Naruto, The Perfect Shinobi Chapter 92 92: CH.90 A Clash at The Border

About a day later, on the border between the land of fire and the land of hot springs;

The Shinobi of Konoha has made their base right on the border while sending teams into the land of hot springs. They went uncontested until now, even with the presence of the hidden village of hot springs (Yugakure), as it was currently collapsing internally. Even if they were doing fine, they couldn't do anything about the huge number of Konoha Shinobi on their borders and in their lands.

In the main tent in the middle of the base, Shikaku stood in front of a table that had maps scattered on its top. Around the table stood many of the jonin of this force, with the notable absence being Tsunade and Shizune, along with so other jonin. They were responsible for setting up the base hospital behind the base.

"Any sighted Kumo Shinobi?" Shikaku asked, looking at Hiashi.

"Not yet," Hiashi said simply. So mbers of the Hyuga clan are posted near the border between the land of hot springs and the land of frost, keeping the lookout for any Kumo presence.

"They should be on their way. The news of our mobilization should have reached them." Inoichi said

"For now, reinforce our surroundings and keep an eye out for any of Kumo's movent…..." Shikau said as he and the other jonin looked at the maps and pointed out places that could be made to look out points, strongholds, trap areas, and many others.

That kept up for the next hour or so as the jonin held discussions and sent out orders.

"Excuse ," called a voice filled with urgency from behind the closed tent entrance.

"Co in," Shikaku called, making an out-of-breath Chunin co into the tent.

"Sorry for the interruption, Shikaku-sama. But I carry urgent information from the border of the land of frost." The chunin said before handing Shikaku a scroll, which he opened and started reading.

As Shikaku read the scroll, his eyebrows furrowed at what he was reading.

"What is it, Shikaku?" Inoichi asked

"It is from one of the Hyuga lookouts," Shikaku said as he passed the scroll to Hiashi, whose eyes narrowed upon reading the contents.

"Kumo has reached the border between the land of hot springs and the land of frost. Killer bee was spotted leading that force. The Hyuga look-out said that he is followed by the Kumo Shinobi, one of them has quite similar chakra to Killer Bee, but weaker." Shikaku said, making the jonin look at each other, then at a certain red-haired young jonin.

"Seems like they want to frighten us by sending their two Jinchuuriki this early," Inoichi said

"Naruto," Shikaku called, making the young jonin look at him.

"You lead the third regint and intercept the incoming Kumo forces. You take care of the Jinchuuriki if they decide to enter the fight." Shikaku said

"Reiko, go with him and have one of the Chunin in the regint take ssenger birds with him. Keep us updated on the situation and don't hesitate to ask for reinforcent if you need to." Shikaku said, to which Naruto and Reiko disappeared in a body flicker.

"Hiashi and Tsu, take the second regint and stay just behind the frontline. Be on stand by and see if the third regint needed any imdiate assistance." Shikaku said, the two jonin nodded, before disappearing in a body flicker.

Soti later, at the border between the land of frost and the land of hot springs;

"Bee-sama. Aren't we going to attack with the rest of our Shinobi?" A Kumo jonin asked Bee who stood while humming rhythmically while writing sothing in his notebook.

"~ Overkill that would be, , the magnificent killer Bee, going after those Konoha shinobi~" Bee rhyd as he continued to write in his notebook.

"We already sent Yugito and her team, along with two regints to reinforce them in breaching Konoha's lines of defense. If she needed to, she could transform into her bijuu form and wreak havoc on Konoha's Shinobi and morale." Isamu said, as he stood next to Killer Bee.

...…

"Take him and fall back." A Konoha jonin said to a Konoha chunin, who was carrying his heavily injured teammate.

Said Jonin was clashing with advancing Kumo Shinobi, trying to prevent them from going deeper into the land of hot springs.

Fights and battles broke out between the advancing Kumo forces and the stationed Konoha Shinobi at different parts of the border between the land of hot springs and the land of frost.

The Kumo forces didn't have a standoff or try talking first; instead, they imdiately attacked the stationed Konoha forces without hesitation as per the Raikage's orders.

"Fall back, that is a Jinchuuriki." A Konoha Jonin called out to his comrades as they retreated. Fighting a Jinchuuriki with support is a death sentence for a normal Shinobi.

"After them. Get them before they receive any reinforcents. Push them all the way back to the land of fire." A Kumo jonin shouted with glee as he and the rest of Kumo Shinobi were following Yugito, who was coated with red chakra, closely.

"Why are we suddenly fighting Konoha, Samui?" Mabui asked with a low voice as she and Samui tried to keep up with the advancing Yugito.

"I don't know, but it is Raikage-sama's orders. We must follow." Samui replied.

She and Mabui had been promoted to Chunin a while ago, with Yugito becoming a Jonin herself.

As the Kumo Shinobi advanced with Yugito leading them. The Situation looked dire for the Konoha Shinobi.

'Kitten DODGE.' Matatabi shouted warningly to Yugito, making her stop in her tracks and jump back.

Not long after, sothing or soone appeared in a blur where she was going to be, hitting the ground with imnse force, cracking the ground, and making a large cloud of dust in the air.

This violent appearance halted Yugito in her tracks after she jumped away, making the advancing Kumo forces stop in their tracks. All eyes were on what had halted their advancent.

As the dust settled, a deep and wide crater appeared, making Yugito sweat a bit, and in the middle of the crater, a Konoha Shinobi with red hair stood before jumping up and standing on the opposite edge of the crater, facing Yugito and the rest of the Kumo forces. And one by one, a lot of Konoha Shinobi appeared and stood behind Naruto.

Konoha reinforcents have arrived. And they have arrived fast.

"Is that…..?" Mabui said with a tone that seed stuck in her throat. Even with the distance, she still rembered that hair color.

"Naruto." Samui breathed out with a complicated look.

Yugito's face was blank as her bijuu coat moved around her. Her eyes locked with Naruto's blue ones, which seed to be ice-blue and chilling. Unlike his usual warm sapphire eyes, which she liked to see back then.

'I knew this would happen, but I am still not ready for it.' Yugito thought to herself, trying not to wince from the chilling feeling she was feeling from Naruto's glare.
