing bite, you are lucky that it won't continue. You aren't a shinobi, so your rate of recovering chakra isn't great, even with your impressive reserves. At the rate Kusa was abusing you, in a couple of years, your ability to recover chakra would be cripped and you would start using your life force to compensate. If that had happened, you would have died in about 4 years. And that is the optimistic estimation." Tsunade said in a serious tone.
This made Akari take in a sharp breath of air. If that were true, she would have died, leaving her daughter alone in that village. And she knew for a fact that they would use her daughter the sa way as they did to her.
She looked at Naruto with a look and smile that was filled with appreciation and gratitude before saying with an emotional tone: "Thank you. Thank you very much."
"Think nothing of it. We are family. Uzumaki look out for each other." Naruto replied with a small smile.
Tsunade smiled slightly before turning to Naruto and saying, "Take them back to the compound to rest. I still have so work to do, and I will be back ho so we can celebrate your promotion."
"Ok then, see you tonight, mum," Naruto said before turning to see Akari
"Let's go, I will take you ho to rest," Naruto said
As they stood up, Karin presented her now-empty bento box to Naruto and asked with an eager and innocent tone: "Ni-san, can I have more?" Much to Akari's embarrassnt
"Did you like?" Naruto asked her in a soft tone.
"Yeah, it is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten," Karin replied with a wide, innocent smile, making Naruto give her a warm smile.
" I am glad you liked it. I will make you more of it. And don't worry, you will try other delicious foods that you will like." Naruto said with a warm tone as he patted her head gently. Hearing this, Karin let out a happy and excited cheer, making the others smile warmly.
Naruto then looked at his mother and asked, "Before I go, where is Mito? I didn't see her at ho."
"She is in the playground at the park," Tsunade replied
"Alone?" Naruto asked with worry in her tone.
"Of course not, the children of the Shika-Ino-Cho ca by this morning to take her to play with them. Anyone needs to think twice before even trying anything with a group of clan heirs." Tsunade replied.
It is true. Each clan has one or more of its ninjas watching the children from afar. And let's not forget the Anbu team that is posted in the shadows, keeping eyes on these children.
"You can take Akari and Karen in the compound first, then you can go pick up Mito before sunset," Tsunade said, to which Naruto nodded
"See you later, mum," Naruto said before exiting the room, followed by Akari and Karen.
"You still hungry, Karin-chan?" Naruto asked the little girl as they exited the Hospital. Karin looked up at Naruto and nodded eagerly.
"Then how about we go eat sothing delicious before we go ho?" Naruto said, making Karin smile widely.
"I am really sorry about that," Akari said with an embarrassed tone.
"There is no need to apologize. I am just treating you to sothing I enjoy too." Naruto said with a smile.
As they walked through the village, people eyed them as they walked by. While they still looked at Naruto with hate and malice. They don't do it openly anymore, especially seeing his flak jacket. They also eyed Akari and Karin and muttered between themselves about their relation to Naruto, especially since they share the sa hair color.
As they reached the Ichiraku ran stand, Naruto pushed the flaps on the entrance aside before entering. And upon seeing the familiar man inside, he smiled.
"Hey, Teuchi-oji-san," Naruto said as Akari and Karen entered after him. Upon hearing the voice, Teuchi turned around
"Well, if it isn't Naruto. Welco, my boy. What can I get you?" Teuchi said with a welcoming smile.
"Let's start with three miso ran, Oji-san. These two are Akari Uzumaki and her daughter Karin. They are family that just arrived in Konoha, and I am showing them the wonders of your ran." Naruto said as he sat down with Akari, following suit after putting Karin in a chair.
"You flatter , Naruto-kun. Three Miso Ran coming up." Teuchi said with an enthusiastic smile.
Half an hour later, Naruto walked out from the stand carrying a sleeping Karin in his arms while Akari followed him with an embarrassed smile on her face.
"Mmmmm….Bento...Miso....Ran." Karin mumbled as she leaned her head on Naruto's shoulder. Naruto chuckled lightly when he heard her. Karen had loved ran from the first bite; she had eaten three bowls of Miso ran.
