Now reading: Chapter 77 77: The Birth of Uchiha Mirai from Naruto: The Uchiha Patriarch, a Action novel by Bagga10.

After much pleading from Momoko, Raizen eventually gave in and took her to a secluded grove for a "ga of hide-and-seek" that lasted a good hour.

As night fell and dinner was finished, Raizen took Sasuke and Karin to the cinema. The two children were over the moon, chatting and laughing the entire way. Seeing them so happy filled Raizen's heart with a sense of profound relief.

Ti ticked by steadily.

Under Raizen's day-and-night dedication, the won at the hot spring inn—Sakurako's group and Guren's team—all successfully conceived within a few months.

A few more months passed.

Finally, the mont arrived for Yuhi Kurenai to give birth. Amidst the tense atmosphere of everyone waiting outside, a sharp infant's cry finally broke the silence.

[Ding! Uchiha clan mber 1. Reward: 1 Kakashi-unit of Chakra, Pupil Power 15, Mangekyō Sharingan.]

The long-awaited system voice rang out once again.

Before long, Haruko opened the door, carrying a bundle in her arms. She walked up to Raizen and bead, "Congratulations, Master. It's a beautiful little princess."

"Good, good! Let hold her." To Raizen, this was a double blessing. He took the child with trembling, excited hands.

Looking into the baby's eyes, which sparkled like polished rubies, Raizen declared, "From now on, this child shall be nad Uchiha Mirai (Future)."

He carried the baby into the delivery room to find Kurenai pale and exhausted. His heart softened with tenderness as he imdiately produced a bottle of Papaya Nutritious Juice to replenish her energy.

After downing the small bottle, Kurenai's pallor vanished at a speed visible to the naked eye, replaced by a healthy rosy glow. She looked nothing like a woman who had just gone through labor.

"You've worked hard, my precious Kurenai."

Raizen gently placed the baby beside her. "The child takes after you. She has those big, ruby-like eyes."

"By the way, I've given her a na: Uchiha Mirai."

Kurenai looked at the child with a face full of maternal love. "Raizen-kun, thank you for giving such a lovely girl," she said softly, turning her gaze toward him.

Raizen leaned down and lightly kissed her cheek. "I should be the one thanking you, Kurenai. Thank you for bringing our daughter into the world."

"Bearing Raizen-kun's child... it's only right," Kurenai whispered, a faint blush dusting her cheeks.

A month later, Raizen hosted a lavish banquet to celebrate the child's full-month milestone. He made a point of inviting Asuma.

At the feast, Raizen carried Mirai over to Asuma with a triumphant grin. "Asuma, look at this child. Doesn't she look just like ? This nose, this mouth, this face... she's definitely going to be a world-class beauty."

Asuma stared at the child in Raizen's arms, a wave of gloom washing over him. He couldn't shake the feeling that sothing profoundly important, which should have been his, had been snatched away.

"Raizen, what's the little one's na?" Might Guy asked. He was still sporting a shaved head, but instead of the dress shirt Raizen had picked for him previously, he was back in a green tracksuit. The man's devotion to the color green was unshakable.

Raizen glanced at him. "Uchiha Mirai."

"Excellent! A fine na! Uchiha Mirai... it seems you have great expectations for this child's future!" Guy flashed his signature sparkling teeth and shouted, "Raizen! When she grows up, I'll take her as my disciple! I'll pass on my ultimate techniques to help your cause!"

Raizen's eyes brightened for a split second before he shook his head vigorously. "My daughter is a treasure. I won't have her learning your bone-breaking Taijutsu. I don't want her turning into a tomboy. So, Guy... thanks, but no thanks."

The Eight Inner Gates required imnse suffering, and Raizen couldn't bear the thought of his daughter enduring that kind of pain.

"If you're open to it, I'd be willing to teach her a few things," Kakashi spoke up. As Raizen's most loyal "fan," Kakashi naturally felt a sense of admiration for the author. Out of respect, he was willing to pass his secret arts to the girl.

Raizen's eyes lit up. "If it's Kakashi's techniques, that's a different story. She could learn those."

"But Mirai is still too young, so there's no rush. However, Kakashi, I do have soone to recomnd to you right now. Would you be willing to teach him?"

Kakashi blinked, confused. "Who might that be, Raizen?"

Raizen smiled and waved to the nearby Sasuke. "Sasuke, co over here for a mont."

Sasuke ca hopping over. "What is it, Uncle Raizen?"

Raizen patted Sasuke's head and pointed at Kakashi. "I'm introducing you to a teacher. This is the Konoha Jōnin, Kakashi. In this village, there are very few people stronger than him."

Sasuke looked at Kakashi with a hint of trepidation.

Kakashi studied the boy for a mont, then pulled a slip of paper from his pouch. He handed it to Sasuke. "Hold this between two fingers and channel your chakra."

Sasuke glanced at Raizen for approval.

Raizen nodded. "Do as he says. He's checking your chakra nature."

Raizen was internally smirking. The fact that Kakashi pulled out the litmus paper ant he had basically agreed. Sasuke's primary affinity was Lightning, perfectly matching Kakashi. He was locking in this master-disciple bond early.

Sasuke obeyed. As he channeled his chakra, the paper suddenly crumpled into a mass of wrinkles.

Seeing this, Might Guy shouted, "Kakashi! This kid is a perfect fit for you!"

"Sasuke Uchiha, are you willing to take as your master?" Kakashi asked, his expression turning serious.

"Greetings, Kakashi-sensei!" Under Raizen's prompting, Sasuke gave a deep, respectful bow.

Kakashi nodded gravely. "Good. From today on, you are my disciple."

"Sasuke, pour three cups of wine for Kakashi," Raizen added suddenly.

"Why three cups, Raizen?" Guy asked curiously.

"The Uchiha are a prestigious clan. Becoming a disciple must be done with proper decorum. These three cups signify that Kakashi is now an elder you must respect. Sasuke, you must treat him with the utmost honor from now on."

"Don't worry, Uncle! I will!" Thinking of the clan's honor, Sasuke nodded solemnly, poured three cups of sake, and presented them to Kakashi.

Kakashi gave Raizen a suspicious look. He suspected Raizen was just finding an excuse to get him drunk, but he had no proof.

"Sasuke, train hard with Kakashi. No slacking off, you hear ?" Raizen instructed.

"I understand, Uncle Raizen! I'll give it my all!"

"Good boy." Raizen patted the kid's head, thinking to himself: Finally, I found a free laborer to take over Sasuke's training! Now, instead of the boy pestering him every evening and weekend, he could send him to bother Kakashi. Kakashi, the "Copy Ninja" who knew a thousand jutsu, would have plenty to keep him busy.

This way, Raizen would have even more ti to focus on the heavy "labor" of reviving the Uchiha clan. With so many won, he had to work day and night.
