"Keep it down next ti. You two aren't even married yet!"
Tsunade shot Uchiha Raizen a pointed look.
Raizen patted his chest and promised, "Next ti we'll definitely be more careful. We won't disturb you again, Sister Tsunade."
Tsunade huffed. "Is Shizune awake? Co over to my place for a al together. Nawaki really wants to thank you in person."
"Uh... Shizune is still resting. She hasn't gotten up yet," Raizen replied, sounding slightly embarrassed. Since he hadn't held back the previous night and demanded quite a bit, Shizune had yet to recover.
Hearing this, Tsunade noted, "Still asleep? Well, leave a portion for her then. You can co over by yourself."
"Mhm, alright," Raizen nodded.
He followed Tsunade and quickly arrived at her ho.
"Thank you, Brother Raizen, for saving my life." As soon as Raizen entered, Nawaki imdiately bowed to him with deep respect and gratitude.
"No need for such formality. It was just a small matter," Raizen waved his hand, signaling Nawaki not to be too polite.
"Have a seat, Little Brother." Tsunade walked over with a bottle of sake. She poured a cup for Raizen and then one for herself.
"Your sister offers you a toast!" Tsunade raised her glass to Raizen.
Raizen smiled and lifted his own. "Cheers!"
"Nawaki is the person most important to . Thank you, Raizen, for resurrecting him." After draining her cup, Tsunade thanked him once more.
Raizen replied warmly, "Don't ntion it, Sister. Your brother is my brother. There's no need for us to be strangers."
"Brother Raizen, I'll toast you too." Nawaki poured himself a cup and downed it, imdiately sticking out his tongue at the burning sensation.
"Nawaki, you're still young. No drinking. This is the first and last ti."
Nawaki had only just graduated from the Academy when he died at age twelve. Despite the years that had passed, his ntal age remained that of a twelve-year-old boy. Furthermore, Raizen hadn't expended extra chakra to sculpt an adult body for him, so he still looked exactly as he did when he was twelve.
"Oh, I understand." Facing Tsunade's demand, Nawaki was perfectly obedient. Having died once, he understood that he shouldn't do anything to make his sister sad ever again.
A Place for Nawaki
As the drinking progressed and the sake took hold, Tsunade turned to Raizen and said, "Raizen, I want Nawaki to join the Konoha Military Police Force. I wonder if that would be acceptable?"
"Join the Military Police Force?"
Raizen was montarily stunned. He asked, confused, "Sister Tsunade, wouldn't it be better to keep him by your side? Your ANBU is far more established. Wouldn't it be better for him to join them? My Police Force is currently just a fra—an empty shell. Letting Nawaki join is just wasting his ti."
"I don't intend to reveal his identity to the public," Tsunade explained. "Your Police Force has Might Dai and the others. They are also resurrected n. Staying with them is where Nawaki truly belongs."
In truth, Tsunade was also thinking of Raizen's safety. She didn't want more people knowing that Raizen had the power to revive the dead. If word got out, desperate people looking to bring back lost loved ones would inevitably target him, creating a massive security risk. Nawaki staying in a low-profile, "dormant" departnt like the Uchiha Police Force was the safest bet.
Furthermore, the strength Raizen had displayed made Tsunade feel he was incredibly reliable. She felt safe placing Nawaki under his wing.
"Very well. As long as Nawaki is willing, I have no problem with it," Raizen agreed with a nod.
"Thank you, Raizen," Tsunade said gratefully.
"Thank you for taking in, Brother Raizen! I'll work hard!" Nawaki added. To the boy, the world was a strange place after being dead for so long; his old friends were all grown up and on different paths. He needed a place to start over and pursue his dreams again.
"You're welco!" Raizen waved it off.
Caring for Shizune
Once full, Raizen brought a portion of the breakfast back to Shizune's house. By then, Shizune was up and washing her face.
"You're awake?" Raizen set the food on the table and walked over to her in the bathroom.
"Mhm. Where did you go, Raizen-kun? I thought you'd gone ho!!" When Shizune woke up to find him gone, she had felt a twinge of sadness. Seeing him return, that gloom vanished instantly, replaced by joy.
Raizen explained, "Sister Tsunade called over for breakfast. She said she wanted to thank properly. I wanted to take you with , baby, but you were still asleep and I didn't have the heart to wake you. You aren't mad at , are you?"
"How could I be mad at you, Raizen-kun!? It's my fault for... for not having enough stamina last night!" Shizune blushed.
Raizen laughed. "Nonsense, baby! You were wonderful last night. Are you finished getting ready? I brought breakfast back from Sister Tsunade's. Eat it while it's hot, or it won't taste as good."
"Mhm!!!" Shizune nodded, her face full of happiness.
She sat at the table while Raizen sat beside her, hand-feeding her bit by bit.
"Thank you, Raizen-kun. You're so good to ." Shizune's cheeks were flushed with a mix of bliss and shyness.
"You're my future wife. If I'm not good to you, who would I be good to?" Raizen teased, pinching her nose.
After she finished eating, Raizen produced a bottle of Papaya Nutritional Juice.
"Baby, drink this. It'll help you recover faster!" Raizen gave her a wink.
"Mhm!" Shizune knew exactly what that juice was for. Seeing him bring it out, her excitent spiked. With the help of this juice, she could finally walk with her head held high. She would never have to feel insecure about her "airport" chest or fear the mockery of others again.
Her hands trembled with excitent as she popped the cap. "Raizen-kun... I'm drinking it now."
"Slow down, don't choke!" Raizen cautioned.
As the juice went down, Shizune's skin began to take on a healthy, rosy glow at a visible rate. Simultaneously, a thin layer of impurities began to surface on her skin. Shizune watched the process with wide-eyed awe.
"Raizen-kun... thank you so much!!!"
Shizune was beyond ecstatic.
