Around the sa ti, deep in a secret underground layer underneath Konoha;
"Fu, were you able to find a way to acquire the Uzumaki targets?" Danzo asked with a gloomy tone. He was able to leave his ho secretly and leave a shadow clone there, as he was still technically under house arrest.
"I apologize, Danzo-sama, but we have failed to complete the task," Fu said with an emotionless tone.
"And why is that?" Danzo said with a blank tone, but he was furious, which could be felt by his hand clenching tightly around his cane. This was a great opportunity to get them since most of Konoha's shinobi are away.
"The units we were able to send were unable to get inside the Senju compound. The seals on the parater of that compound couldn't be cracked or understood by those units. And when they tried to follow the targets when they left the compound, the units disappeared completely." Fu replied.
Danzo had ordered for new shinobi to be trained. The trainees were brought from different parts of the land of fire, as Root is officially disbanded and couldn't acquire any recruits from Konoha.
While Root did get new operators, their quality wasn't like the old Root operators. But at least they can be disposed of easily, unlike the remaining original Root mbers.
"Is it Hiruzen?" Danzo inquired
"It is unlikely, as when traces of these units are found by us or Anbu, blood puddles are found with canine prints filling the place. Anbu units seed to be as puzzled as we are," Fu said
"Is it Kakashi Hatake or one of the Inuzuka?" Danzo asked
"It is unlikely for Kakashi Hatake or the Inuzuka to be the culprit, as the canine paw prints are extrely big compared to their dogs. The only ones that can fit the profile are the summons of Naruto Senju." Fu said
Danzo's hand tightened more around his cane.
'So that is why there is no reaction from Hiruzen.' Danzo thought angrily.
"Postpone that mission for now. Acquire new candidates to replace the lost ones and elevate their training." Danzo ordered before walking away.
However, that was easier said than done, as Root had to operate in complete secrecy since their dispersion, along with the cessation of their funding. Any task that Root does now is tough to complete, having to rely mainly on funds that are obtained through doing missions for the black market, which are dangerous and hard to co by lucrative ones.
Back to the battlefield;
Yugito panted heavily as her body twitched from injuries and lightning chakra that littered her body. She stood with her now two-tailed chakra coat still around her, helping her with her injuries and the foreign lightning chakra in her body.
Standing opposite to her was Naruto, his Katana still drawn with lightning Chakra coating it. His clothes are a bit roughed up with so superficial injuries on his body.
'He is a lot stronger than the last ti we fought.' Yugito thought to herself, but it is to be expected if the Konoha deep green jonin flak jacket indicated anything.
'Matatabi, let's go full bijuu mode.' Yugito said, surprising the bijuu inside her a bit.
'You sure?' Matatabi asked
'Yes, I don't know why he is unaffected by your chakra, even though he has been hit by my claws that are coated by it. So, let's go full bijuu mode and overwhelm him.' Yugito replied
'Ok, if that's what you want.' Matatabi said as she pushed a huge amount of her Chakra into Yugito.
The battlefield seed to have gone silent as a huge burst of Chakra could be felt by everyone. Those who were near the source looked in that direction, only to witness Yugito enveloped in blue fire as she stood on her hands and knees, looking like a feline. Her body started to beco larger under the effect of the Chakra while completely covering her in blue flas.
The figure inside the blue flas beca bigger and bigger until a huge blue fla cat with black stripes appeared, with two tails and a set of heterochromatic eyes, the right being yellow and the left being green. The flaming cat was several ters tall and about ten ters long.
Her appearance sent a wave of terror into the Konoha Shinobi while making the Kumo nin excited.
"There it is."
"Those tree huggers won't know what hit them."
Yugito, controlling the transformation, let out a roar that echoed through the battlefield, demoralizing the Konoha shinobi even more.
Yugito's ability to transform into a bijuu without losing control was one of the main reasons for her acquiring the rank of jonin in Kumo.
Yugito turned towards Naruto, only for her to be left confused.
She didn't see fear or even hesitation in his eyes; she saw a questioning look accompanied by a look of fascination as if he was looking at sothing extraordinary or rare. That look seems to rub her the wrong way, infuriating her.
'Kurumi, why is Matatabi so small? She isn't even as large as one of your tails.' Naruto asked his own bijuu.
'It seems her Jinchuuriki can't handle her full size yet. While Matatabi's real size is much bigger, she is nowhere near my size.' Kurumi said with a bit of an arrogant tone, making Naruto ntally chuckle.
'Seems like soone is full of themselves.' Naruto teased
Kurumi was about to report, only for Yugito to interrupt their banter with an attack from her large front paw/leg.
Naruto jumped away while sheathing his Katana as the attack fell on his previous position, crashing on the ground with a bang and making dust and debris fill the air.
(A/N: Let's call Yugito, Matatabi, while she is transford into her bijuu form.)
Seeing Naruto evade, Matatabi attacked again, faster this ti. But Naruto kept dodging with minimal effort and impressive speeds, making Matatabi open her mouth and breathe out a large amount of blue fire with a power comparable if not higher than, Naruto's opening fire jutsu.
Seeing the attack approaching him, Naruto would have dodged, but he didn't, as there were Konoha Shinobi not far away behind him who looked at the roaring blue flas with fear and terror.
Pooooooof
Multiple Shadow clones appeared on Naruto's two sides before all of them weaved two hand seals in perfect synchronization.
Suiton: Suijinheki (Water Release: Water Formation Wall)
Huge amounts of water ca from Naruto and his clones' mouths before rging into one enormous wave that uprooted trees in its way while rushing towards the incoming blue inferno.
The roaring water and blue inferno rushed towards each other before crashing into each other with a thunderous thud, before deafening hisses of steam rushed outwards and into all directions with such force that it picked up everything in its way.
The epic clash of opposing elents stopped nearby battles as the Shinobi tried to look at what was happening through the steam.
The elental clash continued for a couple more monts before it ceased. Stopping the production of steam that already filled the area, reducing the visibility to zero.
Matatabi stood still in the middle of the mist, looking at where Naruto was, waiting to see the fruit of her handiwork.
